Read This NOW! Glambs Teaming Up With Adam!!

Adam Donor Page

We are excited to announce that Glambs International has been selected to participate in the “Lambert Loves Learning” challenge. We will be teaming up with Adam to support public school classrooms via Adam recently asked folks on to give to in lieu of gifts or other cards to him. This has been so successful that the challenge will now include a competition for the most generous Fan Group. And that’s Glambs International, right?!? We have one month to raise the most funds for public schools and we are in direct competition with other Lambert Fan groups. If we are the most generous group we will host an exclusive, members only, private online interview with Adam himself—with Q&A from you!

So we need your support. We are asking every Glamb (numbered or not!) and every reader on this fan site, to make a contribution through our Fan Page  to one of the classroom projects chosen by Adam on  Because this is for the kids, any donation size is welcome. This donation will go directly to local low-income classroom projects. I also encourage you to pass this note on to other Fans of Adam—or folks who care about supporting education. Be sure to visit our Fan Group Giving Page; which is unique to others in the challenge to make a donation.

We depend on word-of-mouth publicity, so please forward this article to anyone who might be interested in donating.

Thanks for helping our group to help Adam!

About Carol

I started writing on this site back in May 2009, not knowing what I was in for or where it would take me. I had no idea of the joy and personal satisfaction I'd find here. I never dreamed that I'd get to meet Adam, but that dream came true! The bonus of becoming such great friends with Lila and the other fans is what keeps me going. Music gets me though every day. In addition to Adam, I love Muse, Linkin Park, 80s and finding newer bands and supporting them by attending everything that's within 350 miles. With Adam, the boundaries are farther! Thanks for joining us on this ride! :)

  1. Am I the first? I just made my donation. Now I must get some other friends involved. C’mon fellow Glambs , let’s get Adam to talk with us and help the kids learn as well!!

  2. I was wondering if the Glambs were going to get involved with this project…so happy we are!! Just made my donation. I know we can win this one guys so lets all give. What a great contest…we get to help out kids and maybe even get some Adam time out of it!!

  3. Great idea! Just another reason to love our Adam! He has such a generous spirit, is so level-headed, sensitive and sensible. He has said for some time now that he didn’t want his fans spending their money on gifts for him but would prefer to see us giving to those who are truly in need. His latest tweets have been saying this as well as he tells us about causes he supports. And what could be better than supporting kids in getting a good education?

I am making a donation today and wouldn’t it be AMAZING for us Glambs to spend some exclusive time with him! This is a no-brainer!

  4. I will post this link on a couple of different sites if that is okay! 🙂 I donated as well!

  5. Hey, y’all!

I made a donation this morning too. I helped to purchase the book “Freckle Juice” for a school in Virginia. Not a musical category, but I was a lit major in college. Besides, Adam has freckles and I do too.

    • OH Linda, I remember that book so well, it was so funny! AT the time I was a special ed resource reading teacher and for kids reading below level it was fun for them to read.

    • Linda… I just gave to the freckle group also… lol I’m a redhead just like our Adam… although he is more of a strawberry blond. Every time I see his arms and all of his freckles, I smile. I also have two sons in their early thirties.. and they both have redhair and FRECKLES…. YEA FOR FRECKLES.. I love that Adam and I have something in common..

  6. I gave to the musical classroom the other day when Adam first asked on Twitter. Just like Adam to think of someone other than himself. That is another reason that we love Adam.

  7. I just donated! The one Wisconsin project was already completed, so I chose one of the Michigan projects since that’s where the rest of my family lives.

Yes, Manda and everyone else – please spread the word for everyone to donate via the link to the Glambs International page!

    • Done! Oh…Facebook too! When you donate, post it to Facebook and it will let everyone know you donated! Then they can check it out too!!

  8. I do’nt live in USA, but I am a strong believer in education, it gives a fantastic start to life to every child. I chose the Music education project, music can be used to act as a form of therapy, as a catalyst to learning, and as we can see from this site, it can be used to bring people together from all over the world.

    • So did I Toni, as there is a strong link between music and learning, especially mathematical thinking and when young brains are still forming, music is a fun way to grow mentally. In fact in N America parents are often introducing their little kids to music early for that reason. With all the budget cutbacks in Can. and the US, music is often the first program to ‘go’ so these donations will help.

  9. Done and doner. I gave to the Music Education project, too. I’ve donated in the past to this kind of thing – to keep music, art, and other fine arts in public school education.

Posted it on my Facebook page, as well. I have a ginormous amount of friends, and several work in the music industry in one capacity or another (one is a session recording artist – a bassist, another is a professional jazz and blues singer in NYC, another – my brother – plays lead guitar in a local band, writes and records his own music, and has had a CD professionally produced). There are also just a lot of caring souls with kids in the public school system who I think might also donate. We shall see…

  10. What a great project. I donated to Pitched Percussion Please. Lets get them the Boomwhackers
they want to teach music to the students. Music is therapy and so good for the soul. Lets get the world feelin good.

Mission accomplished! Found 2 projects I liked…one in my birth state of LA & another in current homestate, MS….Both worthy of our support, so gave to both (noticed that one of them was going to be “2x matched” by Bill & Melinda Gates org, too)…Thanks to Adam for giving us GLAMBS this opportunity to make a difference.

    • I also gave to La. project, I live in Baton Rouge and I know how much they need it. I will go back and give to your new home state of Mississippi. I travel Ar, Ms and La for my job so feel close to all. Although I’m still alittle mad at Ar !!

  20. Courtney (DSA) says:

Just donated my entire last paycheck. Only $100, but it’s something, right?

  21. DonnaNoble says:

Hey Courtney, $100 is great! I just donated $100 towards musical instruments for a kindergarten class not that I can really afford this but it’s important. Thanks to Adam for this challenge!

  22. I donated to the project that needed songbooks to help with literacy through music…I’m a reading teacher myself…go figure!!

I’m pacing myself though…I’ll do a little here and a little there.

Just please remember to donate through out fan club link in this post for it to count for our glambs fansite!

For those who donated for FreckleJuice, it’s a great story!

    • Oh Dana, a reading teacher. I was also for many years along with other special ed teaching. Which levels are you working with? WE must compare notes off site one day!

      Terry #349

      • Hi theresa…

I work with 3rd graders…all levels including those with English as a second language, sp. ed., gifted/talented, etc. It is a real challenge! Unfortunately, I have two overloaded classrooms this year for kids still so young. Not sure how I am going to be effective with all of them. Budget cuts probably won’t allow us to add a teacher… 🙁

  23. Evette #419 says:

I tried to donate but when I “checked out” I got an error message that there was a problem with the website. Now I’m not sure if my donation went through or not : (

  24. Evette #419 says:

Me again! Just got a receipt my donation went through 🙂

  25. Evette #419 says:

Had a thought this morning: Our Adam is changing the world!

  26. Joanne Strickland says:

I am a reader of your fan club and just made a donation. Wanted to know if readers can also participate in the live chat with Adam if this fan club wins the competition? If so, how will I find out about the details of the live chat event?

  27. Well. Thank you for posting. I was so overwhelmed reading the different projects. I actually funded a whole project. “Drama Queens and Kings” in rural Texas. Ha. I don’t even have a job right now and no incoming income. But I love the arts and this class of 5th graders is now going to get scripts to perform plays. And that’s good for my soul.
