Adam Lambert appeared this morning on Good Morning America, singing Never Close Our Eyes from the Trespassing CD, being released tomorrow. As the show went to commercial, he began singing Trespassing but sadly, we didin’t get to hear much of it.
If you missed it this morning, catch it here! Thank you GalyaChernikova for posting the video.

Adam Lambert appeared on Chelsea Lately, hosted by comedienne(?) Chelsea Handler. I have to watch my words, because I really don’t care for her hosting personality. With some of her comments, she makes herself look incredibly stupid. Every talk show has a research staff, and to say Adam was in the closet until his interview with Rolling Stone is ignorant. She’s just trying to manipulate conversation, but Adam deals with it like a pro.
Here’s a video by NeonLimelight.com from the May 10, 2012 broadcast, where they discuss all the usual – the music, the songwriting, Queen, juicing, and being gay. When will that stop being a topic of conversation? The part that I had the most difficulty with was when she asked Adam if he writes songs about his boyfriend. Adam gives a great response, and her follow up comment is one of the most disgusting quips I’ve ever heard. Sorry for that, my friends. Please let me know if it struck a raw nerve in you too.
At least this is– as always, an opportunity to spend some time with the amazingly honest and bright Adam Lambert!

The media storm for Trespassing is beginning! Adam Lambert will appear tomorrow on E’s Chelsea Lately. We know Chelsea has a smart mind and tongue, so the entertainment level should be high. As soon as it’s available, we’ll post the video. Adam first appeared on her show almost 2 ½ years ago.
My guide has this episode appearing 3 times in Pacific Time; 11 PM on Thursday, May 10, and 12:30 AM and 2 AM on Friday, May 11. Check your cable listing for your times. (I’m having a bit of trouble getting this to appear correctly on our Countdown Timer.)
While we wait for tonight’s episode, here’s the one from Dec. 2009.

Here it is, one week following Adam Lambert’s concert on the Jimmy Kimmel Live series, and I’d like to share some extra moments with you that Lila and I stumbled upon. I’m still so happy from the performance I saw. Adam’s style is truly evolving right before our eyes, and this latest phase is such a statement of his own artistry.
After Adam’s 5-song concert, which concluded around 8:30 PM, Lila & I walked across the street to the famous Mel’s Diner to have dinner. We even joked about the band coming in for a meal, since they all live in the area. On our way back to the car, we noticed a group of people huddled in the alley next to the El Capitan Theatre, where the Jimmy Kimmel Show is filmed. We asked a man standing there what was going on and he said they were “waiting for Adam Lambert to come out. He just gave a concert on the Jimmy Kimmel Show and he went inside but hasn’t come out yet.” We told him and his wife that we were at the concert too, and you could see the relief on his face, that he didn’t have to explain his stalker-ish behavior. Having just waited outside two San Diego radio stations for the same thrill a few weeks earlier, Lila and I could totally relate! He was there with his wife, celebrating their anniversary. They spent the day flying in from Dallas just for the concert! Another lady standing with us was there from Denver. (Travel statements like this were echoed by many fans in line for the show that day. Another testament to Adam’s continuing popularity.)
A few minutes passed, and Lee and Scarlett Cherry came out, followed by new-Glamily member, singer Octavia Latrice (@SincerliOctavia). On their way passing us, I asked Octavia if I could take a picture and she very nicely agreed.

Octavia Latrice after Jimmy Kimmel Live
A few minutes later, Adam, Sauli, Eber, singer Keisha Reneé (@KeishaRenee), and (I think) Keyboardist/Musical Director Brian London came out. This video from WorldMonitor.TV shows their studio entrance earlier in the day and at :15, their exit from the studio, where we were standing.
Adam made a quick get-away in his fur-collared jacket, blowing a kiss and waving to the group. There were rumors flying around from all the fans “who know” that he was hosting a dinner with his father and Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor. Oh, to be at that table! On our way through the parking lot to our car, we noticed Octavia was still there, with 2 others. We stopped to chat, introducing ourselves as the nominees from the NNN Awards, and told her how much we had enjoyed their performance there. She told us that NNN Awards was their first time performing together and that they had so much fun. She told us she’s from Miami and that she came to sing with Adam through her professional relationship with Brian London. She has also sung with Natalie (Cole, I assume!) and Chaka Khan. I joked with her about Adam’s request for the fans to dress “more funky” and we wondered if funk was going to be the long, flowing gowns that she wore at the NNN Awards!

