Adam Lambert’s Hollywood Hills home was among several celebrity’s homes hit by a very sophisticated real estate scam during 2017-2018. Some of the other celebrities included in this heist are Usher, Jason Derulo, Real Housewife of Beverly Hills’ Dorit Kemsley and actress Rebecca Hutton.
We don’t know yet what was taken from Adam’s home (he’s kept pretty quiet about this!) but the list of items from all the burglaries includes art, jewelry, clothing, shoes, electronics, sports memorabilia, fine wine and purses. The suspect had an elaborate plan of posing as a prospective home buyer or realtor and scouted homes in several Los Angeles high-end areas during Open Houses or on appointments made to view homes for sale. More than 2,000 items were taken.
LA Police revealed that Benjamin Eitan Ackerman was arrested on September 20, 2018 after a search at his home and storage unit turned up hundreds of the items. The 32-year old was released 4 days later on $1 million bond and has not been charged yet.
We hope all those hit by this are able to have their items returned and have dealt with all the emotion involved with this crime. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

That totally sucks! I’m so glad they found the guy.
With tour schedules being public info, it’s easy to know when celebrities are away. But didn’t alarm systems notify security when they were being tampered with? And they must have scouted the houses after the Open House to make sure people weren’t staying in them as house sitters.
