Watching last nights show I was appalled by the results. I could not believe that a second rate singer would beat someone who is going to be legendary. I am talking about the complete fiasco of Kris who is nothing more than boring, beating Adam Lambert who I feel is the new KING of ROCK. I do not know what is wrong with the youth of America who obviously have no taste or knowledge of music what so ever. Kris should have never been in the final 3 let alone win and I am sure he feels the same way. He has no talent and should not be even in Adam Lambert's league. Last night Adam once again blew everyone off the stage even upstaging the other legendary performers. Even when he was singing a duet with Kris and Queen he blew him right out of the water. I do not think we will be hearing much from Kris but watch out America Here comes ADAM LAMBERT
:can anyone remember the winner 4 yrs ago Taylor Hicks. No but we all LOVE Doughty Like than AMERICA YOU GOT IT WRONG

America didn't do anything uexpected. THis season was a season filled with talent. But to say America got it wrong, is nothing more than short sighted thoughts.
Both of them are extremely talented in their own way. Adam by far from a theatrical aspect was the most talented ever stepping on to the A.I. stage. From the heart type of singing, Kris won that. I think Kara said it best, America was looking more for someone who inspired hope from the heart.
America didn't lose period, we won hands down just being able to discover the talent in both. And I would have to say Adam would probably agree with me.

I was really upset also. However, I did some research and found this website which may explain why things turned out the way they did. American Idol aught to take this into consideration.

Yes, American got it wrong…..way wrong.
However, I know that Adam has captured millions of fans through his AI exposure. He is the best thing to happen in the music world in a long time.
I was experiencing yet another serious family emergency last night (long distance - by phone) and, I have to say, watching Adam perform during the finale helped me get through it. He has a genuine, positive loving spirit, beautiful voice, and OWNS the stage. I was completely transported to Adam's world while waiting for news about my family member. Not many other performers could have done that. I was truly hurting, worried and distressed when the finale began. Adam gave me exactly what I needed, as if he knew.
Thank you, Adam. Be blessed and know that you have been given a special gift. I also think you are aware of your gift and feel like using it to reach out to wounded hearts.
I can honestly say that I love what you do on stage and fully appreciate your generosity of spirit. Sleep well, sweet soul.

I believe America should have made Adam an American Idol, but he's a rocker, and Kris is more country, so country people voted for Kris, and rocker people voted for Adam. Also, 38 million votes came out of Arkansas! That probably made it so he could win. Anyway, i'm getting off topic, so i'll just say i'm glad Adam came in second, because when he makes his first (of many) cd, he won't have to give a huge chunk of his money to Idol. And hes not owned by them as Kris now is. I love Adam with all my heart, and would have loved it if he won, but now i'm glad he came in second

I WAS SO DEVASTATED BY THE RESULTS. IT WAS ALL WRONG. BUT ADAM WILL BE THE INTERNATIONAL STAR. HE STILL DESERVED THE TITLE, BUT AT LEAST HE WON'T HAVE TO SING THAT CHEESY SONG THAT KARA CO WROTE. I CAN'T WAIT FOR HIS CD. IT WILL BE AWESOME.

Yep, USA got it very wrong. By far the more superior vocalist, Adam showed his versatility through the entire series 8; just unfortunate this wasn't appreciated in the final. Never mind Adam, I don't even remember Chris's surname and feel positive that, nice a guy as he is, he won't get anywhere or will be a "one hit wonder". Adam, on the other hand, can sing anything, wear anything, and take command of any stage he is on. Yes, please Brian May, please realise quickly you may just have found a replacement for Freddie; one I am sure Freddie would be thrilled about.