Lila, Octavia and Carol after Jimmy Kimmel Live
Lila and I have realized that opportunities like this will probably happen again, and that we need to be armed with interesting things to talk about! Any ideas?

Adam Lambert absolutely knocked it out of the park on Jimmy Kimmel last night. And it only took three years to happen!
Adam Lambert gave Lila and me (and the other 1,000 Glamberts who were packed tightly in front of the stage!) a true mini concert last night when he performed five songs from the upcoming Trespassing album, complete with full band and back-up singers on the Jimmy Kimmel LIVE Concert Series.
The joy on Adam’s face said it all. He is so thrilled to be sharing his musical viewpoint with his fans, letting us truly into his world. We could see the elation in his eyes and feel his excitement from the natural smiles that emoted from his face as he was back on stage, in front of his adoring fans!
I know it’s been a while since my first Glam Nation Tour in June 2010, but I honestly am still feeling the same excitement as that magical night in Milwaukee. I can’t wait for the Trespassing Tour!

P.S. Watch quickly! I don’t know how long the videos from the show will stay up!

Naked Love – Carol Hagey
I love when Adam puts his hand to his ear at 1:24, calling for the audience to sing on the "oh, oh, oh," you can really hear it and he gets such a kick from it! And the "take it off, and try me on" is what dreams are made of!

Trespassing
In case you missed it, last night Adam Lambert was featured on Jimmy Kimmel, but only one of the five songs he performed was shown on TV! The song featured on the show was Adam’s newest single Never Close Our Eyes, but the entire setlist is as follows:
NCOE http://youtu.be/OCDepYUQT_M
Trespassing http://youtu.be/wkA1Rd3bO8U
Naked Love http://youtu.be/-Bb1MaPC05o
Broken English http://youtu.be/nn0Xwi9LIYE
Cuckoo http://youtu.be/eYKviMZ8LZ4
(I still haven’t figured out how to embed video so I included the links above.)
Which song surprised me the most? Broken English. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do. It’s simply amazing and I can’t wait to find a high quality video of it!
After the performance, Carol and I went across the street to eat at Mel’s Diner. About an hour later we came out to see a group of Glambert’s still standing around the stage door. Ends up he hadn’t left yet so we hung around for a few minutes to see him leave. What timing!!! Here’s the paps view of the scene. To be honest their long range camera caught more than I did and I was there. He was pretty far away.
We met some very nice people there at the end that we didn’t meet earlier in the day. A couple who had flown in that day from Dallas and one from Denver! If you know of or met someone who traveled from farther, let us know in the comments!
We also talked to one of his new backup singer’s Octavia. She was really, REALLY nice! I’m sure Carol will have a lot more to say about it (as well as a picture of the three of us that is probably still on her phone).
I can’t wait for our next Adam adventure!
Even though it has been denied that Adam Lambert will be appearing with Queen on this week’s American Idol, one reporter for the Boston.com will not let it go.
Taken from their pages:
It’s Queen week! Brian May and Roger Taylor (pictured, right, with May) will be in attendance, and while rumors of Adam Lambert’s no-brainer appearance have been dismissed by insiders, we fully expect him to descend from the rafters wearing something fabulous.
I know it seemed like a natural to have Adam sing with Queen, considering Queen has managed to turn the canceled Sonisphere show into 3 additional performances WITH Adam. We can only cross our fingers for this preview to the hottest show this summer!
Be sure and tune in Thursday night when Adam performs on ABC’s Live with Jimmy Kimmel. A few of us got lucky and got tickets to the show, so hopefully we’ll have some additional video for you!
Love ya!

