I’m not sure if anyone cares about this but I just wanted to let everyone know Adam has lost two big fans. When I found out Adam Lambert was coming to St. Pete for the Rays concert series my aunt and I were was ecstatic. However I didn’t have the money to get there. I was informed in addition to the $25 general admission fee I would have to pay the $20 fee to get a seat to the Rays game. Who cares about baseball? I want to see Adam! I saved up as much as I could doing little jobs around town before the concert and my aunt and I got the tickets. I looked forward to it for a full month until the day of the concert. We drove from Tampa to St. Pete hours before the game/concert because we wanted to meet Adam. We circled the stadium and as we came upon one of the entrances to the parking lot two huge buses pulled out in front of us. It must be Adam! I got out of the car with my camera while my aunt went to find a place to park since parking for the public wasn’t open yet. I chased the buses through the parking lot waving my arms hoping to get Adam’s attention. I was so happy. I knew I was going to meet Adam. All of a sudden the driver of the gold bus started honking at me. It was really loud. I ran farther away from the buses to get out of the man’s way. The buses parked and I came closer again. I guess the gold bus needed to be repositioned so he started moving again. I guess he still thought I was in his way so he started honking again. I got out of his way as he again parked the bus. Men got out of the buses to put metal gates around them for protection. I saw a man in a brown shirt passing out backstage passes to the crew. I told him I was there to meet Adam. He quickly told me it was impossible and walked away from me. He came by again and I asked him if there was anything I could do. He ignored me and kept walking. Why was he so rude? I wondered what Adam would think if he knew this man was being so rude to a fan. Just then the driver of the gold bus got out and started yelling at me. He asked me what I thought I was doing running after the bus since there are so many blind spots. I told him I was sorry. I didn’t know. He continued to scream at me. I walked away from him. I didn’t care. I was going to meet Adam. When the mean driver had walked away I approached a woman. I told her I was there to meet Adam and asked her if there was anything I could do to meet him. She told me he was working and walked away. Wow. A lot of Adam’s crew were mean but I knew he would stop. My aunt and a couple other fans walked up and I told them the whole story. Just then the door to the gold bus opened and Adam stepped out. HOLY CRAP! I started taking pictures. I was so happy. He was walking to his car. I asked him if I could have a picture. We (four fans) followed him to the car. He said he had a radio interview. The car sped away. That’s okay. He would be back. How long could a radio interview last? We waited and waited. Nothing happened during this time. Finally we see the car he left in pull around toward the buses. He got out. Again I asked him if I could have a picture. He said he was busy and got on the bus. Four fans. Four fans who only wanted a second of his time were ignored. Cast aside. Treated like nobody. He didn’t come back out. The concert was great but I couldn’t help but think during it why he couldn’t stop. Four fans would have taken him a minute of his time to please but he didn’t care. It ruined my concert experience. He didn’t care about us. To sum it up he has lost at least two big fans. I just thought I would share.
