Have you been watching all the hosting and interview bits Adam Lambert has been doing lately on VH1, Fuse and Logo? Have you noticed that he’s worn the same zipper-adorned jacket, jewelry, pants and boots in everything? I think he changed his shirt to a striped one for one of the shows. All these Top 20, Sexy Beats and Ten on Top interviews must have been done on the same day! He’ll be back on Fuse with more Sexy Beats on Thursday, so let’s see what he wears.
Now, he’s done another piece with VH1, but this time we get the full run-down on his fabulous fashion. I love that he’s avant-garde yet still sensible, wearing the striking coat from the EMAs/Queen performance in his Better Than I Know Myself video too!
Feast on!

Here’s an extra video I just found from Adam’s Project Runway appearance. He’s chatting with the gorgeous Heidi Klum. She’s a pretty good interviewer too! A lot better than many we’ve seen. She asked something I’ve never heard before – what does Adam sing in his car? I’ll leave it for you to learn as you watch the video!
Heidi has a unique connection with Adam because she’s married to recording artist, Seal. She shares some things they’ve had in common! Is it just me, or do you think Adam was a bit awkward with the High 5 at the end?

Adam Lambert served as a Guest Judge on last night’s Project Runway. IMO . . . he was the BEST GUEST JUDGE EVER! Even some of the designers agree! Watch the extra video below to hear the designers’ flattering opinions about Adam’s stint as a judge. He seemed to enjoy himself quite a bit, even answering a tweet earlier this week that asked “What was your favorite part about being on Project Runway?” His Tweetser: @catalm the judges are reeeeally funny. On and off camera. Micheal had me in stitches w his wit.
Okay, I can’t hold back any longer - could there have been more of a mismatch between Adam and The Sheepdogs??!! I know fashion is fashion, but for a musical challenge, I was hoping for a bit more Rock and Roll. I can only wonder what was going through Adam’s mind when he was listening to them play on the runway. As a consummate professional, he did his best and even moved to the beat with an intense expression. But I think Adam’s laughter during the judges’ comments about the fashions told the story. A mixture of Scooby Doo and the $2 bin at Salvation Army!
By the way, on the show when the safe designers were leaving the stage, did you notice the special smiles pointed in Adam’s direction by Joshua and Anthony Ryan? I did!!

While Adam Lambert was in New York several weeks ago, he stopped in at Project Runway and was a guest judge! The theme is Rock and Roll, so who better to marry the musical genre with fashion?
From the following promo video for the September 22, 2011 episode, we see another rocker’s Glambulge is getting some attention. Sorry Glambs - I couldn’t resist!!
We’ve been waiting forever for this and now it’s here! Don’t worry - if you don’t catch it tonight, it replays several times during the week on Lifetime.

Adam Lambert spent time with Skingraft owner/designer Jonny Cota for MTV’s talk@playground, discussing the marriage of fashion and music. Adam has been a longtime fan and patron of Skingraft, receiving many of his Idol and Glam Nation Tour pieces from the Los Angeles-based company. In the following video, we get to see Adam and Jonny discussing their growth as artists. It’s obvious from their tone, that these two are old friends.
You can also see Skingraft designs on this season’s Vampire Diaries. Super sexy vampire Damian Salvatore, played by the super sexy Ian Sommerhalder is sporting a virile studded leather jacket in the Season 3 promo.
Check out Skingraft’s incredible line here.
Enjoy these clips of Adam and Jonny discussing how music inspires clothes and clothes inspire music. The smiles are precious! Thank you to Devenlane for giving us the video.

Although I can’t confirm it, there are plenty of other sites willing to “confirm” that Adam Lambert will be on an upcoming episode of Project Runway! The man certainly knows his fashion, and this could make for a great episode!
From Bridgett P. LaVictoire at lezgetreal.com:
It appears that the answer to whether or not Adam Lambert will be appearing on Project Runway this season is a ‘yes.’ Rumors began that he would be appearing on the show back in July, but this week, it appears that a representative from RCA had confirmed the appearance of Lambert on the show. In response to a message left on Lambert’s website asking if the singer would be on the show, a representative from RCA known as Ed, answered only “Yes, he will.”
Project Runway’s producers keep future guests under tight wraps, though, and it is unknown when Lambert will appear on the show. However, Renee Snyder of Gather.com believes that it could be soon. She wrote “Someone noticed that in this week’s episode, the Empire State Building has red, white, and blue lights. This is a good indicator that episode seven was filmed during the week of July 4. We already know that Adam was in New York to tape the show around July 14 based on one of his tweets from that week. Therefore, it is likely that we are two weeks away from seeing Adam on Project Runway.”