Adam is scheduled to perform a mini concert on Jimmy Kimmel Live, April 26 at his outdoor venue. Get your tickets here:
http://www.1iota.com/show/view/Jimmy_Kimmel_Live
Tickets are free, but you do have to register.
I’m not sure what the difference is between Kimmel’s indoor and outdoor concerts, but this seems to be one of the few that is taking place outside. Maybe it has a bigger capacity? If anyone knows, please enlighten us in the comments!
I did find this information from someone who had previously seen Silversun Pickups there. It is 5 years old so I hope it’s not outdated!
“There are outdoor mini-concerts and indoor mini-concerts. This show was an outdoor mini concert. Outdoor meaning that stage set-up is beyond the alley of the studio, beyond the rear parking lot, way in the back on the next street over. If you find yourself leaning on a fence and looking across Hawthorne street at the surrounding fence of Hollywood High, then you’re in the right spot. The entrance is back where the Hollywood façade of the studio does not reach. The massive columns and towering banners at the Jimmy Kimmel Live entrance on Hollywood Boulevard are for the in-studio audiences only.”
You can check out the Yelp page to see what other people had to say about the venue. One person commented that when they say Death Cab for Cutie they played FOUR SONGS. The reviewer was kinda pissed about it, but Carol and I have gone the same distance to see him only play ONE song at Leno so four would be a treat!

I’m writing this in two parts. This first is more of a quick report on the night, and the second part will be from Lila’s and my personal viewpoints and full of pictures!
Part One
The NewNowNext Awards 2012 was a star-studded occasion, complete with all the ingredients that make a heart go pitter-pat. It was held at the historic Avalon Theater in Hollywood, where The Beatles made their West Coast debut in 1964. Lila and I arrived just before 6 PM and the first well-known face I saw was Ross Mathews. From that moment on, I knew the night was going to be magical! The Red Carpet, scheduled from 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM was in full-swing, occupied at this time mostly with personalities from RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Lila and I were escorted into The Avalon from the back, fresh from the Red Carpet area, entering onto the main floor. I estimate there was seating for about 700 on the floor, with additional main floor raised seating, plus levels in the balcony. The main floor was set in rows, unlike last year’s tables. About 40% of the chairs had name signs on them, many of them celebrities’ names. Other signs were for industry-related people invited to this soirée. We were stunned to find we were seated in the 7th row, and my chair had my name on it!
We were treated to an open-bar in the back with hors d’oeuvres being circulated. Lila and I enjoyed this part very much, because we needed something to calm our nerves! Here we met several fabulous men from Time Warner and the Las Vegas “What Happens in Vegas” marketing campaign, who would become our companions later in the evening at the Afterparty. Over-head announcements started invited everyone to take their seats, since the show would begin in about 15 minutes and people slowly began to move to their seats. The seat kitty-corner to Lila’s had been labeled RuPaul, yet the occupant clearly wasn’t RuPaul! Next to her was Jiggly Caliente and Sharon Needles, both from Drag Race.
With about 10 minutes to go, we saw Adam and Sauli enter from the same back door area and take their seats in the first row. Celebrities were stopping and chatting with Adam, and I pulled Lila up with me to go talk to him. Even though I had just spoken with Adam last week at the San Diego morning radio station, mentioning that we were from the fansite nominated for the NNN award, it didn’t seem to register on his face that he knew what we were talking about. He just smiled and said, “oh, that’s great” and moved on to the next fan. (I know radio stations are hectic.) But now was the perfect time to introduce ourselves again. He was just finishing talking with someone, and I was about to step up, but Josh Hutcherson from The Hunger Games stepped in front of me. I waited, hearing “3 minutes to start time” and Josh left. I approached Adam, and said “Hi Adam, I just want to tell you how proud we are to be representing you with our fansite!” At first he just looked at me like another fan, and then the light went on in his eyes, and he gave me a big smile, saying thank you for all the work we do. I wanted Lila to have her time with him too, so I shifted to Sauli next to him and introduced myself and shook his hand. There was a Drag Queen next to Sauli that for some reason I didn’t recognize, who was listening to our conversation, so I figured she must be part of their group. I said “Hi, I’m sorry I don’t recognize you” and she replied “I’m Raja.” “Oh my gosh, I watched you all last season!” She smiled and shook my hand. It was time to go back to our seats, so as I passed in front of Adam again, he said “good luck, I’ll be crossing my fingers for you!” and he raised his hand to show me. I couldn’t keep myself from saying, “you know, this has been an incredible 15 minutes for me!” and he looked right at me with a big smile.
Lila and I melted all the way back to our seats! She told me about their conversation, and we were both sorry we didn’t have something recording it! She told him we were from the fansite, and he thanked her and told her he appreciates what the fansites do. Lila said “we do it for you. It’s all about you.” He replied with “no, it’s a symbiotic thing!” and he motioned his fingers back and forth between the two of them. Squee! Back at our chairs, I noticed that Jai Rodriguez had taken his seat behind me and I introduced myself. (Jai was my favorite cast member from Queer Eye For the Straight Guy.) See the second part for more on this.
Okay, sorry! I had to expand on that part!! Back to the straight report – no pun intended!
The show began and we were entertained by host Kelly Osborne and all the award presenters, as well as performances from Brink of Fame winner, Neon Hitch, Rye Rye, and Neon Trees, who gave an amazing performance of their new single “Everybody Talks.” I must add that Kelly Osborne did an outstanding job hosting the entire event. Her personality is so warm and infectious! They arrived at the part of the evening where they announced the award for Superfan Site, and Lila’s and my heart were beating out of our chests! Unfortunately, the fansite for Vampire Diaries took the award, and it was claimed by Kat Graham, who plays Bonnie Bennett on the show. No one from that fansite was able to attend and Bonnie said how much the show “really appreciates all the fans do for them” and we thought that was very nice.
Then it was time for the performance everyone was waiting for – Adam! He was closing the show, as only a top star does. Kelly gave him an amazing introduction (you can tell they’re good friends!) and Adam gave us his show-stopping new funk sound, with the first full-band performance of Trespassing that I’ve seen or heard. His energy was non-stop, his voice was full of fire and the show was electrified, ending in a shower of confetti! Adam had two female, gowned back-up singers on-stage with him. The entire theater was on their feet dancing and clapping to the syncopated beat, having the time of their life. Everyone knew they had just been entertained by a major star!
I was the only person on the floor filming Adam, and after 2,718 views in only about 3 hours the next morning, Viacom pulled the video. Adam has just tweeted what must be an approved version. You’ll see my turquoise arms holding the camera several times in this video! Lila’s in white, next to me. So ladies and gentlemen, get ready to get down and get funky!! You can watch the whole evening on LOGO, Monday, April 9th at 10 PM PT, repeating many times.

