The concert at Fantasy Springs was EPIC!! It was Adam Lambert’s FIRST full concert, and I feel so privileged to have been there! He had the most amazing presence when he walked out onto the stage. He tried to hold his “Rock God” persona at the end of his opening number For Your Entertainment, but after listening to the thundering response from over 3,500 screaming fans, his full-on Adam smile broke through and we knew he was touched.
Here are the videos from the night!!

Thank you to Libraglam for bringing the following video to my attention. In light of everything negative that’s been posted lately, let’s take a moment to remember why we’re all here. This serves as a great reminder as to who Adam was before American Idol. If you didn’t see his “past,” now you know what is making his “present.”
Thank you to Skylarvon for making this beautiful piece. And special kudos for starting it with the perfect Muse song – Uprising!
Adam is continuing to open himself up to the public and give us a peek into his life. Here we get to go behind the scenes with Adam as he gives us a taste of the shooting for Whataya Want From Me.
I love the natural feel of his singing in this video. His stripped down appearance easily paves the way for him to open up emotionally and let us into his heart. Watch his expression as he learns he gets to decide his own actions when he’s exiting the club and “going through the gauntlet” to his limo. IMO this is an example of the trust and confidence that the directors have in him. With three extrememly diverse videos under his belt already, it shows this man is living up to his promise of giving us more than a one-stop shop.

We hear that Adam Lambert has begun to focus on international exposure. I’m sure all the international supporters of this web site are breathing heavy now! Earlier this week he was up in Canada, and the Canadians had nothing but big love for him. Is it just me, or do their DJs ask better questions?!?

Our Glam Rocker admits to E News Now that his look is more of a simple do-over than an original style. “What I do has been done before,” says Adam. He takes his looks from 70s and 80s glam artists, and David Bowie is a huge influence. Never mind, we LOVE everything you do! No matter the style that he’s re-creating, he always brings something new to the page.
After the E News Now video, be sure and check out the Man In The Box video showing his playful side, from his photo shoot with V Man Magazine, out Thursday.

MAN IN A BOX from NINJI on Vimeo.
“It’s hard to imagine any Idol going through a crazier 2009 than Adam Lambert, whose year was filled with enough highs and lows to fill an entire season of Fantasia’s reality show. But the man always kept his cool. And he certainly looked cool last night on the red carpet of Gridlock NYE, the 5,000-capacity Hollywood megaparty at Paramount Studios where he headlined 2009’s New Year’s Eve. (That was definitely a step up from Mark’s Restaurant, the aforementioned intimate eatery where he sang on December 31, 2008.) With both his glittery tuxedo coat and painted face looking like they were lovingly attacked by a Bedazzler–in the best possible way, of course–Adam sparkled like a star.”
Lyndsay Parker was only amongst the many reviewers to praise Adam’s show at Gridlock’s New Years Eve Bash, where he performed a full 10 song set plus one extra (1. Music Again; 2. If I Had You; 3. Whataya Want From Me; 4. Strut; 5. Sure Fire Winners; 6. Soaked; 7. For Your Entertainment; 8. Sleepwalker; 9. Fever; 10. Down The Rabbit Hole, and the old Idol favorite Whole Lotta Love as an encore).
Adam sparkled bright and wore an amazing outfit, and described himself as being ’sparkly and glittery, trying to match the fireworks tonight!’ in the pre-show press interviews. Some of the redcarpet clips:
Videos of all songs also made their way to Youtube, so here it goes, in order:
Great job Adam, he looked like he had lots of fun and most of us can certainly appreciate that as well!
But the kids love him nonetheless!!! Great video. Hope Adam will get to see this and realize that he has such a wide range of fans!
This is great! Every time you happen to be watching Fox, keep your eyes open for their NEW promo! Set to a very familiar song.. For Your Entertainment! It looks really, really nice and totally goes with the lyrics of the song! So, this will expand the song’s awareness by a ton, maybe it is not the ‘forgotten’ single after all? Who knows.. Anyways, it will never hurt - Some people who just like the song but don’t know Adam might have a chance to get to know him now! And let’s be honest, the song sounds totally awesome put to those Fox clips!
A couple of days ago there were the videos of dance troups using Adam’s song as their inspiration, and now it might be fun to look at some singers covering various songs! For example, one of Adam’s best friends - Ferras - who also co-wrote Aftermath, put out an awesome cover of Whataya Want From Me. He also admits to being ‘obsessed’ with the song, and tells Adam just before he starts: ‘Eh, Adam, don’t shoot me, cuz if it sucks.. you’ll just have to deal with it!’
He seems like such a sweet guy, and has a gorgeous voice! Adam is lucky to have such sweet friends who never sold him out but keep on supporting him in their own ways.
Then there are a couple of guys who put out covers of For Your Entertainment. It seems like Adam really inspired and touched them, if the description of the video is any means to go by! Good to see that the fanbase of Adam does surely encompass more than only females, as is often claimed - and that men also really look up to Adam.
This first guy covered FYE using a piano, and said that ‘this man is such an inspiration. When I first saw him on American Idol, I saw so much of myself in him. I’m equally as flamboyant, the constant feeling like an outsider, misunderstood due to one’s alternative appearance & nature…etc etc etc. Great guy. Great debut single.‘
The second used an acoustic guitar, and mentioned ‘cool new song that I like and put my own spin on (it’s hard to keep a dance pop song sounding similar when playing it on the acoustic :P) Adam Lambert’s a great new icon in the music industry, and I hope he’s here to stay
‘. It came out really nicely!
Throughout the night, various actors starring in the music video for Whataya Want From Me have been tweeting their whereabouts and even uploaded some photos and clips of Adam.
Clayton Johnson, who was one of the first to clue us in that there was actually a music video happening, hasn’t been up to a lot of tweeting but only mentioned that he was:

A lot more information was received from Julianna, the girl who already promised updates throughout the night. Her twitter is filled with updates and information. At one point, she could even tell us the general direction of the video! After Clayton mentioned that he was shooting a ‘club scene’, she confirmed this by mentioning that she is ‘playing a girl who’s to young to get in the club.‘
Then, she casually mentioned Adam’s outfit: ‘(Adam) looks beautiful in a black suit/tie/snake leather shoes!‘. Ooh, sounds good already! And, according to her, Adam was ‘very nice and funny’. Hey, what’s new?
She also managed to take a quick photo, only showing Adam’s head:

And another one without his head but just the outfit!

Adam mentioned to her that he’s been on set since 7am that morning, and that the whole video was being shot that day. The tone of the video is described as being ‘intense’, and shot from the point of view of Adam’s lover, and there is ‘some fighting‘. Plus, Adam is ‘wearing this cool ass skull ring and skull buttons on his collar‘.
There is already a video floating around where people are fussing over Adam’s outfit and the director tells everyone what to do. Looks really cool. This was uploaded by Alyxx Dione, who is probably another actress in the video, as she mentioned earlier that day that she was ‘On set working on @adamlambert’s video for “Whataya Want From Me”. If you haven’t heard the song, you must! Its dope!‘
Poor people out in the cold! But at least, as one of the actors tweeted, they’ve got Mexican food on set to keep ‘em going..
So the general idea must be something like Adam having a fight with his ‘lover’ (male/female? Would be interesting to see what he goes with!), and then something with a club / outside of a club. Julianna tweeted this short video, where Adam is being mobbed by paparazzi/fans as he walks out of the club. It’s without a doubt part of the shoot (hear the ‘ACTION!’ in the beginning?).
This would mean that in the video Adam is already portrayed as a star, one who is having relationship issues; and tries to work it out by going clubbing? And the whole thing is seen through his troubled lover’s eyes, maybe someone who is wondering whether Adam wants him to stay home and out of the public eye or go out with him and be seen and hogged by paps, a true ‘whataya want from me?’
Probably reading too much in this but it is fun to come up with scenerios that fit with the hints we’ve been given so far! And the question remains, will the lover be revealed as being male or female, or remain anonymous? Male would be really brave and true to who Adam really is - but might cause controversy again. Thoughts?
(and let’s hope Adam is back home and in his warm bed by now. Here we are thinking he is finally getting some rest because of how quiet it’s been around him, but in fact he’s pulling 24 hour days filming a music video!)
According to various sources, Adam is in the process of shooting a music video for his latest single ‘Whataya Want From Me’. There aren’t that many details available yet - quite the opposite from For Your Entertainment, where the dubious photos of scandily clad actors and Adam in a Matrix outfit surfaced quite rapidly. The only information available so far is taken from the Twitter pages of those people that are allegedly the actors of the shoot.
This guy, for example, Clayton Johnson, is probably one of the actors - he used to do some work for Nickelodeon. He twittered earlier today that they are going to be working on the video ‘all night’.

The main actress is this lady, Julianna Milton. She seemed surprised at the surge in her number of followers after she mentioned that she was going to be working on the video; and promised more updates tonight when the actual shooting is happening.

