2010 has been an incredible year for Adam Lambert and his fans. We have been able to enjoy his round-the-world Glam Nation performances, read all of his interviews and see more than we should of his off-stage minutes, thanks to the instantaneous beauty of the internet.

The year has ended in a surprise for me as well. I was doing some last-minute holiday shopping and was run over in the mall parking lot as I was making my way into the store. Thankfully, all I have is a broken foot, which has kept me from posting on this site. I am truly sorry for the silence and hope to be back full-time soon. In addition to the two Los Angeles concerts that I want to give Lila’s and my impressions of, there have been so many little Adam tidbits that have flown by this site. I’ll work on making this a New Year’s present for all of you! :)

Meanwhile, I’m reprinting a story from my girlfriend Renee Snyder of the examiner.com that is a great wrap up of Adam’s wonderful accomplishments for 2010. http://www.examiner.com/adam-lambert-in-national/adam-lambert-2010-a-year-review

Have a wonderful New Year’s! Here’s looking to a Glamorous 2011!!

Love ya!

Adam Lambert: 2010 year in review
By Renee Snyder

Adam Lambert can no longer be considered as just “American Idol runner up.” Lambert has truly made a name for himself through hard work and his incredible vocal abilities. Let’s take a look at what Adam has accomplished over the past year.

Adam’s debut album, For Your Entertainment, has been certified around the world. The album has gone gold in the U.S. and Australia and went platinum in Canada and New Zealand. Adam also released an “Acoustic Live!” EP with acoustic versions of five songs off his album. The EP was an immediate success, debuting at #126 on the Billboard 200 chart. Physical copies of the EP sold out so fast, Sony had to run a second batch to keep up with the demand.

The singles off the album have also been huge hits around the world. “Whataya Want From Me” has already gone Platinum in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand, Double Platinum in Canada and Gold in Denmark and Germany. Whataya Want From Me also placed at #5 for most played song in Australia and won “Best international Single” at the German 2010 CMA – Wild and Young Awards.“If I Had You” is double platinum in Australia and gold in New Zealand. In addition, Adam has released other singles throughout the world. His single “Sleepwalker” has been a huge hit in Canada and he released “Aftermath” and “Fever” in several international countries, both of which are charting high on various radio stations. And Adam’s music has been recognized by the music industry, having ranked high on 10 of Billboard’s “Best of 2010 Year-End” charts.

Not only has his music done well this year, but Adam’s music videos have also caused a stir. His video for Whataya Want From Me won MuchMusic of Canada’s “UR Faoritev International Video” award and was voted “Favorite Music Video” in “AfterElton.com 2010 Visibility Awards.” In addition, the Whataya Want From Me video placed at #4 in VH1’s “Top 40 Music Videos Countdown of 2010.” Adam’s “If I Had You” video placed at #33 on VH1’s “Top 40 Music Videos Countdown of 2010″ and #16 on Yahoo! Music’s “Top 20 Music Videos of 2010.”
Adam has supported charitable efforts, such as donorschoose.org, in which he asked his fans to donate to the charity rather than give him gifts. He sponsored a competition among his fans to raise money for donorschoose.org and then even visited one of the classes helped by the donations. In addition, Adam produced an “It Gets Better” video against bullying, and also showed support for FCKH8,” a gay suicide prevention charity campaign.

He also had a successful world tour this year, including 113 shows. He performed his Glam Nation show to sold-out crowds throughout the U.S. and in 19 other countries. The Glam Nation tour was voted “Top Live Act of 2010” by All Headline News. The show also earned the #10 spot in the “Top 10 Shows of 2010” by DallasMorning Post -Year in Review: Music and ranked #1 for the “Top 10 Capital Region Concerts of 2010” by timesunion.com. Glam Nation has also been nominated for “Concert Tour of 2010” as part of Australian POPrepublic.tv’s “IT LIST Awards 2010.” (Winners will not be chosen for the IT LIST awards until January 31, 2011.)

Probably the icing on the cake for Adam this year has been his Grammy nomination for “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.” The Grammy nod proves that Adam is a serious recording artist that can hold his own in the music industry.

Adam summed up his year with a recent tweet to his almost 800,000 fans:
“Happy Holidays! Can’t believe 2010 is coming to an end… Crazy year… !”

Having just come off American Idol a year and a half ago, Adam has had many accomplishments of which to be proud of this year. This rising star can expect more and more honors as his career continues to soar into the next decade.

What do you think of Adam’s accomplishments in 2010?

Here is an absolutely adorable compilation video done of all the KRADAM Tour dances. OMG - could we love them any more??? Thanks to elocin19 for putting these together.

Hi guys!!
So sorry that it’s taken me this long to get this recap out. This little thing called “real life” came up and so I had some things to take care of. Sooo, my grand idea was to give you ALL the videos from the finale concert!!! That way, whether you weren’t able to go or you overdosed and went more than once, you can enjoy it all! I hope you love watching them as much as I do. Wait til you get to the Bowie Medly, the jewels on his face… YOWZA.By the way, for some reason the only way I could get the Bowie Medley to work was having it on there twice, so click on the second one and it should come up just fine. The finale song video is hilarious to watch, i’m still enjoying that one again and again. Take it all in because this is now a part of his past and we all get to look forward to the future.

Here it is, September 16th. Yesterday was payday - hooray, I can go buy lots of groceries now. And the fiscal year is coming to an end, so I’ve got to get some insurance paperwork in before the end of the month. Oh yeah, end of the month - it’s my husband’s birthday on the 30th. I’ve got to think of something really special. But there’s something else gnawing at me. That date represents something else really big.

Oh no! That’s right - the end of the American Idol tour. I don’t even want to think about it. I won’t be able to start my days with YouTube clips from the previous night’s concerts, held someplace back east. My concert was in the beginning - during the second week. Concert Number Ten in San Diego. We were so junior then. Back when Adam had just started putting his hand to his ears and calling out for more screams during Whole Lotta Love.

I had black polish on my nails, but I took beautiful peacock blue polish to my pedicure the day before the concert. I’ve kept it on since then. I guess now is an appropriate time to take out the polish remover and cotton balls and finally clean it all off. Kind of symbolic.

Just out of curiousity, how are all of you, our faithful readers dealing with this momentous day? Please comment and let us know!

This is Jeanette, and I’m back!!! I got home last Sunday after vacationing in Arizona – it was a great trip, but I have to say that even the Grand Canyon was anti-climactic after Madison and Grand Rapids. The scenery I saw was spectacular, but rocks are just rocks, and Adam is a precious one-of-a-kind soul. I missed you guys, and it will take a while for me to get caught up on the website. Thanks to Sue for bringing you guys home with TOUR VIBES – she tells me she enjoyed it, so you guys must not have skered her too badly!

Now that the tour’s over, I thought it would be interesting to reflect back on the journey of the past two and a half months. I think many of us would agree that it’s been a life-changing experience, but what exactly happened? Did we see it coming? Just what was the big surprise, and where do we go from here?

For me, the tour began in a rather selfish, single-focus manner – it was me and Adam, and my one goal was to get the best ticket I could for the Milwaukee concert. I ordered on pre-sale day, got a floor ticket, and I was happy. I felt my goal had been accomplished. And after the tour started and the youtube videos and fan reviews revealed Adam’s incredible outfits and moves, my initial questions of how he would look and sound were answered. All I needed to do was sit tight and wait for August 28th to roll around.

But a very strange thing happened about 3 weeks after the tour started. In doing the TOUR VIBES and in reading the comments and reviews, suddenly my one small goal of seeing Adam in Milwaukee wasn’t enough. I wanted more of Adam, and it seemed the obvious way to do this was to attend more than one show. The idea of the multi-concert experience grabbed me, and I bought tickets for Madison and Grand Rapids. When I mentioned this in one of my articles, I think I helped to spread the idea, just as it had been spread to me. Adam was HOT HOT HOT, the notion of seeing Adam multiple times burned in us, and like a wildfire, the flames passed from Glamb to Glamb.

And another strange thing happened – the goal was no longer a self-centered one. We wanted to share the experience with each other. It wasn’t about “Adam and me” anymore, but “Adam and us.” I did my best to hook up with other Glambs for all my concerts, and I’m happy my efforts paid off. As incredible as Adam is, and as joyful as he makes me feel, in the end it was the sharing of the concerts with others that made the whole experience so memorable. I truly will never forget any of my 4 concerts or the new friends I met at each one.

This, for me, was the surprise of the tour – not how unbelievably beautiful and talented and sexy Adam is (I already knew all of that!) – but that my selfish goal of “me and Adam” could so thoroughly be transformed into a goal of fellowship and sharing. It is a tribute to Adam’s character as well as his talent that he can inspire this feeling in us. His appeal is universal, and he has proven this by uniting so many of us who never otherwise would have met.

For Adam’s future solo tour, I anticipate that multiple concerts and the sharing of the concert experience with other fans will be our mindset from day one. Certainly this will be my plan, and we here at Glambs Central will do all we can to make this happen for as many fans as possible.

To Adam and all the Idols – thank you for a fantastic tour! We appreciate your hard work and dedication, and we know you persevered through sickness and exhaustion to put on unforgettable shows for us. We know we went a little crazy (OK, a LOT crazy!), but thank you for remaining calm and positive and steadfast through the madness. You’ve set an example for all of us to follow by remaining so composed and centered, and we will all be better people because of you.

Adam, we love you, and we can’t wait to see you shine all on your own!!!!!

~~Jeanette, Glamb #5

It’s Tuesday night at about 12:45 Chicago time. I’ve decided that I’m going to do more than 1 recap for this show. I feel it deserves more than just 1 recap… it deserves the respect of a year long process. They gave their all for us, and I will now give them the respect they deserve. I am going to start with the ever popular bubble tweet from the entire group… I am so going to miss these.
~~Our Last Bubble as a group! We Love Ya’ll so much. Thank you so much! My latest BubbleTweet –> http://bbltwt.com/f8gdy
This tweet just came over…
~~IdolScottAMERICAN IDOLS LIVE TOUR 2009 IS NOW OVER….
Wow, that’s kind of hard to stomach for me. Too final for me… maybe just because i’m exhausted. I promise lots more tomorrow for you! I’m looking forward to sleeping so I can wake up and watch more ADAM, LOL. I’ll be back soon, I promise. In Adam’s words…
~~night night!!! :)
Check back tomorrow for more on the final show…

Monday nights show proved to be another fantastic performance. I’m finding myself just watching the videos over and over. I apologize if I bore any of you with the choices I make. I just get “Adamized” when I start watching and I just lose control over any decisions I should be making. Here’s a couple of his tweets from last night after the show.
~~Syracuse: thanks for bein a great audience!! Wish my voice would come back all the way! That flu ran off w my goods..One more chance!!
~~So imma be really strict bout vocal rest tonight and tommorow b4 the show. :(

I was a little nervous hearing that he still wasn’t 100%. I should have known better. After further review, i’ve decided to share my favorite song with you…Starlight by Muse.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMi_8_-R4MQ
I’m not going to lie, I was just going to leave the Starlight clip as the only one for tonite… but I came across this one-of-a-kind video. It’s the Bowie Medley again, but with a few little added extras. At the 2:33 mark, he dons a fedora! He is completely rocking out in this clip, too. This audience was given a treat and a yummy treat at that. Listen closely at the 4:15 mark and you too will hear him sing, “sex with me and i’ll set you free!”. I’m sorry, WHAT? Does he not understand that a statement like that could be dangerous? At that point he includes a dance move that i’m pretty sure I have not seen him do before… and please let me see it AGAIN! You decide… nice, huh?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugQmGJxoQDQ
I just wanted to add that I LOVE the Elvis look as well. Don’t get me wrong, the messy-just-rolled-out-of-bed look is my absolute favorite, but oh man… Well, I cannot believe that all we have left is 1 more show. Hopefully it is a show that will give us enough excitement to get us through until the REAL show begins… It’s the Final Countdown…
XO…Sue…Glamb#10

First of all, let me apologize for getting this out so late. As most of you figured out, our site was down for quite some time these past couple days. I too felt the anxiety of not being able to get my Adam fix. Fortunately, only technology was to blame. I will be catching up as quickly as I can so you all can OVERLOAD on our favorite sweetheart. Thank you for coming back to us…
Now on to the good stuff! On Sunday night the show began when he came on stage and presented WLL to the crowd in prime Adam fashion. There was a little gap in the video so she could change her battery but after that OMG is all I can say…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XiKV0dUa34. Look at that hair, he looks like he just rolled out of bed and was blessed with a fantastic hair day! It just adds to the beauty doesn’t it? I’ve decided to jump forward ending this beautiful display, just a question though… is it me or does it seem like he’s adding some major dance moves…yowza……http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LntvPUWJQ4k. I cannot believe the level of singing, dancing, and energy he puts out EVERY NIGHT. Thank you Adam for your professionalism day in and day out and I, for one, will never fade away from you.

1… THIS IS IT! The last official American Idol concert is happening on Tuesday September 15th at the Verizon Wireless Center in Manchester, New Hampshire. What can I say that hasn’t already been said? I really wanted to put together a FANtastic tour vibe for you guys. The emotions I am feeling are making it really difficult though. I am so sad that there will be no new youtube videos to watch every morning now. I have been able to watch his videos over and over and over with the excuse of looking for website material! I’m sad thinking of how close they have all become and now they will be heading out in their own directions. That also makes me happy because we finally get ADAM to ourselves, and who doesn’t love that? I cannot wait to hear his new single from the movie 2012. Even more exciting than that is the arrival of his first c.d. I have listened to my Adam c.d. in my car every day since the finale was over. I love it still, but the thought of NEW songs is sooo exciting. Beyond that is the anticipation of his very own tour… good heavens… an entire show put on by his hotness. The happiness far outweighs the sadness but it still is a roller coaster of emotions. I am looking forward to hearing how his last show goes… and I will look forward to sharing it with you!

XO…Sue…Glamb#10

2…1… On Monday September 14th, the War Memorial at OnCenter in Syracuse New York will be rockin’ with the second to last Idol’s concert. Who can even believe that it has come this far so fast? It seems to me like we, the fans, as well as the idols themselves are starting to get a little sentimental. It’s hard to imagine the emotions going through all of them these last few days together. There has to be relief, sadness, excitement and who knows what else??? They have put their lives into this amazing situation for the past year. Who wouldn’t be excited to be going home? Who wouldn’t be saddened by leaving this new family they have made? Oh my, what I would give to be at one of these last two shows… I think that will be the most amazing experience for all involved. For any of you that are heading to the New York show, I WISH I WAS GOING TOO! Have a wonderful time for ALL of us.

XO…Sue…Glamb#10

3…2…1… Three shows to go and on Sunday September 13th, the American Idols will play in Providence, Rhode Island. Here’s to hoping that the Dunkin’ Donuts Center is ready for them! The Idols should be in full singing force for this show, except for possibly Scott who is still a little under the weather. Hopefully they’ve gained some singing momentum for these last three shows and will be ready to rock! Adam seems to be feeling goooood seeing as how he twitter partied again last night. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for all of you that have tickets for any of these last three shows, but my guess is that I won’t need to keep them crossed for long… here’s a little treat from last night…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOQdW_nDpQ0… he looks to be doing just fine…

*****UPDATED WITH VIDEO*****For the sake of being assured, please take a look at Adams entrance last night in Maine. He was outstanding as far as i’m concerned. He may not have hit all of his usual high notes, but to me that’s ok. The fact that he’s dancing around gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling. He is the ultimate professional and noone can EVER take that away from him. This entrance NEVER gets old…enjoy…http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSBzLEf4kpEOn Saturday, September 12, 2009, the American Idol Tour hits Portland Maine at the Cumberland County Civic Center. It will be interesting to see how the gang is doing after such a sad turn of events in Connecticut. For those of you just joining us, Kris was unable to perform due to the doctors orders to rest. It was a sad day for Kris’ fans but also a bonus for Adam’s fans as he went on to sing his regular set and then was also in charge of singing Kris’ part of the duet that they normally sing together. Unfortunately for ALL fans the night ended without a meet and greet so as to hopefully give them all a headstart at feeling better. Friday was a day off for them and i’m sure there was a good amount of rest to be had by all. Seems like Scott was the next unfortunate one…
~IdolScott~~Sorry for the lack of tweets..i’m flat on my back sick in the hotel room :( feel pretty horrible.. That’s a shame.
Well, here’s to the FINAL FOUR shows of the tour. I am looking forward to these as I am sure there will be great things in store for us up ahead. To those of you that have tickets and have waited patiently (or impatiently), your time has come… so enjoy Adam for ALL of us Glambs. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that your dreams of Adam will be fullfilled. Here’s to Adam and the FINAL FOUR…
XO…Sue…Glamb#10… I remember and will never forget.

P/S Keep in mind to take the time and vote for Adam in the TWITTER WORLDWIDE ULTIMATE WORLD IDOL VOTE at…
http://tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/worldwide/world-idol

*****UPDATED WITH VIDEO*****http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbMyIEExL8o Not a whole lot to choose from so I chose the finale…WOW so many things keeping our attention today! First of all, GET YOUR VOTES IN…. http://tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/worldwide/world-idol, there seems to be MAD PANIC that Adam may not win. We can’t have that now, can we? NO WAY, so VOTE NOW and VOTE OFTEN.
Secondly, and MOST important… What is going on with our poor sick little idols? The BIG news was that Kris came out at the intermission and announced that under doctors orders he would not be singing at all! Yikes… here’s a little twitter news from yesterday…

~Adam before the show~~Yuck. Everyones sick. Including me. :( singing’s no fun when u feel crappy, but imma do my best tonight Bridgeport.
~Danny ~~Hey u all please keep the idols in your thoughts & prayers. A lot of them r not feeling 2 well! Goodnight & stay healthy twitter family =)
~Adam after the show~~Thanks Bridgeport. Fun show tonight. Fever started after I got offstage. :( I guess I got over-heated. Haha. 2m is get better day.
~Michael~~Bridgeport u guys were awesome tonight. I want to say from the bottom of my heart we are all very sorry for not coming outside tonight.
~Michael~~Several of us are very under the weather and it was a good decision to get on the bus, stay out of the night air, and rest
~Michael~~I hope u guys know how much u mean to us but in order to give the remaining cities the show they deserve we are taking this bug serious.
Lastly, I don’t know if it’s just me or what but I cannot find anything as far as good youtube videos… maybe it’s too early? Here’s one that at least proves what a true entertainer does when he’s sick. He performs!! Not the best of quality but at least we hear his beautiful voice and oh yes, those dance moves… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aStwg3c3tqI. I also heard that Adam sang Kris’ words to for the finale… any truth to that Connecticut? At least there is a day off today so they can rest and regroup for the final four shows. Poor guys…
XO…Sue…Glamb #10

ATTENTION CONNECTICUT… Tonight is YOUR night!!! The American Idols are in YOUR house!!!
On a happy note, Adam’s only tweet yesterday was to express his excitement over one of his favorite bands, Muse…
~Adam-SOO excited for the new MUSE album coming out next week. !!!! Just previewed tracks on itunes and pre-ordered my copy~
Isn’t it funny that we will be doing that when HIS album is coming out?? It’s amusing to see him get excited over a band that HE loves. Does anyone else get the warm fuzzies when he twitters? Kinda like he’s talking just to you? Maybe it’s just me…
From the sounds of it though, some of them are feeling a little under the weather. Here are some twitters that have been floating around…
~Matt-I’m siiiiiiiiiick today… Booooo. I’m craving some good tea with honey and some Reese’s Puffs. Ha Gotta pull it together for tonight!!
~Michael-What up Twitter wooooorld! I hope ur all doing well. I feel like crap today. Boooooo! But we are still bringing it tonight.
~Kris-sorry I havent been on here lately guys. Ive been pretty sick the past couple of days.
~Anoop-imustnotgetsickimustnotgetsickimustnotgetsick…i blame @immattgiraud
~Matt-Well…I made it through the night and people said they couldn’t even tell I was sick out there on stage! perfect! It was rough though.

We will all keep our fingers crossed that they get better soon AND most importantly they keep the germs away from Adam. To any of you that are going to this show… You are in for a treat. Keep in mind to send us those pics/videos to photos@glambs.org.

HERE’S A POST ON OUR THREAD THAT JUST SUMS IT ALL UP DOESN’T IT?
Susan says:
September 9, 2009 at 4:39 am (Edit)
Hi all! I am in heaven! Last night I met the most beautiful man in the world! And this was after the Reading PA show (which, by the way, was awesome, and better than the Atlantic City show, but my seat was better too!). I met so many great people, many Adam fans, and I told them to check out this great website! Adam did come out after the show, and as he stood in front of me and signed my picture of him, and I was gushing my thanks to him and telling him how awesome he is, he put his hand over mine (yes, he really did!), and looked at me with those eyes (those eyes!), and gave me the most beautiful big smile! In that one moment in time, Adam was mine! And as quickly as the moment came it was gone, as someone shoved something in front of me to be signed. But for just that one moment…..!!!
Thank you Susan for sharing your special moment!! You are definitely one of the lucky one’s to have claimed one of those “MOMENTS”. After watching this video for his Bowie Medley, he seemed to be really getting into the dance moves and all. It is so much fun to watch the different videos because when you are a stalker… er fan like me you really can see how he changes little things from one concert to another. It may be that he changes the song a little bit or adds some extra wicked dance moves, and either way he just makes me happy. For those unable to be there… enjoy.

The American Idols are rolling into Reading, Pennsylvania for a show at the Sovereign Center on September 8, 2009. Here’s a little something from Adam on his twitter… adamlambert: Happy Labor Day!!!! Take it easy everyone! :). I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday weekend as well. If any of you are heading to the show, I’d love to hear about it. Is anyone heading out early or staying after the show for the meet and greet? If so, please remember to email us your tour photos at tourphotos@glambs.org.
Here’s the World Idol link you’ve been asking for http://tweeterwall.mallplace.com/tw/worldwide/world-idol
Apparently Adam is leading, but our “not as likeable” idol Clay is catching up. Please keep on voting, since seeing Adam lose to Clay is not on MY Top Ten list. Good luck to Adam…. and let’s make it happen.
Here’s to another great show in another great city, American Idols… you rock.

Our hours of travel were long, but Terry (Mother Theresa), Cheryl (Naughty Girl Norman), and I soared to Grand Rapids, Michigan on Adam, adrenaline, and anticipation. We converged on Brann’s Restaurant on Sunday afternoon along with Glambs from all over North America. There was Judy (jaberone) from Michigan, Sandy (iluvadam4ever) from Ohio, my sister-in-law Merri from Michigan, Vera (gala) and Nadia (Veronica) from Canada, and Jennifer from Canada, among many family members and friends who accompanied them. Meeting these “old friends” in person was like a family reunion, with hugs, laughter, and lots of wonderful getting to know each other.