Have you been watching all the hosting and interview bits Adam Lambert has been doing lately on VH1, Fuse and Logo? Have you noticed that he’s worn the same zipper-adorned jacket, jewelry, pants and boots in everything? I think he changed his shirt to a striped one for one of the shows. All these Top 20, Sexy Beats and Ten on Top interviews must have been done on the same day! He’ll be back on Fuse with more Sexy Beats on Thursday, so let’s see what he wears.
Now, he’s done another piece with VH1, but this time we get the full run-down on his fabulous fashion. I love that he’s avant-garde yet still sensible, wearing the striking coat from the EMAs/Queen performance in his Better Than I Know Myself video too!
Feast on!

Adam Lambert is continuing on his World Domination Promo Tour. He just landed in Finland yesterday. Well, it was more like 2 days ago considering the time zone differences, but for what it’s worth, it was May 1 on the calendar! He must be finding the Finns (edited, thanks FinnFan!) very beautiful, with amazing eyes. Both Adam and Tommy are tweeting about that! He gave another amazing performance of Whattaya Want From Me? on Finland’s X-Factor and lent some valuable advice for reality show contestants. Gosh, he ought to be going down in some record book for giving the largest number of different performances of the same song. And they’re ALL beautiful! I can’t wait to see him in his new hat! I wonder what it looks like?!?

Happy Monday everyone!! If you weren’t having a good day, hopefully you will now. Here is a morning show interview with Adam and GMTV. To me, he is looking classically stunning.
There are two videos featured. The first video is the actual interview where Adam seems so relaxed and happy to be there. His look is simple, yet gorgeous. Great way to start out the day…
In the second video he performs (with dancers and no band) For Your Entertainment.

May I just say how PROUD I am of OUR American Idol, Adam Lambert? Last night went way beyond what I had imagined him doing on that show. As they were showing the clip leading in, did anyone else tear up when you heard the first notes of his song???
First of all, he was visually stunning, as always. The hair is one of my favorite styles on him, although if I had to name one I didn’t like I probably couldn’t. Was it just me, or did they give him a whole lotta face time?
Secondly, he was truly humbled by being chosen for this role which just shows how un-diva-ish he really is. He understood that although he is just starting out, he was THE go-to guy after being in that spot just a year ago. As WE all know, he was the one doing that EXACT same thing with the people he was competing against last year. It was only fitting that they allowed him to do it out in front of the cameras, for all to see his genuine, creative, and beautiful side. Not that he even owns an ugly side.
Lastly, watching the few Idols that actually listened to his advice was awesome, especially Tim. I think that there were only a few that decided to listen to him, and Tim was the one that nailed it. Tim isn’t the greatest of singers to start with, but look what happens when you take someone with God-given talent and know-how, and combine him with a young and eager listener that is willing to learn… I thought it was great to see. I know Adam enjoyed Big Mike, and Lee was fantastic too, I thought. Watching Katie with him… how cute was that? She came out and sassed up the place!
Plus, the best part? TONIGHT!!! I am very thankful for TWO days in a row of Mr. Adam Lambert. I am off to get some stuff done so that I can clear my schedule for it…

~No matter how old you are, no matter who you sleep with, no matter what color your skin is, we can all party together.” - Adam Lambert
What more is there really to say? I saw this quote and it made me think about how lucky we ALL are to have Adam in our world.
So, just for fun, here is MY favorite video of Adam singing “If I had You” on The Oprah Show. Why, you ask? Why not, and I am pretty sure we ALL wish we could have him so… it just seemed fitting.

Just a head’s up: Adam’s beautiful VH1 Unplugged songs will start airing on TV beginning Friday, April 9, 11 PM Pacific. They will replay Saturday morning at 2:30 AM, and I’m sure multiple times over and over.
So, while there are some lucky Glambs seeing Adam LIVE in Canada Friday night, the rest of us will have to settle for this. Not too bad, in my opinion!
What’s that I hear? Is it the sound of all the DVRs/VHS machines being programmed?? LOL!!!
Check here for all the video versions.

It might have been a hint already, seeing as Adam was featured in the latest issue of Rolling Stone, in which he commented on some of the Grammy nominees (obviously flailing over Lady Gaga and Beyonce again):

And on Ryan’s radio show, Adam already gave away that it was ‘very likely’ that he would do the red carpet coverage for the Grammys; but since nothing was confirmed yet he couldn’t give the details, to Ryan’s chagrin. Now, however, Adam took his twitter to tell the world - in his completely own style - what he was going to do for the Grammys:
First, he tweeted “More good news: I will be Entertainment Weekly’s Red Carpet Coorespondant for the GRAMMYS! “Who are you wearing?!” ”
Then he obviously caught (or was made aware by a dozen twats) his latest word invention: “Correspondent. Spelling. My specialty.”
After which he realized yet another, probably even more drastic, mistake in his first tweet: “Shoot! Entertainment TONIGHT! not weekly. Hahah post-nap haze got me all stupid.”
It did already sound a bit weird, doing the Grammys coverage for EW. But in the end, the big word came out: Adam will be interviewing the celebs at the Grammys for Entertainment Tonight! Sounds like a really nice gig for him, and just imagine how awesome it would be if he would get to interview Lady Gaga on the red carpet?!
EDIT: Sorry folks, this turned out to be a rumor. Adam tweeted around 8 PM PST last night: Glee guest star rumor: it’s a rumor. Sorry guys.
Never trust the National Enquirer Kellie!!
***************************************************************
One of the hot rumors flying back and forth on the chats has been about Adam appearing on Glee. Here’s the first word of any confirmation about it. The reporter here is using the National Enquirer as her source.
Kellie Rasberry, reporting on the Kidd Kraddick In the Morning Show, says that Adam will play a mentor for Kurt, the gay character. I can only imagine the positive impact this could have for everyone. By being the first performer to be completely out-of-the-closet from the beginning of his career, Adam has already begun to change the tone of America.
The Glee episode is not scheduled to air until after the next American Idol season ends, which is in May.
Thank you so much to Fernando for starting this story! Okay AdamFans, please forgive the time lapse in the follow-up on it. With out-of-town visitors, parental surgery, and the holidays including my son’s day-after Christmas birthday, I let this go far too long.
As soon as we found out Adam was scheduled to be on Leno, four of us applied for tickets and miraculously 3 of us got them. Between us, we had 8 tickets to share with our friends and family to attend the taping. We started going through our address books and decided we only wanted true AdamFans to go, not just a relative who didn’t know much about Adam, if that’s even possible!
Of course we had to invite our web site owner Fernando, and I was so glad he was available. I hadn’t seen him since the Finale Watching Party that web site administrator Lila Hayes and I threw for the San Diego community at Seau’s, a local sports restaurant. Lila and I invited other friends and family who were already dedicated and our group of 8 was set.
Lila and I left around 8:30 AM from San Diego, stopping 3 times on our way up the coast picking up the rest of our group. In La Jolla we picked up Lila’s friend Osia, in Oceanside we got Sami, who we carpooled with to the high school on Homecoming Day, and in Irvine we got my sister Julie who had just driven out from Texas for the holidays.

If you’ve never been to a show taping before, there’s a tremendous amount of waiting. Even more if you want to be assured of a good seat! We arrived at Leno’s Burbank studios around 12:15 PM. Ticket holders had been instructed to arrive by 2:45 PM, for a 4 PM admittance. Admission wasn’t guaranteed, and we knew to get there early for good seats. There was an outdoor gathering area marked for the ticket holders, right off the sidewalk where there was limited free street parking. With our early arrival we got free parking. We were also fortunate because the weather was beautiful. A few days earlier Southern Cal was having upper 80 degee pre-Christmas weather, then some rain! But today was a calm 70s and clear.
Around 2:45 we were led to another outdoor sitting area, and welcomed by an NBC page to the Leno taping. She instructed us several times to use the porta-potties, because once we were inside, there would be no coming or going. She very nicely told us not to complain about any of our seats; “they’re free!” We were also told “no cameras – you will be ejected. No calling out during the monologue or during the guest appearance – it’s rude and will be edited out.” So no inviting Adam out to party!
We went inside to the studio in small groups so we could be seated by the ushers. There were 3 rows of chairs on the floor, and several sections that were about 20 rows high. Most of the rows in the section that was in front of where Jay and his guest sit had seats taped off with names on them. A few seats in each of these rows was available and our group of 8 was split into 3 of those rows. I was in the first row off the floor, directly in front of the guest’s chair. We were hoping that Adam would get to talk with Jay, not just perform, as he’d done on Letterman. If so, he was about 20 feet away from me! I wished I could take pictures! I sat with my friend Glenda and her friend Diana, who came up from Palm Springs and Los Angeles. I was next to where the taped off seats for our row began. I wondered who I’d be sitting next to? Lila and Osia were one row up from us, and Sami, Fernando and Julie were in the next row.
Around 4:15 PM, the VIPs were escorted to the taped off seats. When Adam’s mother Leila entered with some friends, they were led up the stairs next to my section. What if I got to sit next to her?? But they went up about 10 more rows. I imagine that she requested to sit up that high, and not be down at the stage. As soon as she sat down, I looked up and all the heads in our section were turning back and forth talking excitedly. I can only imagine how many tweets were sent!
The VIP seat next to my sister was taken by a familiar-looking guy who none of us could place, sorry! He was tattooed, had scruffy long blond hair and looked like a heavy-metal rocker. He was with his wife and an older man, probably a parent. The VIP seats next to me were taken by some people none of us recognized.
When all seats were filled, a comedian came out and started warming us up, testing our laughter levels, applause levels, and basically instructed us how to have a good time for the benefit of the sound engineers. He did some funny routines but we were all glazed over, just waiting for the show to start and the chance to see Adam and hear him sing. He told us to turn to the person next to us and hit their arm. The metal rocker dude next to my sister did just that, smacking her pretty hard. He immediately turned to her and apologized. She asked him if she should know who he was, and he kind of said yes, but he wanted to stay low-key. He was there with his wife because she was a huge Adam fan! So she never found out who he was.
During a break, I gathered my courage and went up to Leila, hoping I wouldn’t be thrown out! I introduced myself as an author from this web site, gave her one of our Glambs business cards with my contact info, and told her we’d love to do an interview with her. She smiled and said that would be fun, but didn’t give me any contact info for her! I thanked her for having such a wonderful son who is bringing so much enjoyment to so many people. She seemed really taken by that, and we shook hands and I retook my seat.
Next Jay came out and welcomed us, dressed in jeans and a denim shirt. He told us that this would be filmed in “real time,” and there would be no take-overs or edits, unless necessary. Even though we knew we weren’t getting an encore of the AMA performance, we wondered how toned down Adam would be! Jay made a fuss over an audience member who was celebrating her 19th birthday with some college friends and they took pictures. He then went backstage to change and his band came out and started to play.
From the video, you can see how the rest of the taping went. Since this was filmed in real time, the band played throughout all the commercial breaks. They sounded great and the lead singer is a very talented woman. She went into the audience pulling members up to sing into the microphone. When she came up the aisle next to me, they were doing an older song that I knew by heart and was singing. She pulled me up and gave me the microphone, and somehow I remembered all the words and even sounded on key! For the life of me, I can’t remember what song it was, and neither can anyone from our group! Fernando, can you help? I’m sure this will be the closest to singing with Adam that I will ever come. At least we shared the same air!
Jay seemed very interested in talking to Adam, reaching over and touching his leg or arm several times. I think that Adam is a dream guest. He is a great conversationalist and is very at-ease on camera. His “safe plucking” comment was very quick and got a big laugh from Jay! One very interesting note to point out, when they were talking about the 2 rumors Adam wanted to dispel, Adam couldn’t remember what the second one was, and asked for help. An assistant came up behind him and said “your father” loud enough for us all to hear. From there, Adam went on and quashed the rumor about his dad being upset about his AMA performance. But you’ll never see that part. It was edited out, and you’ll just see a scene break at 6:59 going from rumor one to rumor two. From now on, when we see a scene break on future shows, we’ll know that there was an edit.
Then it was a commercial break and Adam would sing next. We were all so excited. We couldn’t imagine him singing without his band, but none of the instruments were set up. Then a screen to the left of where Adam and Jay talked lifted and we saw Adam’s band. Phew! The set started filling with fog, the lights went down and then Adam was on! He and the band sounded great. It’s different than when he performed on the Idol Tour. He’s his own performer now. He looked right at the audience most of the time while he was singing and Sami thought he was looking at our group because we were all mouthing the words! I’ll go with it!
During Adam’s performance, Jay was standing at the edge of the set, moving his legs back and forth to the music, keeping his eyes intently on Adam and the band. We’ve all seen Adam and Tommy Joe go back to back in other performances, and I was so happy to see him do it here too. But during that part of the playback, the camera is focused on Lisa and her keyboard. You really have to look to see Adam and Tommy Joe, and you only get a brief moment of it at 2:48. Was this intentional?
They went to commercial, and Adam and his band went back stage. The warm-up comedian was right in front of me, so I gave him one of our Glambs business cards and asked that he give it to Adam. He said he would. I have no idea whether it happened, but it can’t happen if I don’t try!
Next was the Mrs. Claus skit. If you ask me, it was pretty “dirty,” talking about Santa’s “fat ass” and what it was like to be underneath him, and how she’d “had the elves up to here.” Graphic: her hand was waist high, insinuating oral sex, but since this was hetero, I guess it was okay.
Then it was over and we exited the studio, all feeling so grateful to have been there that day. Not knowing the area, we searched the GPS for restaurants and picked Michael’s Bar & Grill, close by.
We were giddy (and starving!) from the entire day’s experiences, grateful we had shared a day of Adam’s life with each other. We can’t wait for the tour, and for when we get to hear and see Adam again! I hope that you all get to have an experience like this for yourself too!

