I'm a 50something contemporary mom who somehow forgot her passion for music, a very joyous and important part of my younger life.

Since you began your journey with Idol, I have been a huge fan. I have downloaded all your songs, updated my IPOD and have found joy again in music - especially your music.

Your voice, your songs and performances made me "current" again bringing back that passion in my life. You have an incredible way of touching something deep within me and so many. You are haunting and compelling.

You didn't lose last night, not at all. You won a long time ago. I lost, and so did the many others who voted for you for hours, because we so passionately wanted to use your win as our way of saying thank you Adam. Thank you for being true to yourself, not trying to fit "the mold" and for bringing joy and excitement back to a sector of us who have mourned the loss of music running through our veins.

We will be with you all the way. You have given us our music back. You will truly be an icon of music and hopefully help to change this world through your songs. From the heart, thank you Adam.