I took some time out of the party to hurry down to the Van Andel Arena with my “Personal Assistant” Cheryl (hey, everyone has to have “people”) to see Barnaby, who interviewed me on Friday on the “Barnaby & Friends” morning radio show on WLHT 95.7 in Grand Rapids. Barnaby told us that he’d just interviewed Adam, and that he’d told Adam about his interview with “Jeanette from Glambs.” Barnaby told Adam that I’d mentioned as a piece of “Adam Trivia” that he’d performed for a year on a cruise ship, and that just days before 9-11 Adam had had his photo taken on the ship with the Twin Towers in the background. Barnaby said that when Adam heard that, Adam slapped the table and said he was impressed and that I’d done my homework.

Well, needless to say, I about swooned. Adam had heard my name!!! Barnaby said he wasn’t able to give us back stage passes since he had no involvement in that, but I didn’t care. My day was made. We soared back to Brann’s to share the news that if Adam didn’t know about us Glambs before, hopefully he knew us now!

At the Arena we met up with the Famous Mary C. and her sister Sue for hugs and photos before finding our seats. I was in Section 109, close to the stage but off to the side. Not as good as the front row, so my photos aren’t as close-up this time, but there’s always a money shot in the bunch (check out the 6th Adam photo down!!!). The crowd was definitely a Matty G crowd, as I expected, but Adam’s fans showed enough love and support with their screams to let everyone know that Adam was the star *we* came for. The sound system was horrid, but Adam overcame and treated us again to “Woman” and “Back-Door Man.” I’m happy to say that my sister-in-law is now an official Adam convert!

We skipped out early again after Adam’s set, and at the barricades Mary C. called to me. I knew I would stand next to her, in whichever spot she chose, because no one is luckier than her in meeting Adam. Glambs lined up next to us, and as always, we agonized over whether we’d picked the best spot on the barricades and whether Adam would even come out at all. I was very optimistic, first because I felt Adam would do a brief or no-show backstage meet and greet to give Matt the spotlight (this is what Adam did in Milwaukee with Danny), second because of the upcoming off day (no need to “rest his voice”), and lastly, because I was with Mary C.

And our hopes were realized! Adam came out first, looking all calm and sparkly in his heavy eye-makeup under the near-full moon. People were going mad all around him, but Adam’s serene and composed demeanor never wavered. I almost got squeezed from the barricade as he approached, but Mary C. handed Adam a Glambs card, and I finally worked up the nerve to talk. I told Adam that I was the one who’d been interviewed by the radio station, and that my name was Jeanette. He looked right into my eyes and replied, “oh, yeah!” I softly squeezed his hand, he signed my Rolling Stones photo, and as he moved on, I took a few more photos before it hit what had just happened. I backed away from the barricade to give someone else my spot (I was done for the night - what more could I want?), so addled that I left my bag with my camera and photos hanging on the fence. Someone called “is this your bag?” and I was able to retrieve my treasures. All the Glambs were lucky, each getting an autograph (Judy got 3 doing the famous Mary D. trick of continually moving down the line in front of Adam!) and a touch and a chance to speak to Adam. I hope all the Glambs who were at the Grand Rapids concert will comment below with their own experiences and adventures.

My concerts are done - I can now join the many of you already in concert withdrawal. But when I return at the end of the tour, I hope to host a cyber (and an in-person) Tour Wrap-Up Party. Then there will be a CD Release Party, and next year an Adam Tour Kick-Off Party…well, you get the idea. Seriously, there really is no letdown with Adam, for there is always a party on the horizon.

Check out the most unbelievable Mad World video on the GR TOUR VIBE article here.

See you all in a couple weeks!

PS - Terry, Cheryl, Jane, Mary C. and ALL you guys - I had a blast and I love you all!!! Thanks for making it a special, special day that I will never forget!

I hope you all don’t mind a few more Adam pics!  :)

This Chicago concert review is from Alicia, who was gracious enough to send some awesome pics to tourphotos@glambs.org as well! A self-admitted lurker, Alicia may make her first forum appearance after this post. This is an excerpt of her experience:

“I was lucky enough to attend the show in Chicago from 6th row! I went with a friend, she was a Danny fan, me Adam.
I got to meet Matt, Danny, Michael and Scott at the afternoon barricades. After [the] show, Allison, Megan, Lil, Anoop, Danny(again) & Adam came out. I got autos from everyone. Kris was the only one I missed. :(”

“[At] the concert, I was surrounded by so many Adam & Kris fans. I noticed a lot of families with kids, couples, and just all around women. We all were chatting before the show about our favorites, so much fun!”

“The excitement buildup before Adam came out was intense, the screams and shrills were pretty crazy! It was awesome, [and]he was mesmerizing. I stayed for the whole show and still got a front spot at the barricades. I was able to meet him for the few seconds and he signed a pic I printed out from another fan. I told him his set was captivating and thanked him, he smiled and said “Thank you”. This very young girl (maybe 14) next to me started crying, it was pretty intense. He is beautiful and seemed to exude calmness amongst all the screaming and chaos.”

“Overall, the show was so much fun. Adam was a stand out for me, but I really tried to enjoy everyone’s sets, since they are all so different. This was a talented group and I am thankful to have seen them all perform before they head their separate ways.”

Thanks, Alicia! And now, what you have been really waiting to see…

Maybe it was the full moon, but there was magic last night in Madtown. Then again, maybe it was all Adam. What started out as a concert experience among four new friends quickly became both a Glambvention and a uniting of Adam fans from literally across the world. I arrived at 1:30 for the pre-concert signing, the only one there of our initial group of me, Mary D., Sandra and Jill. I was on my own, or so I thought, since Mary had car trouble, and Sandra and Jill weren’t due until later in the afternoon. I positioned myself at the barricade next to an obvious group of Adam fans, and as I gazed at the woman standing beside me, memories of photos that I myself had posted on this website popped into my head. Do you remember Kelly, the Glamb Leader who hung out with Drake and also had her arm signed by Adam? This woman looked so much like her! But Kelly had gone to concerts in Texas and Oklahoma. She surely wouldn’t be in Wisconsin, would she??? I kept watching and listening, and I overhead “Dallas” and “Tulsa” and I finally asked her if she was Kelly. It was her, along with her daughter and friends! Her friends looked perplexed when Kelly hugged the stanger next to her, but we quickly explained that we were sister Glambs.

Only Danny, Matt, Michael and Kris came out, and after two hours of broiling under the hot sun, I went across the street to my hotel to cool off and grab dinner. As I sat down in the restaurant, other Idol fans started coming in, and a family with a beautiful 4-year-old daughter tried to settle in at their table, but the little girl was obviously too excited to sit still. Her father commented that she was an Adam fan and that she’d been waiting four months for her first-ever concert, and I gave them the thumbs up. The little girl ran to my table, eager to show off her Adam nailpolish - black, of course, with an extra special design on her thumb nails. She had blond braids, and her entire head sparkled with glitter. There seems no end to the continuing proof that Adam’s appeal is universal.

Mary, Sandra and I met and hugged at the Alliant Energy Center with our new friend Jill, and the four of us cajoled some very nice ladies into taking photos of the “quadruplets.” Later, as we entered the building and walked through the floor area to our seats, I kept hearing my name called. Glambs from all over, posters and lurkers alike, had seen my photo on the Milwaukee article and recognized me (I was wearing the same jacket, which helped!) Many thanks to Trisha and Dave for flagging me down to chat, and also to Joanne, who just happened to have the seat right next to me in the front row. Then I heard my name again, turned around, and heard, “I’m Sue!” Another Glamb Leader was at the show! It was Sue from the Chicago area who will be taking over TOUR VIBES for me! We hugged and chatted and posed for more photos.

Then two beautiful girls who had flown all the way from Japan just to see Adam stole our attention away with their beautiful Adam silk shirts and Adam paddle signs. Their outfits were as stunning as our hero and did wonderful justice to Adam’s beauty. I asked their permission to post their photos.

The show itself was an experience that will live with me forever. Thanks to Sandra, I had a center section front row seat. The front row magnifies everything about the concert experience - you notice details in the outfits, their expressions, and the sweat running down the faces of the guys. And it feels like they’re singing to you, and you alone. I did take photos of all the Idols - I hated the distraction of the camera, but I was too wonderfully close not too, and I’m happy to say I got some fabulous shots.

And what can I say about Adam that we haven’t said before? Close up he is simply stunning, beautiful, and sexy beyond words. Last night he wore the most makeup of any of the shows I’ve been to, but it gave him that super-fierce look we love! Everything about him glitters, sparkles, and glows with a white hot energy that makes you truly believe he is a star from the heavens put on earth by God to teach us to lead calm and purposeful lives, but wrapped up in the sexiest and most beautiful package in the world, just to make sure we pay attention! (And here Adam thinks he’s just here to entertain us. Ha!) Of course he did entertain! He gave us “woman” again, and a Mad World that was so unbelievably emotional that I felt like I was inside the song and inside Adam. *That’s* how to connect to an audience.

We skipped Kris and the finale to race to the barricades, agonizing over which spot would be the best to ensure us an autograph and photos, but unfornately Adam tweeted that he wouldn’t be coming out in order to rest his voice. He held a Twitter party instead, which we followed on Sandra’s iphone. Wow, I think we wore Adam out! We screamed so hard for him, and he gave us his all in response.

Madtown did Adam proud, and he did us proud. Many thanks to Sandra and the other “quads,” and thanks to the many people who flagged me down to say hi - you guys all made the night that much more special for me. I hope you enjoy my photos! I had to include pix of the girls - they are all soooooo beautiful.

Grand Rapids, here I come!

****UPDATED WITH VIDEO****Here’s a really entertaining video from the show of Adam and Allison. He starts with a very heartfelt thank you to US, the fans. I’m not going to lie, I replayed that kiss once or twice, MWAH! I realized that the really playful side of Adam makes me want to jump up on that stage and take that whip and….oh sorry I guess i’d better keep that thought to myself HA-HA(insert evil laugh here). They really seem to be loving this whole experience don’t they? I know I would. Take a peek and enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-w-J0ZTcjPkI . First of all, let me say a HUGE hello to everyone. I am the “Sue” you ‘ve all been hearing about. I am taking the reins from Jeanette for this last chunk of the tour. I can tell you up front that although I will not be as amazing as Jeanette, I will do my best to try and fill her shoes. She has done a tremendous job. If there are things that I am forgetting to do feel free to let me know. .
Secondly, I followed those busses out of Madison and I can officially say they are on their way to Indianapolis, Indiana. They will be playing this concert at the Conseco Fieldhouse on September 5th. Anyone that happens to be going, please remember to share your pictures/photos with us by sending them to tourphotos@glambs.org. I know I always look forward to seeing that beautiful face.
Lastly, I am just getting home from another of the greatest nights of my life. I am completely exhausted but completely satisfied as well. Not only was I able to meet up with Jeanette, I was also able to share a second night of Adam’s amazingness with my daughter. We had such a great time… Thanks, most importantly, to Adam for giving us these wonderful gifts each and every night. . I am looking forward to talking with you guys… after I get a little bit of sleep! zzzzzz…….

Sue…XO…Glamb #10

After a day off in Chicago, Adam and friends return to Wisconsin for a concert at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison on Friday, September 4th.

First, just a couple of brief website updates…first, thanks to Lila for sending in some great photos from the Kansas City show. The third of her photos is actually a t-shirt – the coolest one I’ve ever seen (how can I get one?) Check them out here: http://adam-lambert.org/tour-vibe-%e2%80%93-american-idol-summer-tour-2009-%e2%80%93-kansas-city-mo/

I’ve also added a photo on my Milwaukee “Starlight” article of the “Calm & Delightful” Mary D., Sandra, and me. Here’s the link: http://adam-lambert.org/the-milwaukee-concert-%e2%80%93-my-own-%e2%80%9cstarlight%e2%80%9d/

This is the third of my shows, and I’m eagerly awaiting this show with as much anticipation as I did the Milwaukee and Chicago shows. As I commented briefly in my “Starlight” post, it will be very interesting to gauge the reaction of the crowd in Madison and compare it to Milwaukee’s crowd. Milwaukee was “Gokeyland,” as the Idols themselves described my city, and it was plainly evident. There were clearly louder and more frequent screams for Danny than anyone else, even Adam (oh, how it hurts to write that!)

But while Madison is only 80 miles away, the two cities are very different. Madison is a big university town (University of Wisconsin – Madison, home of the Big Ten Badgers), and it’s known as a liberal town (state capital in a blue state) and a party town (it isn’t called Madtown for nothing.) So the demographics are pretty different than those for Milwaukee, known most, of course, for beer and brats. So I’m going to really be curious to see if Danny still gets the big “hometown” screams, or if Adam, as in most concert cities and as he deserves, garners the longest, loudest, most enthusiastic vocalizations a crowd can put forth. Thankfully, regardless of what happens in Madison and Grand Rapids, Chicago was Adamland! Thank you, Chi-town!!! I grew up in Evanston, just two blocks north of Chicago, so last night was a bit of a homecoming for me, and I am so thankful to all the Chicago fans who made it a night for Adam.

I’m going again with the Calm and Delightful Mary D. and Sandra, and we will be joined by Jill, who was also at the Milwaukee concert. We all have great seats, and we all anticipate having the time of our young lives!

If you’re going to the Madison concert and want to share your thoughts, please comment below, and if you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

Other than possibly a quickie “My Excellent Adventure Part 3: Madison & Part 4: Grand Rapids” this is my last post for a while and my final TOUR VIBE. Sue will be taking the wheel from now until the end of the tour. It’s been quite a ride, and it’s been my pleasure to try to keep you informed and entertained. I’ll be back when the tour is over for lots more Adam news and fun. Until then, don’t skere Sue off!

Love~~Jeanette, Glamb #5

***UPDATED WITH PHOTOS*** OK, my photos are not the best. There were tons of people on the barricades, and it was hard to get photos. Profiles are pretty much all you can get until Adam is right in front of you, and then you’ve got your hands full trying to get an autograph…and stare into those eyes at the same time! Looks like Adam got a haircut after Milwaukee. The “tousled” spikes are gone. *Sniff sniff* Check out the beautiful eyes. Sorry that one is blurry!

Mary D. and I decided at the very last minute to drive down to the Chicago show. It was too close not to – just an hour and a half drive. So after work yesterday I changed clothes, drove to Mary’s house, and in spite of heavy construction and rush hour traffic, we made it to the ugly old Allstate Arena in time for the concert. Mary had purchased the tickets off ebay just a few hours beforehand – Sec. 202, first row, which weren’t as bad as we feared. We were high up, but could see the whole stage unobstructed, as well as the whole crowd. It was a much different perspective from our previous floor seats, and one we were happy to experience.

Danny and Matt got fantastic support from the crowd, but I’m happy to say this was Adamland, and the ear-piercing screams for our boy were definitely the loudest and most sustained of the night. He was fantastic – the same emo hair as in Milwaukee, but with a touch more eye makeup – a thin blue line of glitter that paralleled his normal eyeliner. He gave us the gift of “woman” again, and the sound system took pity on us and gave us a wonderful (but still not perfect) Starlight. Mary and I clutched each other like lost souls in a lifeboat who’d just been rescued – we were of one mind and one heart in our joy and rapture!

We left after Kris sangHeartless to run, literally run, through the arena to try to find the signing barricades. Security mis-directed us a few times, but we made it to the back side of the arena, and found a good spot right on the barricades about halfway down. No rain this time, just a beautiful clear night with a moon that was almost full. We waited next to a beautiful 13-year-old girl who was a total Adam fan. Finally, the Idols started coming out, with the girls first. I didn’t bother with photos, but got autographs – very brief initials, as this barricade line was about 3 times longer than the one in Milwaukee, and the Idols had to zip. The guys started coming out, but we wanted Adam. Where was he? Those around us started mumbling their doubts, and chants started for Adam. Mary and I tried to remain calm and positive. Finally, the last one to come out, he appeared! He looked stunningly beautiful with the touch of blue glitter accenting his eyes, and a crystal “LOVE” pendant around his neck. He finally got to me and Mary, signed for us, and then was called to the bus. If we literally had been another 3 feet down the line, we would have missed him. Our fabulous luck had continued!

No touches or shared words, though. But I was happy to get his autograph and have him stand in the moonlight in front of me for two seconds. I was having trouble with my camera, so I don’t think I got a decent photo, but it was all good.

We had wild thoughts of following the buses to Madison, but they got too much of a head start on us. Still, all in all, it was a pretty damn fine evening for something planned by the seat of our pants.

The adventure continues tomorrow in Madison with Mary D., Sandra and Jill!!!

***UPDATED WITH FANTASTIC VIDEOS!!!*** Due to the overwhelming response to our Meet and Eat at Braunn’s Restaurant, we are moving up the reservation to 3:00pm to ensure that everyone has plenty of time to socialize and grab a drink or meal before heading down to the concert.

Adam and the gang re-visit Michigan for a concert on Sunday, September 6th at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.

YEAH!!! This is the concert that so many Glambs have been looking forward to! I’m posting this ahead of time due to the planning involved…I’m not sure why the little city of Grand Rapids has turned out to be the Mecca of the Midwest for Adam fans, but it seems that’s what has happened. Terry (Theresa/Canada) and I will be arriving in town on Saturday, and on Sunday we will be joined by Cheryl Norman and my sister-in-law. The four of us will be staying at the Crowne Plaza. On Sunday afternoon at 4:00pm, we will be meeting to grab a bite to eat. Change of plans here, sorry. Arnie’s was not able to accomodate, us, so we are going to meet at Brann’s Restaurant instead. Their address is 5510 28th St., SE. We’re a definite go with them - the reservation is made. Sorry for the confusion, everyone!

We hope to be at the Arena close to the time they open the doors, and we’re all planning on hanging around after the concert for the late-night signing session. At this point in time, Terry and Cheryl won’t be doing the afternoon signing session. I’m not sure yet if I will or not. Those of you going to the concert who can’t make Arnie’s but would still like to say hi please email me. We can try to hook up at the Arena.

If you’ve been following the comments in the threads, you know this is going to be a wild and wooly concert! Mother Theresa, Chief Butt Kicker, Naughty Girl Norman, the Famous Mary C…Good Lord, does poor Adam stand a chance????

So please email me at jeanette@glambs.org if you want in on the Glambs meet, and please let me know in particular if you’re interested in Brann’s as we need to get a head count ASAP.

And lastly, don’t forget that if you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

The Idols travel to Minnesota for a concert on Tuesday, September 1st at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

First, one correction from yesterday. I mentioned Mars in the photo credits, but I forgot to actually publish her photos! I apologize - I often forget what I’m doing. I’ve published the pix now. If you check them out on the Glambs Photos & Videos page at http://adam-lambert.org/tour-vibe-glambs-photos-and-videos/ and scroll down to August 25th where I’ve put Mars’ photos, the fifth one shows Adam bending forward. Mars explains what happened:

“THE ONE PIC WHERE HE IS BENDING OVER, HE IS TALKING TO A HANDICAPPED GIRL THAT WAS ON A STRETCHER. HE TOLD EVERYONE NICELY TO MOVE OVER AND GIVE HIM SOME ROOM TO TALK WITH HER SO SHE COULD SEE HIM, IT MADE ME CRY. THE MOTHER WAS IN ASTONISHMENT, THAT ADAM TOOK THE TIME TO SPEAK TO HER! THAT IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT HIM, HE CARES ABOUT EVERY SINGLE FAN!”

Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Mars!

We apologize for posting the recent TOUR VIBES out of date order. We have a lot of personal scheduling issues going on, and we’re doing the best we can to work things out. I’ll be leaving you soon, so after this week Sue will be taking over the TOUR VIBE duties for the duration of the Idol Tour. She’s new at this and still learning the ins and outs, so please be nice to her. Don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere, and I’m not quitting. I love Adam and Glambs too much for that, but it’s been an intense six months, and I need some “me time” to take care of things in my life I’ve been neglecting. I’ll be back before you miss me!

And one sentence about the haters, because they don’t deserve any more attention than that…please don’t waste time or energy commenting or distressing about them, because doing so plays right into their hands. These threads are about love, and love needs no defense.

If you’re going to the Minneapolis show, please share your experiences with us. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

A MAD WORLD: Choosing between Cruise Ships or Lambert’s Lips – A Glamb Fan’s Salty Saga

Nooo, — not just one, – but crazily, I bought TWO tickets to the same American Idol show coming up. It appears that Row M was only good enough until a seat opened up the next day a mere FOUR ROWS FROM THE STAGE where Adam would be singing on September 9th in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The seat is so close that I should be able to see sweat glistening on his velvet eyeliner from there! I am PUMPED!

So, can you tell? I’m not just a fan, I’m also a “Glamb,” Glamb #9, to be sure, and seeing Adam perform in person is an incredible priveledge which I have been anxiously looking forward to for months!

Then, in an incredible twist of fate… I was offered an expense-paid cruise that directly overlaps the Sept 9th concert date. Hmmm. Did I mentioned the cruise was expense-paid? Did I mention my seat to see Adam Lambert is only FOUR teeny rows from the stage?? CAN YOU BEGIN TO FEEL MY DILEMMA???

I’M IN SHREDS over this! It’s not like I get to do either of these things very often – or ever. Suddenly I have two world-class things to do, but…. at the very same time… and I have to choose between them! If they were even just a few days more apart, I could do both. But they’re not. And all the rest of the year I’ll be sitting like a lump doing nothing, going nowhere. It IS a MAD WORLD!

It would be insane to turn down the cruise; but forfeiting this opportunity to see Adam makes me antsy because my last dream of seeing my long-time music hero, Paul Simon, in concert, took nearly 40 years. 40 YEARRRRS! I was 11, for goodness sake, when I first made that wish! I simply cannot wait another lifetime to see Adam! With that track record, it makes the choosing even tougher!

So ADAM,…IF YOU’RE LISTENING..…..

  • Ohhhh….I am so going to miss your moves and grooves and liner and glitter and sweat……ahem…oh, and your incredible voice!
  • You have some of the warmest, most giving and selfless fans behind you – some of which are my fellow Glambadministrators of this site who are taking up my share so that I can set out to sail the salty sea – as well as the AWESOME FANS dedicated to you and this site!
  • Thank you, Adam, for already making big dreams come true for your fans by reaching so many on your extensive tour! How fortunate are the fans who get to see you! They will be empowered with that memory the rest of their lives.

As for me, sailing ships means losing Lambert’s lips, and I’ll have to flip the big Father Timer over again and hope that it’s not another 40 years before hearing my fav performer in person!

    And ADAM FANS…IF YOU’RE LISTENING….

How about throwing me and others who will miss the show a life saver and email your stories, pics, and references to videos of the Sept 9th concert to tourphotos@glambs.org  so we can see what we’re missing, …p-l-e-a-s-e!

Many of you, of course, remember Mary C. and her sister Sue’s amazing moments with Adam the morning after the Idol finale in front of the Nokia theater. Mary’s story and photos from that day are posted on this page: http://adam-lambert.org/exclusive-photos-the-finale-was-just-the-beginning/

Mary and Sue’s journey continued last week in Columbus, OH. Mary commented about it on the Columbus TOU VIBE post, but it’s so fantastic I felt it deserved its own post to make sure everyone sees it. So here is their story in Mary’s words, and check out the terrific photos. Please take note of their one-of-a-kind t-shirts!