A poster on MJ’s blog revealed some more information about the shooting: “They worked on WWFM MV yesterday at Sunset Studios, filmed last night and are filming more of the WWFM MV tonight. Looks like it would be out before the end of the years.”
What do you think the video will be about? The song primarily seems to be about a relationship, at least that was Pink’s intention while writing it and probably also Adam’s interpretation while recording it. Yet, the recent events gave it a whole new meaning. Which one will Adam go with, the more cliché couple-fighting thing or something a bit deeper than that?
Will keep you updated if more information becomes available
But for now, another cheer: we’ll get another music video! Hopefully this single will do well in the charts so we get to see the video often, too.
Two masterpieces found their way to us! The first one is an extended (thank god) version of the Kiis FM interview with JoJo, and you know what? It turned out to be one of the best interviews I’ve heard! Adam is funny (’We’re brotha’s from anotha mothaaa!‘), obviously relaxed and just being himself. He addresses his Twitter obsession, as well as how much he loves his fans (yeah go listen, he totally gets us. Haha!), some verrry random questions about his gloves and how he managed to pull off the long part of Pick U Up without breathing..
Oh, and an interesting piece about how Adam got to know that Michael Jackson wanted to meet him before he passed. And guess what his most embarrassing moment was? (I don’t agree. It wasn’t embarrassing! It was cool! :D).
GO HERE TO LISTEN TO THIS AWESOME INTERVIEW!
The second ‘interview’ comes from Jingle Ball NY, where Adam once again met up with Jim Cantiello. He seems so laid back and in a happy joking mood; and the fact that these particular snippets are the outtakes from the actual interview makes it even better! The interview already starts off with Adam wondering out aloud what is going on next to them, probably referring to a large media crowd swamping someone - to which Adam quips ‘Tayyyylor Swifffffft’.
Next segments shows awkwardness regarding hugs, Adam fangirling over Ke$ha and being terribly amused that she wants to ‘have his glambabies’, and Longineu’s recent twitter plugs over shiny drum sticks. More entertainment ensues when Adam tries to plug an album but doesn’t know how to pronounce the band’s name and promply ’starts arguing with the cameraman in 3…2…1…’ over it.
Plus, more about Kris Allen’s mom and Adam ends with a curious description of rockstar life: ‘In and out.. really fast.’
The music video of For Your Entertainment wasn’t released until like four days ago, but it immediately forced its way into the top 10 and kept climbing up from there - resulting in the video dominating the music video charts for the past couple of days! Even though the song never really catched on as a single and never received much airplay, it seems to have found a better destiny as a visual performance - also very well suited for youtube. No suprise there, the video is sensual yet mysterious, and very well directed.

Even Lady Gaga with her Bad romance video, not the worst to go up against, is losing out against Adam! Some speculated it was only a short-term surge, saying that he would rapidly fall down the rankings again - yet the video has proven to be a steady leader. It is also well-received on Youtube, where the combined viewings are adding up to about 400,000; not taking into account that various clips with substantial viewer counts have been deleted.
MTV also just added FYE to its POWER Rotation, implying the highest number of plays possible - around 25-30 a week! So doing very well here as well.
Now the question is, does Adam know how succesful his video is? Or was he just playing around when he innocently plugged his video on twitter three days ago?
The “For Your Entertainment” music video is now up on iTunes!
8:18 PM Dec 15th from Echofon
If you don’t have it yet, go get it from iTunes!! ![]()

This event not only resulted in an overabundance of cute photos (barbie dolls? Really Adam, really?) but also gave us some more interview clips! In this first one, Adam is totally fangirling over the artists that he saw walking around at Jingle Ball.. and he doesn’t miss the opportunity to plug Kris again, lol.
Kris sort of responded to the AMA controversy, and I’m sure he meant for his comments to be supportive and friendly but it sort of sounded awkward ‘Adam being Adam.. finally getting to see the real Adam’. Plus, Adam explained his interpretation of Whataya Want From Me and shares his favorite line of the song!
Very cute interview backstage, he seemed really happy and positive this night! And the reporter is SUCH a fan, having lotsa love for Adam! Talking a bit about adapting to the newly adopted fame.. and some more talk about Kris, he’s such a good and supportive friend (and even admitting he’s jealous of him. Aw!).
Someone taped a part of the Q&A held during the event; in which Adam promises us that all the songs he recorded will eventually get out there, be it as extra iTunes releases or for the international editions! And just in the end where the vid cuts off, he admits that his worst fear is that people won’t buy his album. Oh Adam. You should know better than that, the album is doing great already!
If you’re a frequent visitor on this web site, you’ve heard about the DonorsChoose.org charity project endorsed by Adam. But are you wondering is it really coming from Adam or are the Head Honchos forcing it?
I feel very confident in saying this comes from Adam. Relationships between the Idol artists and 19 Entertainment have changed from what we suspected as one-sided during the early seasons of American Idol. Everyone at 19E wants the best for Adam and all of their artists. When the artist has clear direction and vision for their career, it makes sense that 19E work with them and guide the artist to make that vision come into focus.

While Adam appreciates all the love and support from his fans, and is so touched that people are spending their money on gifts for him, he has realized he has no room on the tour buses for all those gifts! I spoke two weeks ago with 19E and learned that Adam has a ton of mail and gifts waiting for him back at the 19E offices in Los Angeles. All of the mail and packages being sent to all 10 of the Idols during the Tour is gathering in storerooms and will be delivered to them upon completion of the Tour. The official I spoke with jokingly told me that basically all of the other nine’s things fit into some large boxes and Adam practically needs a room to himself for all of his fan mail! Now imagine everything that’s being given to him on the road. How big do you think the storage under the buses is? Not big enough for Adam’s fans, I imagine!
Adam is really excited about the DonorsChoose.org project where he’s asking his fans to take the money they would spend on gifts for him, and instead pick a project from the hundreds listed, and make some teachers’ and childrens’ dreams come true.
Watch the following video from Adam, forgive the choppiness of the comments inserted (it wasn’t by us!) and think about helping others. Enjoy getting lost in those theatrical eyes and bathe yourself in the smooth tones of his cool voice. After you’ve done all that, click here and help out some needy kids. Who knows where the next Adam Lambert will come from?!?
~ Carol ~
I liked his intro, he definitely gets into the song:
