@adamlambert is nominated in two categories – Best Male Artist and Entertainer of the Year for the World Music Awards, to be held on December 22, 2012 in Miami at The Marlins Park. This is an International Music Awards Ceremony honoring the World’s Best-Selling Recording-Artists, chosen by the fans.
The World Music Awards is an international awards show founded in 1989 that annually honors recording artists based on worldwide sales figures provided by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). The awards show is conducted under the patronage of His Serene Highness Albert II, The Prince of Monaco. All the proceeds from the show go to the Monaco Aide and Presence Foundation, which assists underdeveloped areas mainly in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Brazil.

In addition to the standard categories, special recognitions have also been a part of the WMA history. One of them is the Chopard Diamond World Music Award, created in 2001, given to artists who have sold over 100 million albums in their careers. It is not presented every year. To date only six artists have won this award: Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson and The Beatles. The most WMAS overall have gone to Mariah Carey (17) and Michael Jackson (16).
This show has traditionally been held in Monaco. It left for the USA in 2004 and 2005, and was held in Europe in 2006 and 2007. It found its way back to Monaco in 2008 – 2010, wasn’t held in 2011, and this year is again in the USA at Miami’s Marlins Park.
Adam’s schedule is open, but there is no official word on celebrity attendance or who will be performing. Tickets are available at the WMA site.

The website really has a problem. That kept happening to me too and then I waited a while and it worked. After you vote you will get a page that thanks you for your vote.
I don’t know. When I vote, it says thank you for your vote. But then I vote again and it still says thank you, not you’ve already voted. I’d like to think it’s just an unsophisticated voting system, and that only 1 vote counts. That way, I don’t have to feel guilty about not sitting on my computer for hours!
