Adam's performance on AMA awards was at 10:55p.m. Not affected by FCC
This info from the FCC website:
"The FCC has determined, with approval of the courts, that there is a reasonable risk that children will be in the audience from 6p.m. till 10p.m., local time. Therefore, the FCC prohibits station licensces from broadcasting indecent material during that period.
Material is indecent if, in context, it depicts or describes sexual or excretory organs or activities in terms patently offensive as measured by contemporary community standards for the broadcast medium…The 'safe harbor' refers to the time period between 10pm and 6am, local time. During this time period, a station may air indecent and/or profane material"
I am not saying Adam is indecent. I love him, I can't begin to tell you how much. And nothing in his performance was new and not seen before. Personally, I didn't like it, but I love the Official Music Video for the song. I think his CD is magnificant. I think he is a loving kind talented adorableness. I just wanted to share the FCC facts, because it actually defends 'our Adam".

If you read the FCC rules carefully, it specifies that it monitors television from 6am to 10pm local time, and unfortunately, it did air locally within that period for people in the Central Time Zone, which received the live feed simultaneously with the Eastern Time Zone as it was broadcast.

Has everyone forgotten about Madonna, Brittany and Christina french kissing on public TV? Face it, Adam Lambert is extraordinarily talented and somewhat flamboyant-that's just a small part of what makes him great. He may be receiving criticism at the moment, but HE WILL BE REMEMBERED. I'm one of those people who will never stop believing that no matter who you are, or where you come from, you should always remain true to yourself. Everyone knows Adam is over the top, and I for one thinks he should stay that way. Great performance, Adam. Keep it coming!
