A lot of people already have as their top two finalist Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert. Will this competition come down to Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert or is it too soon to predict that?

Is Danny Gokey the David Archuleta of last season?

Who else is as talented as these two guys?

Watch out, Allison Iraheta actually has a very good shot. She already won a big hispanic idol contest hosted by Telemundo and she statistically has the biggest fan base (video below)

But honestly, like Simon told David last year after performing Eleanor Rigby: "If this contest remains a 'talent' competition rather than a 'popularity' competition, you could win this entire show."

Same goes for Adam.

i have to admit adam and danny are my faves.  but michael johns was one of my faves last year and looked what happened there!  so you can never tell.  i will certainly be more conscientious about voting this time.

I don't think people talking as if Adam is a shoo-in for the final and the title, as well as the many media articles stating the same, help at all.  It just makes supporters complacent and less likely to vote as much as they need to and is also likely to rally the supporters of other contestants to vote more for their favourite.