Even though he isn’t scheduled to appear as a guest/performer until December 21, last night’s Leno already provided a dose of Adam! In a little segment towards the end of the show, Owen Benjamin was fumbling around with a mistletoe and proclaiming that he would ‘kiss the first person coming around the corner!’. Which, of course, happened to be dearest Adam - and to see how it ended, watch the video! He’s such a great actor, needs to do something with that talent as well! Movie, anyone?!
Adam seems to be very loved by Jay Leno already; apart from constantly being featured in his monologues (”The paper said today that they were shocked that Adam Lambert kissed a man. Anyone surprised by that? I’m not. If he would have kissed a girl, I’d be stunned!” - after the AMAs, one of the many shoutouts Adam’s received from his show); Jay even went as far as dressing up in the costume Adam wore during the AI finals while performing with Kiss! Should make for a very entertaining episode next monday, all tune in to watch our Adam! (NBC at 10/9c). Watch the snippet from Jay Leno in which he tries on Adam’s costume below.
Last night, after SYTYCD, Adam made another appearance - on E!’s Chelsea Lately. An early commercial had host Chelsea Handler calling Adam ‘a woman’, and she promptly went on to introduce him as ‘the gayest thing to come out of American Idol since Clay Aiken’.. and the first questions dealt with Adam’s redheaded-ness and his weight. Perfectly cliché, hopes for good Adam moments weren’t high at that point.
However, Adam seemed to have a good time dealing with Chelsea’s sarcasm and quick wit - actually added in his own twist when the host invited him to come on her show whenever he felt the need to relive the AMA performance. She brought out a gay staff member who’d be happy to participate - after which Adam swiftly replied ‘Yeah, all gays like all gays, so you know.. Every man is attractive to every gay man, so it should work out!’. Touché. And an extra plus, he looked gorgeous as always!
From there, the conversation covered the album cover, Lady Gaga (He’s turning into her spokesperson. Seriously.), Madonna (’we had a mutual friend who introduced us..’ Chelsea: ‘Lourdes?’), and what is probably a first for him on television, Adam feeling comfortable enough to discuss drugs - particularly his acid-tripping that led to him auditioning for Idol; yet casually steering away from the topic: ‘Protect the children!’
Overall, he seemed to have a good time, his infectious laughter and giggling apparent throughout the interview. And obviously, Chelsea was smitten with him!