Ok Everyone, ADAM ROCKED COLUMBUS! I’m just gonna start by saying, we lucked out again. Front row seats, that were purchased yesterday thru Ticketmaster, couldn’t believe it. Two girls that got are original tickets were so excited, since they were better seats than their originals.
OK, to the show.

I’ll skip the 1st 8 idols, Adam had the Emo hair ( so hot), when the screens started the music and flashing his letters, A D A M the place went nuts!! Out he comes, looking oh so gorgeous, hair, eyes, white teeth, his whole body, you just can’t get enough of him. I’m still shaking and excited! WLL, he got the microphone between his sexy legs, played with it, and said WOOOOMMMMAAANNNNN! Oh yea, Adam you know how to please! Starlight, spectacular, Mad World, out of this world, Slow Ride, was rockin’, he and Allison do fantastic together, you can tell they play and have loads of fun. Girl next to me threw up a whip type (teaser) object on the stage, he picked it up, swung it around and threw out to the audience. Few bras went flying up there, (not mine) he played with a couple of them. He seems to really enjoy using those props!!!

Then, the “Bowie Medley” OK, his facial expression so FIERCE AND WILD AS HE TAKES OFF THE LEATHER JACKET AND STRUTS UP CLOSER TO THE FRONT PART OF THE STAGE. He just kicks ass, with those numbers! The sway part is still my favorite, I wish he would just do the sway dance steps in a separate video (u know how earlier in the season the vid of him doing the KRUMP dance?? Then after Let’s Dance, the stage is lowered and he is smiling and thanking the crowd. Adam comes back out, as do the others to sing a bit of Hey Jude. Awesome. The finale song, Don’t Stop Believin rocks the house too. When Adam and Kris are lifted up from the lower part of stage, AGAIN THE CROWD GOES WILD! You just don’t want the show to end. I did take some pics, in between dancing, so I’ll send those as soon as someone helps me!!

OKAY, NOW THE MEET AND GREETS! Got lucky again, I have good close up pics of Adam signing after the show! I just can’t say enough how this guy is blatantly polite, nice, sweet, and like I said before EVERYTHING GOOD! After the show, my sister and I went out where they would be coming out and waited. We actually got a good spot, Adam and Megan came out FIRST, YES I MEAN FIRST. What a thrill. Adam is one of the first ones out to sign. He walked by and started at the other end of the line, this was about ten minutes till eleven. When he was in front of us, I handed him the pic, of the two of us and he looked at it and OH YES, AUTOGRAPHED IT! Also signed my sister’s! I told him : Adam I want to thank you for what you do to make so many people feel GOOD AND SEXY ( I forgot to say the word HORNY) And again, he’s so frickin mannerly, he says to me ” THANK YOU FOR TELLING ME THAT” Here I am thanking him and he’s thanking me. Just can’t say enough, the man is SPECIAL! Sue, my sister, mentioned our pics were takin w/him out in LA and he looked and said ” Oh Yea” He took his time, alot of time signing things as he walked to the other end of the barricades and down the steps to go off to the next adventure.

Now, the early meet and greet, from talking to people we met, was done inside and they were at tables and I guess that was done quickly. A lady told us, Adam and Danny were very nice and the others weren’t as nice as they were. I just want to win the lottery and go to all the rest of the concerts. I know all of you feel the same way. Lee M it was nice meeting you last night, I’m so glad I knew where your seats were so we could come and meet. After all the excitement, today feels like a letdown. You just want the magic to continue. This site makes it all better to share our love for Adam. He did look at us from the stage with those ever so sexy eyes of his, I know he noticed the shirts! My husband wanted to know why I didn’t ask him to sign my shirt. You get so caught up in the moment and with everything else going on, I was thankful to say a few words and get the pic signed, then the afterthought was: Yea, I could have dug him signed my shirt, as the pen stroked across my Boobs! Love you all!

Adam and company are in Missouri for a concert on Sunday, August 30th at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. After this stop the Idols head north again for several more Midwest shows before heading back to the east coast to close out the tour.

We’ve been getting lots of photos sent in to us. Here are some of them if you’d like to check them out:

Under http://adam-lambert.org/tour-vibe-glambs-photos-and-videos you can see new photos courtesy of the following people:

1. Jill, who sent photos from Milwaukee – Aug. 28th
2. Mars, who sent photos from Columbus – Aug. 25th
3. Eva, who sent photos from Baltimore – Aug. 5th
4. TheFeyNan, who sent photos from Memphis - July 26

Eva also sent in a great close-up shot of Adam from the GMA concert which you can see here http://adam-lambert.org/good-morning-america-august-7-2009/

Thanks to everyone who has sent in these great photos! I have more photos yet to add, so if I haven’t mentioned yours yet, stand by. I’m going to keep this post brief so I have time to work on all the pending photos.

May all of you going to the KC show or any of the upcoming final shows have a great time! The best advice I can give anyone based on my experience in Milwaukee is to forget, if you can, all the previous reviews, photos, videos, and go in with no pre-conceived expectations. Take whatever you get as a gift, and don’t try to compare what you get with what others get. If you go in with expectations, you’re bound to be disappointed in something, and believe me, this is too special of an event to let dissatisfaction or frustration ruin it for you.

If you’re going to the Kansas City show, please share your experiences with us. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

Here is my first autograph:

autograph1

Here is my second autograph. You can tell it’s briefer and more hurried. This was obtained at the very end of the barricades, after he’d already signed dozens of photos. The initials top left is the real thing. The silver “signature” on the bottom is what comes preprinted on the photo.

autograph2

Friday dawned like an October morning, gray and chill, and I fought to not let the sky dampen my enthusiasm. I talked to Mary D., the Glamb I was going to meet up with for the afternoon signing session. We agreed on 1:00. I ran a morning errand to the sound of raindrops on my windshield. Things were not looking good. However, when I got home, I glammed myself up and prepared a Plan B - I threw a fleece jacket and umbrella in the car in case the sky fulfilled its promise to rain all day.

I got downtown around 1:00, parked right across the street from the Bradley Center, and saw a smaller-than-expected crowd at the barricades. I easily found a spot right on the barricades and camped out, watching the leaden sky. As I waited for Mary, blue patches started to appear, and the sun came out! Was my “magic” indeed happening? Mary arrived, and we hugged like old friends. Our adventure was beginning! At 2:30 the Idols started coming out, one at a time. Between 2:30 and 3:30 all came out except Adam, Kris and Lil. Some stopped for photos, others zipped thru doing signings only. I didn’t expect Adam to come out, so I wasn’t disappointed in that.

Megan is tiny and exquisitely beautiful, but she wore the weird afro hair thing. She was sweet and stopped to do photos. Michael was nice and did photos, too. I got my pic with him (the only one of me and an Idol). Danny only came out for a few minutes, so I didn’t get his autograph, but he stopped right in front of us, so I got pix. He said he had to go do press. Scott came out with his mother, but didn’t do photos. I got autographs from Megan, Allison, Matt, Scott, Michael and Anoop.

After the Idols disappeared, I spent some time trying to hook up with other Glambs who had contacted me ahead of time. It was so great to meet those I did meet, and I apologize to those people I missed.

My seat was good…I had no trouble seeing. Sat next to an old guy with white hair who was a total Idol fantard. Met a lady a few rows up named Sandra who had flown in from Minneapolis. Finally the moment came for the show to start! Very heavily partisan crowd, which I expected. Michael got cheers starting things off and said that the show was being dedicated to Danny. He and everyone kept referring to Milwaukee as Gokeyland, which bugged me a little after about the third time. None of the three girls really seemed to connect with the crowd. Anoop had a lot of fans there. The old guy next to me barked like a dog for Anoop. My focus on each of the first eight wavered, and I found myself counting the songs in each set, happy when each set ended to bring me that much closer to Adam. Matt got insane screams, and my ears almost started bleeding from the shrieks from the ladies behind me.

When Danny came on, I was happy because I knew Adam was next. Danny had his moment in the sun to the delight of the crowd, and when Danny’s set ended, the screaming just went on and on. There was no break between the final accolades for Danny and the anticipatory shrieks for Adam, just a sustained blast of ear-splitting noise. I rode that communal scream, adding all the volume my lungs were capable of, until the thunder and lightning and smoke on stage gave birth to Adam in all his glittery glory. Whole Lotta Love was primal perfection, capped by a “woman” that was like the best sex - long and sweet and up and down. The rape and pillage of the mic stand, however, was toned down. In deference to Gokeyland?

Starlight broke the spell a bit, as Alvin the Chipmunk took the sound system hostage. I don’t know why they can’t fix this problem. The only thing I can think of is that the sound system isn’t made for the kind of notes Adam hits. Mad World was as hauntingly beautiful as Adam himself, and Slow Ride was fun but made me realize Adam’s set was almost over. Nothing was thrown on stage that I could see. One doesn’t throw sex toys in Gokeyland. The Bowie medley made me wonder why I’d bothered to memorize lyrics, because all I did was watch Adam’s beautiful, toned body eat the stage. Like great sex, it was all over too fast.

Mary and Sandra and I had talked about skipping the finale to stake our claim at the barricades, but I didn’t want to pass up one last chance to see Adam. In the group number he towered above all the others, and while he gave props to Kris as the Idol winner and Danny as the hometown favorite, he owned that stage with his sheer strength of presence. All the others were just mere squatters, and while Milwaukee may be Gokeyland, that stage was Adamland.

After the finale Mary and Sandra and I rushed outside to the barricades. It was raining pretty hard! Luckily Sandra had an umbrella (I had put mine back in my car after the afternoon signing, sure that the rain was done), and the three of us huddled together feeling pretty miserable. A check of radar on Sandra’s iphone showed a huge mass of green and yellow headed east toward Milwaukee. I knew no one would come out in the rain, but we in our fellowship strengthened each other, and we waited with patience and determination.

But the magic of the night continued, and just at the exact right moment, the rain stopped, and the guys started coming out to sign, much earlier than the midnight time frame I had anticipated. I didn’t pay any attention to the ones I had already gotten pix and autographs from earlier…I didn’t even care about Kris or Lil, who came out. I only wanted Adam! He appeared to the accompaniment of screams from the crowd, though not to the kind of OMG orgasmic screams of other cities. Gokeyland, remember. Adam started on the far side and worked his way slowly around. I strained to get closer to the barricade, so afraid I wouldn’t get his autograph. Would my camera battery die? Would I? I was a mass of nerves on wobbly legs, sustained only by my new friends Mary and Sandra. It seemed to take forever for Adam to come to our side, but then he was in front of us. The Moment.

That moment was like the time, years ago, I had been a close-up witness to an armed grocery-store robbery. You see what’s happening, but you can’t believe it. Your mind voices silent “OMG, OMG, OMG” but no words come forth. You stare, but the shock robs you of your ability to see. The moment freezes in time, then is over before you know it. I had nothing coherent to say to Adam – my apologies to him and to you. Gutsy Mary asked if she could feel his pulse, and as she did, I touched the back of his hand and rubbed his skin. It was so warm and soft! I got my first autograph, and I got a few pix but most looked like they didn’t turn out. It didn’t matter – my expectations had already been met and exceeded. My legs started shaking, and my mind went as mushy as my legs. I stood there in a daze, but the calm and delightful and always-thinking Mary said “let’s go down to the far end of the barricades so we can see him again!” Somehow my legs gained the strength to scamper to the end of the line where we waited again for Adam. I got a second autograph as he came by. He did the entire barricades, took his time, and smiled that angelic smile of his the whole time.