On the Red Carpet for the 2nd day in a row, Adam Lambert told the press at the VH1 Do Something Now Awards, that he’s into a certain kind of men’s shoe right now – the ‘Medge.’ To all us women who’ve been wearing them for decades now, they’re just wedges, but the “M” makes it a Men’s Wedge. They’ve caught onto our secret ladies! The wedge is a slightly more comfortable high heel. What’s next? Milettos?
To be honest, I’m more fascinated with his stunning necklace. What’s he call that one? A Mecklace??

Adam Lambert Joins The Glam Circus For ‘If I Had You’ Video
Lambert sports some space-age gear in the clip.
By Gil Kaufman/mtv.com

Adam Lambert looked like he was channeling the ghost of Ziggy Stardust on the set of the video for his latest single, “If I Had You.” Filmed early Thursday morning in Los Angeles’ Griffith Park, the clip looks like it will be a typically over-the-top affair with lots of elaborate costumes, face paint and a woodsy setting, where last year’s “American Idol” runner-up hosts a kind of Cirque du Soleil dance party.
Before the shoot, Lambert tweeted on Wednesday, “Gearing up for an all night video shoot for ‘If I Had You,’ ” which he followed with the tidbit, “Invited a bunch of my performer friends to cameo in the video. It’s gonna be one big happy family!” Lambert, you might recall, was a frequent contributor to Los Angeles’ anything-goes “Zodiac Show” before auditioning for “Idol,” where he often shared the stage with circus-like performers while singing in outrageous, glitter-splashed costumes.
While a spokesperson for Lambert could not be reached for comment on the shoot, a reported casting call sent out a request for all manner of fire eaters, jugglers and twirlers for the clip, helmed by veteran director Bryan Barber (Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera).
In a still released from the shoot, Lambert sports silver-and-black Kiss-style sparkly platform boots studded with metal spikes, white jeans and a white shirt underneath his signature spike-shoulder leather jacket, with a black lightning bolt painted over his left eye.
Once the shoot for the third single from his debut album, For Your Entertainment, wrapped, Lambert breathed a sign of relief, tweeting, “That’s a wrap. Whew!” He added, “Big thanks to the amazing cast and crew of the ‘If I Had You’ music video!!”

Adam Lambert is ready take his over-the-top performance all over the world to promote his album, For Your Entertainment. And as the image-conscious “Idol” runner-up plans a tour for later this year, one big question remains: Who will design his stage outfits?
Thanks to Jocelyn Vena, and with reporting by Tim Kash who are both from MTV, for letting us in on this:
At the G-Star Raw show during New York Fashion Week, Lambert did dish to MTV News that he already has a designer in mind. “Oh, wow, I think Gareth Pugh is really, really talented,” he said of the English designer whose goth-chic designs could be a perfect fit for the glam rocker. “It’s kind of futuristic and cutting edge.”
Lambert added that he loves how Pugh always does the unexpected, not unlike Lambert himself. “He uses materials that aren’t typical for fabrics,” he explained. “He uses a lot of metal and spikes and nails and things like that. It might not be the most comfortable outfit in the world, but it’s so striking.”
Given his love for avant-garde fashions, it comes as no surprise that Lambert has only one rule when it comes to his style: There are no rules. “I hate the term, ‘Oh, I couldn’t ever pull that off,’ ” he said. “I let that go when I was about 20. I try to aim to pull anything off that comes my way.”

Here is an interview with FOX5 New York from the Blonds Fashion Show. ENJOY!!
Adam Lambert Heats Up Fashion Week
By ANNE CRAIG/MYFOXNY.COM
MYFOXNY.COM EXCLUSIVE - Fox 5 caught up with Adam Lambert at the Blonds show at Fashion Week. The Blonds are rock and roll: They’ve dressed Britney, Beyoncé, Fergie.
Lambert’s voice captured America. His makeup brought us the term “guyliner.” And his style is sharp — literally. At the fashion show, he wore a glove with claws, designed by the Blonds.
What’s to come for Adam: World domination? He is about head out on a promotional tour to raise awareness for his album, “For Your Entertainment.”
How about this for awareness: Adam’s video for “What Do You Want from Me” is the number one video in the country on VH1.
Adam admits that relating to “For Your Entertainment” might be a tougher pill to swallow for fans, especially after his controversial AMA performance.
I have come across some great pics from Fashion Week with Adam on the pre-show Red Carpet and sitting front row. I would have been so busy staring at him that i’d have missed the show!! ENJOY:

Who better than Adam to be a fashion correspondent? When you have your own style in check like no other celebrity
, you can take your expertise to the next level. Honestly, I can’t see Adam really criticizing anyone’s choice of attire for the evening…but he says he will “call them out” if they are a “fashion DON’T!” I guess we’ll just have to watch! -Dana, Glamb #6
Best-selling singing sensation Adam Lambert is bringing his style expertise to the Grammy red carpet this Sunday as ET’s fashion correspondent and in this all-new blog, the fan favorite reveals who he’s excited to see!
Some stars he can’t wait to see? Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Ke$ha to name a few.
“I’m really excited for the divas,” he tells ET. “I’m excited to see what these girls are going to bring to the table — they always look fabulous. I have a feeling they’re not going to fail, they never really do but if they do I’m gonna call them out on it.”
But Lambert promises his critiques won’t be mean-spirited.
“I’ll be nice, to a point,” he says, “but constructive.”
And he says the guys will have him to compete with.
“So the guys, they’re always wearing suits, I want to see creativity,” he says. “Hopefully they’ll step their game up when they see what I’m wearing because you know I’m going to go for it.”

***Updated with Video!*** Do we ever tire of seeing the next fashion statement that Adam will make? We already know he has great style, but it is always nice to see more and more people recognizing it! Apparently, celebrities feel a little more free to be themselves at this occasion without the scrutiny that other high-profile events typically draw to their choice of attire. Three cheers for freedom of expression! At the event, Adam and comedienne, Sarah Silverman, presented the Best Comedy award to “The Hangover.” ~Dana, Glamb #6
January 15, 2010 — Adam Lambert and Emily Blunt showed up all gussied up for the 15th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards at the Hollywood Palladium tonight. So did a slew of other celebrities.
Although this was a night to celebrate films, put up by the Broadcast Film Critics Association, it was also a night for show business fashionistas to dress to the nines without being concerned that the entire world would criticize their every clothing choice from head to toe (think the Oscars or the Golden Globes).
In this more low-key event, done up attendees out to take in this fine event seemed to have fun picking out their wardrobes without worrying about being put down by fashion critics. The results are outstanding (see photo show below)!
Meanhile, perhaps the venue where the awards show took place also inspired all that style and panache.
Indeed, the showy Hollywood Palladium — standing on the spot of the original Paramount Studios — is an Art Deco treasure, done up in streamlined moderne splendor.
Hailing back to the glory days when crooners like Frank Sinatra sang at this venerable establishment (Old Blue Eyes was the Hollywood Palladium’s first headliner on October 31,1940), this Los Angeles landmark provided plenty of glam in the form of a great building. Wide sweeping, tubular ceiling adornments create drama while the carefully crafted theater-in-the-round lets everyone see everything no matter where they are sitting. All this makes going to the Hollywood Palladium a real true Los Angeles treat.
So, at the end of tonight, this was definitely a wonderful place to be wearing a wonder wardrobe on a wonderful evening. So, without further ado, get a load of the duds and the celebs who wore them as these high-styled high-profilers walked down the red carpet for the 15th annual Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.
After such a seemingly long dry spell of no Adam news, we are finally feeling the wind and rain, and we’re loving it! Each day now seems to bring either music news, new interviews, or new photo shoots.
To the magazine alerts we can now add InStyle magazine. The November issue has a nice one-page spread on Adam with some fashion and non-fashion Q & A.