Well, WE all know he is fascinating (and about a 1,000 other adjectives)…but somehow when Barbara Walters says it, it has more clout! Walters says she chose Adam because he was a “prominent name” in the entertainment industry, and he is “rather fond of the shock factor” when he performs. Uh….yeah! The Barbara Walters Special airs December 9th on ABC. (Don’t worry ABC, Adam’s not performing, and I doubt he is going to grab Barbara for a lip-lock!) Dana, Glamb #6

ARTICLE:
As the year comes to a close, Barbara Walters has selected her choices for her “Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009.”
And politician Sarah Palin, songstress Lady GaGa, and newcomer Adam Lambert have all made the cut for this year’s show.
According to Walters, GaGa and Lambert were chosen because they’re two of the most prominent names in entertainment- and they’re both rather fond of the shock factor when they perform.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Palin has made quite a name for herself over the past year with her political career as well as becoming a bestselling author. The Barbara Walters special airs December 9th at 10pm EST on ABC.

Adam appears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this Tuesday, with a dicussion covering everything from the AMA’s to his brand new album. It seems that most interviews are covering the AMA topic but consider it’s only been just over a week since Adam Lambert shocked the world with his racy performance at the 2009 American Music Awards.

Adam Lambert visits the Regis and Kelly Show today.
Medicine for your withdrawals.
The crowd goes crazy when Adam shows up. Everyone loves Adam. Watch it here in High Quality, GREAT interview. Once again, I’m adamazed on how articulatr and how much connection he usually has with the interviewers. They talk about his experience, his background, his family, and his perspective on American Idol.
The best part is talking about that this was not to him a ‘competition’ but a platform where he was competing with himself. Watch below:
Interview:
Performing Mad World:
Mad World is one of those songs that has the ‘initial’ shock value but afterwards it becomes repetitive. The lyrics are so meaningful, powerful and unfortunately real to some people that you can only listen to it so much or it becomes almost… depressing. I really think Adam needs to perform ‘Change is Gonna Come,’ ‘Tracks of my Tears,’ or even ‘Whole Lotta Love.’
Adam are you reading this bro?
Anyways, who cares what I think, we want to know what do YOU think? Comment below.
Video of Adam singing Mad World in New York City at the CBS Early Show at 59th/5th avenue on May 26th, 2009. He was singing under freezing conditions with a lot of wind and of course he sounded just as good as every other performance. A lot more coming so stay tuned guys!!