Somewhere in the back of my mind I heard HUGE screams for Danny as he came out last, but I didn’t care. I already had what I wanted, and more. After Danny made the rounds, the crowd dispersed, but Mary and Sandra and I stayed, basking in the wonderment of the evening, not wanting it to end. Sandra and I already have tickets for Madison, and Mary hopes to go. Our excellent adventure together has only begun. Though the three of us were strangers earlier in the day, by the time the midnight struck, it felt as if we’d been friends for years.

The day, as I’d dreamed, had been full of not only hopes and expectations, but magic and surprises, and I thank the same God who created Adam for a day I will never forget.

Many pics to follow! ***ADDED*** Just saw this tweet from Adam: “Thank you Milwaukee. Fans were so sweet tonight. Thank you for the support! :)”

No, Adam, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

***ADDED*** And Michael tweeted this: “I got so many nice gifts last night in Milwaukee. The most gifts in a single city of the whole tour.”

So this may be Gokeyland, but we’re still pretty nice here to all the Idols. Thanks, Milwaukee!

***UPDATED WITH VIDEO*** Adam and the Idols hit St. Louis, Missouri for a concert at the Scottrade Center on Saturday, August 29th. I apologize for the brevity of this post – it’s been a long couple of days, and I’m running on fumes. I have yet to write up my own concert review of Milwaukee’s show.

Hello to you all! I am so excited to be writing this article because that can only mean ONE thing… Adam is coming to my town! I’m not sure how many of you were able to read the bio’s, but I am Glamb #10. I live in a suburb of Chicago and cannot wait until Wednesday finally gets here. It seems forever ago when they announced the tour dates and we ordered our tickets. Is it just me or does it feel like the last week or so has everyone kind of moving in slow motion? I’m not sure if it is from all the back-to-school hubbub, or maybe it’s the rainy weather coupled with the shorter days we are already experiencing? I know I can finally start to let myself get hyped-up for the show. It has been sooo much fun reading about everyone’s perspectives from the different shows. I am going in with the feeling that I will be wanting for more once the show is done. I plan to take it all in and have the time of my life. I am so thankful we are at the end of the tour so that as soon as it’s done I can also start looking forward to the release of his new single. I, for one, cannot wait! I will though because first he is coming to town, and hopefully I will have some great stories to tell! You guys will be the first to hear…

Adam and Company are chillin’ (literally) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a concert at the Bradley Center on Friday, August 28th. (I’ve been waiting so long to write that!) After Milwaukee, the Idols head south and west before hitting Wisconsin and Michigan one more time before heading back to the East Coast.

On Thursday, as I write this, it’s overcast, gray enough to need the car headlights on, and raining as steadily as if the city is just waiting..waiting for Adam to cast his light and love over the city. I’m hoping for a beautiful day tomorrow, but seriously – it’s supposed to be cold and thunder storms. At least my disappointment in not getting a backstage pass is gone (I know, I know – entitlement is not sexy), and I’m nothing but excited today.

I’ve made my practical list of things to bring and also my heart’s list of “hopes and expectations.” But do I really want events to unfold exactly as I’ve dreamed them? No. I’m a storyteller, and I know that the best stories are not those that simply fulfill readers’ expectations, but that take readers on a ride that lifts them above and beyond expectation to soar to a place filled with magic and surprises. Some of you have commented that I should leave my wish list at home and simply enjoy Adam as he is, and you are exactly right. To do otherwise would doom me to certain disappointment that “Adam didn’t do this” or “Adam didn’t do that.” And I don’t want to feel that. Adam is a gift, period, so I’m not going to think about my expectations, but about all the wonderful surprises that await me.

This event is also about fellowship, as this website is, and as the whole Adam experience is. We are his fans, and we’ve bonded with other fans of diverse ages and backgrounds who have all been united by this one extraordinary man. I wouldn’t be as excited as I am if I were going alone. Luckily, I’m hoping to meet up with several other Glambs and their families in the afternoon. A group experience that is not merely shared, but shared by people who understand each other, is special indeed. Adam touches each of us individually, but it’s the knowledge that what we feel is also felt in the same way by so many others that makes it such a wonderful experience. Why else do we hang out on this website? We could all just view photos of Adam and watch and listen to videos on our own. But we come together here to share, chat, inform, and support each other. We assure each other that we’re not crazy, and that feeling is as important as our love for Adam.

Because of the bad weather, I’m playing the pre-concert signing by ear. If you want my cell phone number to try to meet up on Friday, email me at Jeanette@glambs.org. Several people have already expressed interest in getting together, so hopefully we can make it happen in spite of the weather.

I don’t know if I’ll have photos to share, but I’ll definitely have a detailed post-concert report for you over the weekend. If you’re going to the Milwaukee concert and also want to share your experience, please comment below. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

The gang travels to Michigan for the first of two stops in that state. They play at the Palace at Auburn Hills on Wednesday, August 26th.

New website updates: I added some fantastic new photos from the San Diego concert courtesy of Glambertgirl1 (sorry it took me so long!) You can view them here. (Scroll down to July 18th – San Diego.) I also added some great videos to the Cleveland TOUR VIBE, which you can see here, and a smokin’ Whole Lotta Love video from Columbus (woman, back door man, and emo hair – I want that combination on Friday!) Also added to the Cleveland page is a post-concert m&g session with lots of screaming and crying. Geez, is it any wonder Adam doesn’t want to face that on a nightly basis? Am I going to be that bad? I hope not, but maybe!

Some personal bad news today…found out this morning that I can’t get a backstage pass to the Milwaukee show. Apparently the Gokey family got sooooooo many requests that their allotment of passes went very, very quickly. I knew it was a long shot – was told it was a long shot – but still I’d held out hope that Providence would smile on me. I felt like crying for about 2 hours, but fought the tears back since I didn’t want my Me by Mezhgan eyeliner to smudge all over my face. In the afternoon I just felt like I was in a daze, and my stomach hurt the rest of the day. Why does Adam do this to me? Please tell me this totally irrational emotional roller coaster isn’t just me!

Adam and the gang will return to Michigan on September 6th, when they visit Grand Rapids. I won’t be able to give you a TOUR VIBE for that concert since I’ll be on the road with no computer access, but hopefully later in the month I’ll be able to tell you about my experiences.

If you’re going to the Auburn Hills show, please share your experiences with us. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

If you’re a frequent visitor on this web site, you’ve heard about the DonorsChoose.org charity project endorsed by Adam. But are you wondering is it really coming from Adam or are the Head Honchos forcing it?

I feel very confident in saying this comes from Adam. Relationships between the Idol artists and 19 Entertainment have changed from what we suspected as one-sided during the early seasons of American Idol. Everyone at 19E wants the best for Adam and all of their artists. When the artist has clear direction and vision for their career, it makes sense that 19E work with them and guide the artist to make that vision come into focus.
Adam Lambert Pictures, Images and Photos

While Adam appreciates all the love and support from his fans, and is so touched that people are spending their money on gifts for him, he has realized he has no room on the tour buses for all those gifts! I spoke two weeks ago with 19E and learned that Adam has a ton of mail and gifts waiting for him back at the 19E offices in Los Angeles. All of the mail and packages being sent to all 10 of the Idols during the Tour is gathering in storerooms and will be delivered to them upon completion of the Tour. The official I spoke with jokingly told me that basically all of the other nine’s things fit into some large boxes and Adam practically needs a room to himself for all of his fan mail! Now imagine everything that’s being given to him on the road. How big do you think the storage under the buses is? Not big enough for Adam’s fans, I imagine!

Adam is really excited about the DonorsChoose.org project where he’s asking his fans to take the money they would spend on gifts for him, and instead pick a project from the hundreds listed, and make some teachers’ and childrens’ dreams come true.

Watch the following video from Adam, forgive the choppiness of the comments inserted (it wasn’t by us!) and think about helping others. Enjoy getting lost in those theatrical eyes and bathe yourself in the smooth tones of his cool voice. After you’ve done all that, click here and help out some needy kids. Who knows where the next Adam Lambert will come from?!?

***UPDATED WITH GREAT POST-CONCERTS PHOTOS COURTESY OF CHEYENNE*** The Idols stay in Ohio for a concert on Tuesday, August 25nd at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus.

Today’s website updates: I added a new photo from the Robert Sebree shoot here (it’s the top photo). Thanks to adamtastic1877 for finding this photo and sending it in to us!

Sandy sent in some great photos from the Cleveland concert on August 23rd. You can view them here. This is what Sandy had to say about the experience: “He totally rocked and was phenomenal as always. He even signed my Adam Lambert purse. He was so kind and so very hot!!! It made my day when I finally got to exchange meet him and exchange some words with him. I will totally cherish it forever! The night was definitely too short!!” Thanks, Sandy!

Pamela also sent in a photo of Adam with the boa at the Hartford show. (It’s on the same page as Sandy’s photos above.) She’s especially partial to this photo since she’s the one who threw it! Pamela promises a review and more photos, but Adam’s hotness melted her computer and she has to get it up and running again before sending more to us (seriously – it crashed and burned!) Thanks, Pamela!

And lastly, the infamous Cleveland interview you’ve all been talking about:

Adam is great, as always, but the reporter is sooooo lame. So many of these reporters obviously know very little about Adam, and as some of you noted in comments, keep re-asking the same old questions that were asked and answered long ago. The only new thing for me was Adam’s debunking of the laryngitus rumor. I never really believed he had laryngitus, but it kept popping up all over the web. Now we know the truth!

If you’re going to the Columbus show, please share your experiences with us. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org

As a side note to emailing us, please rest assured that we’re getting your photos and links, however, due to an increased volume of emails we may not be able to respond to everyone. Also, with regards to photos/videos sent in, please know that we try to post as many as possible, but it’s impossible to post everything sent to us. Sometimes we need to exercise discretion in what gets posted. We love you guys, and we want you to keep emailing your photos and videos, but there aren’t enough hours in the day for Dana and I to handle every request.

Personal side note: Any Glambs wanting to get together at either the Milwaukee or Madison shows please email me at jeanette@glambs.org

***UPDATE*** Here’s another great video in case you haven’t yet seen this one. Somebody mentioned how Adam licks his lips. Well, YES HE DOES!!!

~~Jeanette, Glamb #5

***UPDATED WITH CONCERT VIDEOS*** The gang moves on to Ohio for a concert on Sunday, August 23nd at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. Yeah, another state closer!

One quick note regarding concert videos on youtube…some of you have asked for certain videos to be posted. Here is my policy on posting videos – I won’t post videos belonging to other fan clubs. There is a certain other Adam fan club out there that takes beautiful videos. They are wonderful to look at, no doubt about it. However, said club “stamps” their club mark on the videos, so that anyone viewing it can see that it belongs to them. This is one way their club promotes itself. Anyone wanting to view the videos on youtube or elsewhere, of course, is welcome to do so, but it would be wrong for me to post them on our site. I do searches on a regular basis to try to find the best quality videos to post for you, but only if they are *not* stamped with copyright or other club markings. Sometimes I can’t find always find high-quality videos for a particular show. When I can’t, I don’t add. I won’t post a bad video just for the sake of putting something up. I hope you guys all understand my position.

On to more enjoyable subjects! Thanks for all the concert advice you all are giving on the Pittsburgh thread. Since you guys started in that vein, I’d like to solicit more advice on this thread from those of you who have already attended your shows. This isn’t just for me, but for all fans who have yet to go to their concerts.

