The Soundbath Introduces Adam Lambert on UK Radio!

adam lambert Pictures, Images and Photos

This five-part audio-only series from The Soundbath delves into the operatic and superior vocal quality of Adam Lambert’s voice. Angelina, the woman on this series, may only be talking about the technical aspects of Adam’s voice and performance, but it is so clear that she is a fan. She attended three of the Glam Nation concerts, even flying to New Orleans for her first!

Did any of us know (at least those who aren’t British!) that Adam’s music isn’t played on UK radio? According to comments on Part 1 of the following series, we learn that this is the case. How can this be?? Even after his concerts across the Atlantic, is this still true? British fans, continue to request him at your stations!

Thank you so much to my dear friend Mary (aka @glitzylady on Twitter and Mary at the Lake on this site) for sending me this wonderful series!

Part One will start with the playing of Come To Me from Brigadoon and discussion about his early career. She then goes on with her background, but only to state her qualification to discuss him in the classical sense. She quickly moves onto present-day Adam. I’ve included all five parts, but the last part doesn’t involve any discussion about Adam.

*Warning: After clicking on the “play” button, you’ll have to continue to YouTube to continue. But keep coming back here for the rest in the series. They don’t automatically appear on YouTube!

Love ya!

Part 1 (talk about Adam begins at :32)

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

This last part doesn’t contain any discussion about Adam, but is still very interesting for music buffs!

About Carol

I started writing on this site back in May 2009, not knowing what I was in for or where it would take me. I had no idea of the joy and personal satisfaction I'd find here. I never dreamed that I'd get to meet Adam, but that dream came true! The bonus of becoming such great friends with Lila and the other fans is what keeps me going. Music gets me though every day. In addition to Adam, I love Muse, Linkin Park, 80s and finding newer bands and supporting them by attending everything that's within 350 miles. With Adam, the boundaries are farther! Thanks for joining us on this ride! :)

  1. Mary at the Lake says:

Thanks Carol, for posting this! I love the fact that the host, Angelina Kalahari, is not only a classically trained operatic singer herself, but a truly dedicated Adam Lambert fan, like the rest of us! It is so strange that the UK radio stations have not been good about playing Adam’s music on the radio…I know that it is beyond frustrating to fans in the UK..But thanks to friends like Suz526 and others who are so dedicated to helping Adam get his music out there for the world to hear (and see!!), its only a matter of time before the UK is properly introduced to Adam…one fan at a time! This program is a step in the right direction and fun for us to hear as well.. His next album should do the trick, I would think!

And Carol, thanks too for posting this picture of Adam in his kilt with its fierce “spiky sporran”! I love men in kilts! Especially this one! ; )

    • Hi Mary!
I figured since there weren’t any picutres of him on the video, I had to have something for us to look at! So when I did a search of pictures, figured this one fit perfectly. Thanks again for passing these audio clips on to me!
      Love ya,

  2. Carol, thank you so much for delivering the Angelina’s program to us! Otherwise I would never get a chance to enjoy this professional view of Adam’s talant.

I thought “Thanks God, finally there’s somebody who is not into gossips and superficial judgement, but reveals the real knowledge of vocal art”.

As to Angelina, I consider her not just the Adam’s fan but a connoisseur, though as myself, imho – :o)

I trust her opinion because the tenor voices she admired are also on my favorite list. My mom was lucky to listen to Mario Lanza when he came to Moscow, in the 50s. I was lucky to listen to gorgeous Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti, live.

That’s why her view is so important for me.

Again, thank you Carol – you made my morning!

  3. I haven’t heard such a eloquent description of the idol I felt so strongly about.
You managed to put my feelings to words about this amazing talent . Anyone
that appreciates music will agree with every word you so beautifully phased .
I hope his popularity will continue to grow. Music today needs a shot in the arm !!

  4. Carol, thanks so much for posting this great program! It is still being played each evening at 10:00p.m., UK time, at . The program first aired on April 12, and will run through April 18, 2011. Also, after Angelina’s program is over, the station plays about 45 minutes of FYE, including Voodoo and Can’t Let You Go.
So, with the music that Angelina plays on her program, plus the music played following it, UK listerners are getting over an hour of Adam’s music!
There is also an upload link, thanks to devenlane, it is:

    Thanks again for posting this!

    • Wonderful! Thanks for updating us on Adam’s airplay. I’m so glad to hear he’s on British air. Hopefully he’ll break into mainstream radio. Keep us posted!

  5. I’m spreading the word…..with this website. I want everyone to hear exactly why I love this man and his angelic voice.
Thank you for bringing this to us

  6. i am so very gratified that someone is taking this in their own hands. You are helping people find
the music of this once in a generation talent. He is so talented that it is difficult to give proper praise
to him. He is as you have so brilliantly stated incomparable in his instrument. I cannot think of a
single singer these days that compares to him. He can literally sing the phone book and do it in
twenty different ways, each one exciting and different. I love his talent above all else. I also went to
several of his concerts last summer, flying from oregon to ohio to hear one.

  7. Glamity58 says:

Thanks Carol. I have listened to all five parts of the radio show. It was awesome. I have talked with Angelina on-line since I have a degree in music and she has so much knowledge about the human voice. I appreciate her support of him. He should be bigger than some of the mainstream pop stars like Bieber, Perry, Spears, GaGa (although she is really talented). After he lost Idol I was just hoping for a lead in a Broadway musical. America has horrible taste in music and I didn’t expect much. But we got so much more than a lead in a musical including international exposure. I hope the ride doesn’t end anytime soon. It’s hard to keep up in the music industry. We need to keep supporting him and his music.

    LET’S DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Thank you so much for this. I have often compared Adam’s voice to Mario Lanza – he is himself, of course, as Angelina points out, and needs no historical reference – he is a truly blessed talent and a beautiful person. He makes me so glad to be alive at this time in history.

I’m sending this to my classical music friends – it’s nice to be validated by an expert ( and one with a British accent.)

  10. Somehow I only now realized that my programme from April was posted here – how wonderful that you guys liked it and that it was shared here. I must confess that it was never intended for Adam’s fans, but rather to introduce him to a wider audience in the UK and it is therefore a wonderful surprise that his fans took note of the programme as well.

Thank you so much for posting it here, Carol and thank you to everyone who left such lovely comments.

Yes, Adam is truly a one-off and now, after his recent performance with Queen, the UK seems finally to recognize what his fans knew from the beginning – that we have a brand new mega-star in the world! Can’t wait for the storm that’s gathering about the new album!
