Adam Lambert is taking over the lead role in Cabaret on Broadway! His run will start at the August Wilson Theatre in New York, September 16 and go through March 30, 2025.
Adam will play the Emcee of the Kit Kat Club. The role is “a central figure in the show, entertaining the audience with songs, banter, and other acts,” according to the AI Overview. The play is set in Berlin during the 1930s. This will be a rewarding challenge for Adam, as Emcee speaks with a German accent and may also sing in German.
The role was originated by Joel Grey, to rave reviews in 1966. The female lead of Sally Bowles is also being replaced by Auli’i Cravalho for the same dates. They are taking over for Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin.
Congratulations to Adam for adding yet another accomplishment to his incredible résumé! Tickets are currently available for all of Adam’s performances at Broadway.com. Book your flights, rooms and get your tickets. The theatre seats 1,275.
I guess this means no Halloween concert in Vegas this year, LOL!