What can you tell us that would help us “newbies” out? Some things, of course, like the sound system and seating are out of our control, but what can you advise us on those things that are in our control? Did you arrive at the right time? Did you bring the right stuff with you? Are the other 9 still doing a pre-concert signing session? What is the best time to arrive if there is a pre-concert session? I know that camera restrictions may vary by venue, but did those of you who did take cameras run into problems with security? I am hoping to do 2 out of 3 of my concerts without bothering with a camera, because I think the advice to just soak in Adam without distractions is a great one, but on the other hand, I also want something for posterity and also to share with you guys.

If you’re going to the Cleveland show, please share your experiences with us. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

The Idols stay in Pennsylvania for a concert on Saturday, August 22nd at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh.

First, lots of updates to older articles…I added two new photos to “Warning: Exposure to These Photos Can Be Dangerous to Your Health,” added Emili’s adorable drawing of Adam and another photo you have to see to believe to “We Want Adam and Adam Wants Us,” added videos to the Albany and Philadelphia TOUR VIBES and adamtastic1877’s Philadelphia photos.

One week to go until my concert! Yesterday I was thinking about what single thing I specifically was hoping Providence had in store for me, other than just seeing and hearing Adam in person. I found I couldn’t narrow it down to just one wish, so I indulged myself and made a list. I also realized it was highly unlikely for all my wishes to be granted at just the Milwaukee concert, so between Milwaukee, Madison, and Grand Rapids, here is my wish list, in vague order of desire:

1) One “woman” (Even tho I know “baby” is his preference, I like to think he’s singing this to me!)
2) One emo hair (I don’t mind the Elvis hair, but this is the original “look” I fell in love with)
3) One night when he really wails (a 10-second “woman” would take care of #1 and #3!)
4) One good sound system (no squirrels on helium)
5) One good view from my seat
6) One venue I can take photos/videos

I figure it will take all 3 concerts to give me what I want, which is one reason I bought 3 tickets. I didn’t list an autograph or meet even though I desperately want them. At this point in the tour, after all that’s happened, I think it’s an unrealistic goal. If it happens, that would be heaven, but I don’t want to be disappointed and have the entire experience negated in my mind simply because I had false expectations. I should find out on Monday from Danny’s cousin-in-law if I can get a backstage pass for Milwaukee, but he says it’s a looooooooong shot. I’ll let you know.

Personal side note: If any of you are going to any of my concerts and want to try to meet to say hi! or hang out before the show, please email me at jeanette@glambs.org

For all of you who have gone to go to a concert, what was on your “wish list,” and was it granted? If your concert is ahead of you, what’s on YOUR list?

If you’re going to the Pittsburgh show, please share your experiences with us. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org. This email should be working fine now, so please don’t hesitate to use it.

The Idols leave the East Coast to travel to Pennsylvania for a show on Thursday, August 20th at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. This, for me, is the start of the tour! This concert marks a turning point for me and all the other Midwesterners out there, for the tour is finally headed to the Heartland. We’ve waited weeks now (seems like months!) for our turn as the gang did numerous shows in California and New York. Someone commented recently that they wished we could skip the month of September in order to be that much closer to the debut of Adam’s album, but lots of us would argue against that! The tour is only a little more than half over, and with respect to our friends on both coasts and in the South, there are lots of shows remaining and a lot of us eagerly anticipating *our* chance to see Adam in person.

As I write this, my Milwaukee concert is only 9 days away - 9 days that are going to be sloooooow, agggggggonizing torment, like waiting for the date of a lifetime with the one guy you never thought would ask you out. That date will start when I walk into the Bradley Center. The first 8 Idols will be teasing foreplay, and then when the fog rolls, the lights explode, and the screen counts down A – D – A – M…well, the angel will be singing, in more ways than one.

If any of you Midwesterners out there can relate to my feeling that the tour truly begins in earnest in Philadelphia, please comment, and if you’re going to the Philadelphia show, please share your experiences with us. Also, don’t forget to share your photos. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

Side note: Can some of you please assign yourselves the job of checking on a regular basis for the availability of 2010 Adam calendars? We all want to know the very minute they’re available for purchase!!!

Second side note: I heard a rumor that the Adam Elle issue will be December. I haven’t been able to confirm this, so if one of you wants to go on “Elle” watch for us, that would be super!

~~Jeanette, Glamb #5

The gang is back in New York again for a concert on Wednesday, August 19th at the Times Union Center in Albany.

There isn’t much news today other than the fabulous pics from Adam’s Robert Sebree’s photo shoot, which I’ve posted separately. Here’s one more pic, 180 degrees from the photo shoot pics, but fun nonetheless. Who would have ever thought a year ago that a guy with that many freckles would be the sexiest man on earth? It’s courtesy of TMZ and was taken this past Monday in New York City.

And here’s an interview from Nassau from a week ago. Nothing really new here, same old questions (I so wish these reporters would be more creative - there are so many things we still DON’T know that we want to!) like “is it surreal to you?” and “what’s the album going to be like?” but Adam is so cute and he has such a great way of answering as if it WAS the first time he’d heard those inane questions…

If you’re going to the Albany show, please share your experiences with us. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

The gang hits Boston for a show on Tuesday, August 18th at the TD Banknorth Garden. While most of the Idols were in Boston Monday for a day off, there was, of course, no day off for Adam (has he had a single day off since Hollywood week started? I doubt it.) Adam is back again in New York City. He sent this tweet:

“Onto to stuff that matters: in NYC to record song with MAX MARTIN!!! Soo excited. This album is getting so great!!”

So we can now add Max Martin to the growing list of collaborators for Adam’s album. For those who aren’t familiar with Max, he’s written and co-written four #1 hits since 2008 including “So What” by Pink, “Hot N Cold” and “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry, and “My Life Would Suck Without You” by Kelly Clarkson. Adam is certainly amassing some pretty incredible credits for his album! How many number one hits will this album spawn?

This photo is from a week ago, not today’s trip to New York City, but it’s a pretty incredible shot.

The tour hits Connecticut for a show on Sunday, August 16th at the XL Center in Hartford.

First I’d like to let everyone know about the fantastic fan photos and videos we just received from the Aug. 12th Long Island show. They’re posted on both the Long Island TOUR VIBE post at http://adam-lambert.org/tour-vibe-%e2%80%93-american-idol-summer-tour-2009-%e2%80%93-long-island-ny/ and the TOUR VIBE Photos and Videos post at http://adam-lambert.org/tour-vibe-glambs-photos-and-videos/ Thanks to Glamstrukk for sending these in!

Today’s Adam news confirms something we already knew – that Adam will have a song on the soundtrack of the upcoming film 2012. On his blog, Brian May, Queen guitarist, talks about hearing the song and says, “I have to say I was completely blown away … it’s truly sensational. In fact it’s so obviously a number one smash, any bookie would be mad to take bets on it. I am not kidding. I’m not easily moved to jelly by male vocalists … but Adam’s voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity, and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world. Its an awesome performance. No doubt about it. The world of Rock has a bright new star.”

2012 is a science fiction disaster film due out in November, 2009 by director Roland Emmerich and starring John Cusack, Amanda Peet, and Danny Glover. The plot is a familiar sounding one (Emmerich did The Day After Tomorrow after all) involving a global catastrophe, the end of the world, and those who struggle to survive. The title of the movie is a reference to the ancient Mayan prediction that a doomsday event will occur in 2012. I’m really looking forward to Adam’s song…the movie, not so much. How many times do we need or want to see New York City destroyed?

Something else we already knew was just confirmed by Kris…while some of the Idols had a day off in Toronto to shop, see a movie, etc., there was no day off for either Kris or Adam. Their extra commitments as the Top 2 keep them far too busy!

If you’re going to the Hartford show, please share your impressions of the show with us. Also, don’t forget to share your photos. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

From Canada the gang travels back to New York for a show on Saturday, August 15th .at the BlueCross Arena in Rochester.

Today the Adam news is the announcement that his June 25th issue of Rolling Stone was the best selling RS of the year. No surprise there, right? The bad news is that there are no back copies available of that issue. I’m glad I got mine, but now I’m sorry I didn’t pick up multiple copies when I had the chance. On August 6th Adam stopped by the RS offices in New York City to be honored for the accomplishment.

Random Adam thought for the day: people have commented and written that Adam seems to be having a big influence on the other Idols, not that this is anything new. I think even as Season 8 was in progress there were cases of both Adam advising/helping other contestants and cases of other Idols trying to imitate Adam’s performance style. It all seems to be a positive thing, but today I really laughed when I read Michael’s latest Tweets:
“What up Twitter world. It’s a beautiful day today in Canada and I’m ready to sang.”

LOL, we all remember Adam humbly proclaiming, “I can sang.”

And this from Michael following his Twitter party:

“I understand if scorned is a joke just don’t want anyone feeling left out u know.”
“Also I don’t like that word Scorned. So negative. I love u all I just can’t get to everyone. I really try. Goodnight u guys!!!:):):):)”

Sound familiar? Or maybe it’s just that they’re BOTH really sweet guys!

If you’re going to the Rochester show, please share your impressions of the show with us. Also, don’t forget to share your photos. And keep those photos and videos coming! If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

The gang travels to Hamilton, Ontario for a show on Friday, August 14th at the Copps Coliseum. The tour has now passed the halfway mark, 27 shows down, 25 to go. The Idols are all clearly exhausted, and probably none more so than Adam. I hope all are able to take care of themselves and catch a second wind.

Did all of you get a chance to check out Adam’s tweets from his Twitter party last night? If you read some of his earlier tweets, you know that he’s under doctor’s orders not to do any post-concert signings so that he can rest his voice. I’m not sure how long this will be for – hopefully not the entire rest of the tour. So Adam, to make up a little for disappointing his fans, decided to hold the Twitter party. Now he did NOT have to do this. I don’t know how many other performers would have cared that much about their fans to go out of their way to do something like that. I’m sure he wants to take care of his fans, but he also knows he has to take care of himself. I’m sure it’s a very difficult balancing act that he has to maintain every single day in order to stay healthy not only physically but mentally, and to try to please us at the same time.

I didn’t read the tweets until today. It’s a lot like jeopardy – you have the answer, but what’s the question? Some were very obvious, others not so much. It was a little frustrating not knowing some of the questions, but also kind of fun, like a game, trying to figure them out. Do any of you have the questions to some of the not-so-obvious answers? If so, please share in your comments.

I have to say, though, that I don’t quite understand giving Perez Hilton “air time.” I don’t like the guy at all, and it would have been nice to answer a fan’s question in that spot instead of a celebrity’s question. I’m also not thrilled with Adam’s answer. I know it was probably meant to be funny, but it was more information than I want to know. Geez, with all the details of Adam’s life coming out in recent interviews, SOME things should be kept private. Just my opinion.

BTW, thanks to Michael - I hear he was the Idol who invented the “Twitter Party!”

And lastly, here’s something fun! An interview from a couple of days ago:

If you’re going to the Hamilton show, please share your impressions of the show with us. Also, don’t forget to share your photos. If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

***UPDATED WITH VIDEOS & PHOTOS FROM GLAMSTRUKK***The gang’s been hanging in New York City! They’re doing two shows at the Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY beginning Tuesday, August 11th.

What a day it was yesterday! First there was Twittergate. Next, we found out that Adam won the Teen Choice Award for Best Male Reality/Variety Star!!! Congrats, Adam – you really did deserve to win!

Adam, Kris, and Allison also did a photo shoot for Elle Magazine over the weekend. Adam sent this tweet:
“At photoshoot w Kris and Allison getting glammed up!!! I love New York!!!!!”

