I hope someone can answer some questions for me. I was on a crafters site last night (etsy.com) and one of the crafters is offering a wooden portrait of adam. Can you tell me
1. How in the world do you put a portrait on wood?
2. Will it fade?
3. They are asking $25 for it. Is this a fair price?
I would like to buy it but don't want to get ripped off

Post a link…I'd like to see it (not buy it). I have 2 businesses on Etsy myself…I can usually tell if something is "worth it!"
It might be burned into the wood, in which case it would be pretty permanent. If it is a really good piece of art work with with Adam's true likeness, $25 seems inexpensive to me.

do you know what it was painted with? If it is oil, then it should be pretty safe. It usually is mainly dependent on how the artist prepared the wood.

Hey, if it is on wood it should be fine depending on what process the person used. anything that seals the wood will be fine and if it an etching, as long as it is varnished you are good. I have painted on wood before and it is a stable support for artwork.
