I don’t know if you’ve heard about this one yet. There’s an attorney in Huntington Beach, California, about 40 miles south of Adam’s home, who feels being gay should be illegal and should be executed, and is seeking ballot referendum to place it up for election. I know – disgusting.
I just had to throw this in from @RandyRainbow! I think it’s bizarre that Indiana was Adam’s birth state and now a kook in California is coming up with this one.
He’s calling the proposal the “Sodomite Suppression Act.” I’ve been playing with the idea of posting this for a few weeks, wondering if it was site appropriate. I finally figured since so much is always talked about Adam Lambert being gay, this was relevant. The idea is absolutely disgusting and will never pass. A California lawyer wants a ballot initiative to require the execution of gay people

A lawyer in California has proposed that being gay be a capital crime and that citizens be allowed to kill gay people if the state does not put them to death. The lawyer, Matt McLaughlin of Huntington Beach, will likely soon be allowed to start gathering signatures to put his proposal on the ballot.
The proposal, called the “Sodomite Suppression Act,” won’t become law. It’s hard to imagine the idea would the garner the required signatures to make it onto the ballot. Even if it did, voters wouldn’t approve it, and they wouldn’t have a chance to if the state Supreme Court found that it contradicted California’s constitution. And since the law violates the federal Constitution as well, any federal court would be obliged to strike it down.

I have to wonder what people like this have in their hearts and minds. Why would you be so afraid that you want to kill all gays? I understand that there are crazies out there but I just can’t begin to image carrying this kind of hate and fear around. Sick, sick, sick.
Everyone thinks that Calif if a very liberal state. It isn’t. Only the major cities along the coast are liberal. The rest of the state (geographically the largest percentage) is the most conservative in the country. This is why we can’t let Ca divide into two states.
I think it’s about time we had a law executing people who judge others for any reason, man would there be a heap of bodies to get rid of, starting with this fool. Stupidity tries to rule, we CANNOT let it. Rita Norton
Most lawyers are hated! Does anyone wonder why?? I love Adam Lambert. Always have. And always will. He would have won over Chris Allen. But they cheated. It is a known fact! It was on the news here where I live .It was on Fox network news. Also in the local news paper. But guess who has the most millions of dollars? Our beloved Adam Lambert!!! Love you Adam.