Here’s a sneak peek at the photo shoot:

adam-elle-backstage

There’s already some controversy over this photo. Is it really Adam, or is it Kris dressed up to look like Adam? I think it’s Adam. Those legs are too long for Kris.

Finally, what would New York be without the annual Idols closing of the bell? Here’s the video. Warning – it’s long and pretty dullsville. Long intro, Adam comes in at about 3:10, wearing glasses and his hair slicked back. He stands in the back, most likely because he knows he’s the tallest and doesn’t want to block anyone. He’s next to Kris and Allison, of course. After a group shot, the guys come up to pose one at a time – it’s a lot of goofiness, what else? Adam comes up at 5:49, sort of just stands there. Then another group shot. Don’t bother unless you’re totally bored!

So, does anyone really wonder why the idols are tired?

***UPDATE*** Here is a quote from Adam, from a recent E Online interview that pretty much puts all the Twittergate debate to bed:
“Every night is such a big event. You have tons of people who are superexcited and passionate, which feels incredible. But at some point, I can only give so much and have enough energy to go out the next day. It really is draining. I’m not complaining about it at all, but it really is. There’s a point where you’re like, ‘Wow, I’m exhausted right now. I just gave a show. I met like 200 people and took pictures with everybody. And now I’m out signing autographs and people are, like, screaming insanely.’ It feels great, but yeah, it takes a chunk out of you.”

In the meantime, if you’re going to be attending this concert, please let us know and give us a review afterward.

In your comments, remember that while it’s fine to disagree, please respect your fellow poster and fellow Glambs. We have a wonderful environment and wonderful people here. Let’s keep it that way! ***UPDATED - MATT’S BUBBLE TWEETS ADDED*** The gang doesn’t have to travel because they’re doing a second show in Newark, NJ on Sunday, August 9th at the Prudential Center.

Per request, I’ve added more photos to the GMA post, including some incredible close ups. One photo even caught the sun winking off Adam’s earring! Please check them out. I am still in awe over Adam’s GMA performance of Starlight, and from your comments, you all agree. It was above and beyond anything we’ve seen thus far, and it proves that while we love Adam going all-out in concert with his feet-burning-the-stage sexiness, he doesn’t need that to move us either to tears or rapture. You guys have described the Starlight performance in detail in comments, so I won’t try to duplicate what you’ve already said, except to say that Adam’s stage presence, even in a “stripped down” setting, is undeniable. I also added a link to the end of the GMA article where you can get a free mp3 download of this performance. I already have the song burned onto a CD. Yeah!

For those of you who are Twitter-challenged, here are youtubes of Matt’s two Bubble Tweets from Newark:

After Newark the gang has a day off. Watch for a special “off-day” post, again by request. On Tuesday, August 11th the Idols hit New York, and Caren, one of our Fan Club Leaders, will be in attendance and hopefully will be giving us reports.

In the meantime, keep those photos and videos coming! If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! We never, ever tire of seeing Adam in action. Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

***UPDATED WITH VIDEOS*** The tour bus rolls into Newark, NJ on Saturday, August 8th for a show at the Prudential Center. First, check the “Photos and Videos” post for new Glambs photos from the Charlotte show of Adam doing his signing session. Love the hair!

Adam tweeted this apology a few minutes ago: “Atlantic city was great- I’m so sorry for passing on after show festivities but I have rest the voice, up since 5am for Good Morning America” I get the feeling that Adam is giving everything he has to give. I know he disappoints fans by not doing all the signings, but after what he gave us for the GMA concert, we really need to forgive him!

Speaking of the GMA show, if you checked the GMA post earlier, check it again – I added unbelievable photos of Adam from the Concert In The Park. I don’t know what more I can say about Adam’s performance that I didn’t say in the GMA post. It’s just a stunner, in every respect.

Random thought for the day…I DVR’d many of the Idol shows from Season 8, and sometimes I go back and watch them again. Looking back at Hollywood week, even though by then I was already a huge fan and was rooting for Adam, who would have thought then that we’d be seeing what we’ve seen over the past few months. Who would have imagined the incredible ride we’d be on or the unforgettable songs, which we all now know by heart? It makes me wonder about all the wonderful things we have to look forward to from Adam in the future. Who knows what songs, looks, and performances will come in the months ahead? What songs will we be joyfully singing along with in our cars come this winter when it’s cold and miserable outside? I know that no singer ever has brought this kind of excitement into my life.

In the meantime, keep those photos and videos coming! If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! We never, ever tire of seeing Adam in action. Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

The gang rocks into Atlantic City, NJ for a show at the Boardwalk Hall on Friday, August 7th. First off, I have to tell you that Glambs have been sending us some great photos, so if you haven’t checked out the “Photos and Videos” article, please do so! There are some photos from the Greensboro show that are just awesome. Also, some very talented people took videos at the last concert in Baltimore, and I’ve added quite a few of them to the Baltimore TOUR VIBE post. Please check them out! Adam looks utterly unbelievable in Baltimore (doing the Elvis hair again), and according to the Glambs who were there in person, the photos and videos, as great as they are, don’t do him justice. Read the reviews in the Baltimore comments – they’re beyond wonderful!!! Thank you all for posting. I also included a brand new interview video from Baltimore.

My concert dates are still well in the future, as is the case for many of you, and I have to say that I’m riding this crest of anticipation which just keeps building and building. I hope I make it another 3 weeks – I feel like I’m running on Adam fumes alone. But it’s all good – Adam has his twitter back, he’s on Good Morning America on Aug. 7th, and every day that goes by brings us closer to the day we hear Adam doing his own music.

In the meantime, keep those photos and videos coming! If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

Wow! Did this ever catch my eye! Thanks to E! Online writer Carrie Borzillo-Vrenna for going where no other writer has gone before. Adam Lambert Pictures, Images and Photos

From E! Online:
Fans have taken it up a notch from throwing bras and panties at Adam Lambert during the American Idol summer tour. Now they’re tossing up sex toys. “It’s going further, and somebody threw onstage a red-leather tasseled whip,” he tells us. “Yeah, and then the next night, I got one that was made out of, like, purple fur. It’s getting really S&M.” How’s he dealing with the newfound fan freakiness? Find out…

“It interesting,” he says. “I got some glow-in-the-dark handcuffs. It’s really getting creative. It’s exciting. I think they really want me to play with these toys during the number.” So does he? “I always try to because I enjoy that,” he says. “But then somebody threw a bra on during ‘Starlight,’ and, literally, it missed my face by three inches. Yeah, I am going to be a little bit more passive-aggressive, so I decided not to even acknowledge the bra that got thrown on stage, because I didn’t want to condone the behavior.” The upside to the new X-rated projectiles? “I’m glad it was a soft material and wasn’t anything hard. I’m not really into S&M, but it’s definitely tempting.”
Oh, Adam!

Here’s the video showing the toys mentioned above. This was from the Tampa show. When he tosses the handcuffs to an audience member and blows a kiss, it’s too cute!

I have no idea how performers remember all the words to their songs. But you can see in the following video shot during the Deluth, Georgia concert that even Adam is human. He was so clearly enjoying himself onstage, telling the audience “Georgia! I like it down here!” and then he laughs before introducing “Starlight.” When that bra missed his face by 3 inches it surprised him so much that he forgot where he was in the song.

At :51 he sings: “Starlight, I will be chasing your starlight . . .” and instead of “until the end of my life, I don’t know if it’s worth it anymore” he skips to: “let’s conspire to reignite all the souls that would die just to feel alive.” He stumbles a bit on his way back to the “hold you, in my arms,” chorus and from then on it’s beautiful, as usual. But I bet his mind was going a million miles an hour thinking “oh s#!t, how do I get out of this one?” I also wonder what the band thinks when they’ve realized the singer is off. But Adam is enough of an experienced professional that only those who have the lyrics memorized would know.

***UPDATED WITH BEST CONCERT VIDEOS TO DATE & INTERVIEW*** Kradam, Manny, (love that!!!) and the rest of the gang roll into Baltimore for a show at the 1st Mariner Arena on Wednesday, August 5th. From both fan reviews and media reports, Adam continues to be the unqualified star of the show – but then we all knew that! Even so, it’s fun to hear about everyone’s individual experience in attending the concerts, so if you will be attending the Baltimore show, please comment with your review.

In the meantime, for your daily fix of eye and ear candy, check out the Greensboro TOUR VIBE - I’ve just uploaded photos, videos, and a brand new interview with Adam! Also added are videos for Charlotte - the audio and visual both for the Starlight video are incredible! I have to say that I LOVE Starlight…one of the genres I write is science fiction, so this song has a lot of meaning for me. It’s a whistful, haunting love story that transports me to a different place.

I’d like to take an opportunity to address something that came up in comments yesterday. This isn’t directed at any one person, but as a general warning to everyone. We are an invested target audience. This means all of us want something very badly – that, of course, is to meet Adam in person. As with any invested group of people, we are therefore the target of scam artists. I know about scams very well, having been a victim myself in the past (to the tune of hundreds of dollars.) I am a writer, and writers, too, are an invested group – they all want to be published! Literary agent scams are famous, and they always involve asking for money up front. This is the number one way you can tell a scam – YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR MONEY UP FRONT. It may be a small amount of money, and you may be willing to pay it, but DON’T!

One other way you can spot a scam is by its unprofessional nature. The website in question yesterday, when I looked at it, was a very poorly designed and amateurish squeeze page. It used Adam’s photo from his official website, which I am sure that nobody has permission to use except 19 Entertainment, along with a supposed “previous contest winner” posing with Adam. That photo could have been of anyone.

Again, this subject is meant only to educate, not to embarrass anyone. In fact, I’m glad it happened because it is a good learning experience for all of us. As I said, I’ve been a victim myself, which has caused me to be more aware and more careful nowadays. We are a passionate lot, and passion can sometimes override common sense, so please – I just want everyone to take a step back and think before making decisions, especially where money is concerned. Okay, enough of the lecture! There is no concert on August 6th, so I promise all of you some big-time FUN in tomorrow’s post!

If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! We never, ever tire of seeing Adam in action. Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.

***UDATED - VIDEOS ADDED & DC INTERVIEW (Reporter D-, Adam A+)*** The gang is in DC for a show on Tuesday, August 4th at the Verizon Center. Here are some notes from the road…

First things first! Michael tweets, “Guys we see doctors all the time. That is our way to stay healthy. Nothing is wrong with Adam. He is sitting here jamming to music.” I’m thinking this was in response to fans tweeting Michael asking about Adam. Adam’s fans do worry about him, and it seems that any time Adam does not sign after a show, speculation runs wild.

For those of you who want to see for yourself that Adam is well, check out this Bubble Tweet from Danny. It features Kradam and Manny (too funny!!!): http://bbltwt.com/t85gr

Matt also tweeted about being in DC. “We’re at a museum and this employee says ‘you look like that guy from AI’…I responded with ‘no but I get that all the time’ then left.” Matt followed up with this tweet: “Loving the museum. Even though we can’t stop referencing ‘Night At The Museum.’”

Matt left this Twitpic http://twitpic.com/co0gt called “Attack of the Butterflies!!!!” It’s hilarious!

Dang, do I ever wish Adam’s twitter was working. It would be so nice to hear these kind of things from him!

I know from your comments that some of you will be attending the Washington and Baltimore shows. We hope you can share your thoughts on the shows later in the week. The Baltimore show will be Wednesday, August 5th, followed by an off-day on the 6th. The gang hits New Jersey for the weekend.

If you have photos and/or videos from either this concert or any of the past concerts, please email them to us! We never, ever tire of seeing Adam in action. Our email address is tourphotos@glambs.org.