Here’s a transcript of the article, courtesy of Mr. L:
Itching to work with?
Lady Gaga. She has a bold look and her music is awesome. We could have a lot of fun performing together.
Favorite discovery
The IPhone. I love the Bump app that lets you exchange contact information with someone by bumping your phones together and Speak Easy is really great for recording vocals.
Signature scent
Dior Homme. It’s so yummy
Style Icons
David Bowie, Marc Bolan, Mick Jagger, Steven Tyler, Prince and Michael Jackson were big influences on me.
Fashion faves
Gareth Pugh has a men’s line that’s unbelievable. There’s Skin Graft, a L.A. design house that made a lot of my leather jackets and accessories on Idol, Brian Lichtenberg who does holographic leggings and sweatshirts, Diesel jeans and Loree Rodkin jewelry.
Drink of choice
I’m addicted to those 5-Hour Energy shots and unsweetened ice coffees.
Recent splurge
My four day get away to Bacara Resort & Spa in Santa Barbara. It costs a pretty penny but was well worth it.
Beauty essentials
OPI nail polish, M.A.C. Smolder eyeliner and Bad Head styling products.
Necessary extravagance
Manicures. Often I paint my own nails, but on tour there is manicurist on site – and she does a much better job!
If I didn’t audition for Idol..
I would still be a chorus boy in ‘Wicked’ in Los Angeles.
Looking forward to
My album – it’s 100 percent me. Rock, pop, dance, electronic and funk – a little bit of everything.
So how many of you are the type to buy a product just because Adam uses/endorses it? I have to plead guilty to buying a few of Adam’s “favorites” - his “Me” by mezhgan eyeliner and OPI onyx nail polish, but I don’t automatically run out and buy everything he endorses. I’d go broke!

We started with Adam’s jackets, and it was suggested we also look at his jewelry (to quote Carol, “don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the pants!) I don’t think anyone who has been following Adam since his audition has failed to notice his jewelry. It’s part of his fabulous sense of style, but more than that, I think it’s very much a part of who he is. I get the impression that Adam chooses his jewelry with as much care and thought as he plans the rest of his look. Yes, he has stylists and people who help him with his wardrobe, and yes, he has fans giving him tons of gifts, but I think in the end, Adam is making his choices, and I think there are probably reasons for his choices. I get the impression that Adam is very spiritual, and I think that much of what he wears, beyond being simply ‘sick,’ has meaning for him. Just my personal opinion.
First is the Egyptian-style jewelry and the meaning of the Egyptian symbols. I think it’s pretty safe to say that Adam’s ankh ring is his signature ring. I don’t know if he wears it ALL the time, but he wears it a lot. This particular ankh ring also incorporates a scarab design into it. Now I’m not an expert on Egyptian symbolism, but from what I’ve read is that the common meaning for the ankh is eternal life and power. The loop of the Ankh is held by the Gods. It is associated with Isis and Osiris in the Early Dynastic Period. The Loop of the Ankh also represents the feminine discipline, while the elongated section represents the masculine discipline. These two units come together and form life. Another explanation for the two parts of the ankh is that the circle symbolizes eternal life and the cross below it represents the material plane.

The scarab design is also present in the pendant that Adam has frequently worn and is now wearing during his concerts. The scarab was a very important, perhaps even the most important, amulet in ancient Egypt. The scarab, like the ankh, symbolizes new life and the eternal, daily rebirth of the world. The behavior of the scarab beetle, which maintains balls of dung, was likened by the Egyptians to the forces that roll the sun across the sky. Young scarabs, emerging from the dung balls in which scarab eggs were laid, were seen as life emerging from dead matter. This association reinforced the notion that scarabs symbolize rebirth, resurrection, and renewal.

Interestingly enough, Adam’s rocker pendant with the sparkly stones surrounded by the metal spikes, worn during the Whole Lotta Love Idol performance (among others) could possibly be interpreted as the sun, adding to the “life” symbolism Adam seems to like.

And speaking of Egyptian symbolism, even though it’s not jewelry, how could I not mention the tattoo? I think most of Adam’s fans know that he got the Eye of Horus tattoo on his right wrist during the Idol season. What you may not know is that later on, Adam had the tattoo revised. In a quote from Adam in an article by Brian Mansfield for USA Today, Adam says, “Right after the New York press circuit, I went and had additions put on to it – put more color, put extra lines into it. In a way, it’s cool, because it kind of completes the experience…these are my colors. I love these colors – turquoises, blues and greens.” Adam adds that the Eye of Horus “symbolizes protection – it’s like an evil eye.” If you look at the “before” Motown week photo and the “after” photo, the extra color becomes obvious.

Many thanks to Theresa/Canada (Terry) who helped me with the idea for this article and with photos! Next up – Part 2 will look at those slithery creatures that Adam really, really loves!
By the way, I don’t want to pimp any particular retail outfit, but many of Adam’s favorite jewelry pieces are available for sale online. I know for sure that the ankh/scarab ring, the scarab pendant, and the sparkle Whole Lotta Love pendant are available. It just takes a little googling.
If you have any insight into the jewelry or the symbolism discussed in this post, please feel free to chime in. As I said, this article is just fun speculation on my part!
