**JUST RELEASED!!** AMA Rehearsal Video — Spontaneity Proved!!

This just in! Here is the never-before-seen rehearsal video from the infamous 2009 AMA Awards Show. I’m also including some additional footage that includes more casual scenes. The stylist speaking in this additional video states, “I will say Adam Lambert’s performance for the AMAs on Sunday will be an absolute spectacle and I’m sure people will be jaw dropping, in a very, very good way.” Little did he know how prophetic he was being! 🙂

For all the people who said Adam’s performance was planned, here you go. This video clearly shows the controversial moves weren’t choreographed. Without the distractions of the lighting and smoke added for the performance, we can concentrate more on the singing. I think it’s obvious that Adam put a tremendous amount of effort to this rehearsal, and it was masterful. Remember, this was before the Glam Nation Tour! We can see that this was an amazingly difficult routine to put on stage. The vocals are tough, the moves are tricky, and the sound from this theater is notoriously bad. I think Adam’s rehearsal was superb and the members in the audience really loved it too. But I sorta missed the Ninja roll! I’m not trying to bring up old news, but I thought you would love to see the rehearsal too. There’s something to be said about viewing a rehearsal, and I’ll leave it at that. 🙂

It was fun to see him when he walked by Tommy Joe Ratliffe, playing the keyboards. Wonder if he had any inclinations then? We see that Adam had briefly had his hand around the back of Tommy’s neck. Did Tommy do something at that moment that gave Adam the idea? We know what would come later that night – sort of premature voyeurism!! Interesting side note: here Tommy is singing backup into the microphone. Never saw that on Glam Nation Tour!

Hope you enjoy it!

Love ya!

About Carol

I started writing on this site back in May 2009, not knowing what I was in for or where it would take me. I had no idea of the joy and personal satisfaction I'd find here. I never dreamed that I'd get to meet Adam, but that dream came true! The bonus of becoming such great friends with Lila and the other fans is what keeps me going. Music gets me though every day. In addition to Adam, I love Muse, Linkin Park, 80s and finding newer bands and supporting them by attending everything that's within 350 miles. With Adam, the boundaries are farther! Thanks for joining us on this ride! :)

  1. Lila - Glamb #3 says:

Wow, the sound was really bad and were the backup singers not in the same key??? What a place to have a music award show!

Of course he’s still totally hot!!!

    • cmhagey says:

Did you like my dress rehearsal comment? It was totally for you!!

    • cmhagey says:

Maybe that’s why we never heard Tommy singing backup on the tour!!

      • cmhagey says:

Although Tommy wasn’t doing the main backup singing – I only saw him add an “oh” to the mix. The main backup singer was flat, unless it’s the acoustics.

  2. Ana Glam says:

The real show was so much better-er! Rehersal seemed very flat. Not the Adam & Co. we know. Personally, the spontaneity worked for me!

  3. LolaGlamb says:

I don’t care to see any of this dredged up again. It was over 2 years ago, and it was extremely detrimental to Adams career. Let it be.

    • Agreed!!! For me, it was painful to watch, even if it WAS just the rehearsal. I know I am the minority here, but I didn’t like the song OR the rehearsal OR the performance. Love Adam, but not a fan of For Your Entertainment in any fashion. Just sayin…….

  4. yaaay i love this show it’s really hot and sexy 😉 for your entertainment was so cool i love it

  5. Yeah the rehearsal was terrible vs. the one we saw on TV which was much more… entertaining 🙂

But look, at the end of the day, is not easy when you are on stage. I had a performance at the Roadhouse in Palm Springs last night and bottom line is you do your best and provide the best show you can and that’s what Adam does. Is not like he planned it all out to turn the way it did (which I personally thought it was great anyways)

  6. Minus the bad acoustics, I liked the performance and wished he would have stuck to it.

About the ninja roll, it wasn’t a ninja roll. He simply fell down.

  7. Can u image how nervous Adam was at that time?! Closing the show?! In my thought part of fault goes to Lady GAGA, after watching her performance Adam think that he has to do something extra to top that.

  8. Onegoodwoman says:

Regardless of how the GMA performance turned out, he is still loved and adored by many, including me. Adam has lots of devoted fans. I hope that he will have many more once his new album comes out. I can’t wait!

  9. ianaleah says:

too bad Adam changed it, cuz he lost millions and millions of fans and potential fans that night. And Adam deserves better, he is a magnificent singer.
