Welcome to the Glam Nation tour where LOVE overcomes hate. I am not one to promote the hatred, and with these video clips I don’t have to. The overpowering signs of love far outweighed the hatred that was trying to be spewed…ROCK ON GLAM NATION!!

HELLO EVERYBODY!!! I HAVE MISSED YOU!!!
I was actually in California and Las Vegas to see the concerts in Costa Mesa, twice, and Las Vegas. I have been in withdrawals from posting though. As I sat down to start this post on Wednesday, my computer was attacked by a virus!!! I am now begging, borrowing, and even stealing time on other people’s computers in hopes to getting everything up to date… bear with me and as always…

ENJOY:

~adamlambert~Congrats on ur VMA noms @keshasuxx! Rockstar! Miss u!

article via: voices.washingtonpost.com
CELEBRITOLOGY 2.0
Was Adam Lambert snubbed by the MTV Video Music Award nominations?
The nominees for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards were announced earlier today and featured a record-setting number of nominations for Lady Gaga (13), as well as nods for Eminem (eight), Florence + The Machine (five) and Justin Bieber (one … wait, one? That kid’s getting his own 3D biopic and he gets just one measly nomination?).

Here’s who didn’t get nominated: Adam Lambert. Members of the former “American Idol” contender’s Glam Nation are ticked off that he didn’t get recognized in at least one category for videos like “If I Had You,” in which he sports a mullet ponytail while rocking out on what appears to be the set for the “Twilight” movies, accompanied by cast members from “Moulin Rouge” and “Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.” (I mean that as a compliment, by the way).

Of course, Lambert fans aren’t the only ones irked by the VMA nominations. Lovers of Rihanna (who received just one nomination), the Black Eyed Peas and Britney Spears are all voicing their objections in blog comments and on Twitter, where the hash tag #MTVFAIL is becoming more popular by the second.

Did MTV really mess up with this year’s nominations? Does it even matter? And most importantly, when will Kanye West Tweet about this pressing issue? (Could be a while. Dude’s on his way to Asia.)

Honestly, the VMAs are so ridiculous that it seems like a waste of energy to even bother getting upset by them. That being said, I have just one question: How on God’s green Earth did “My First Kiss” get nominated for anything? It looks like it was made in 1983. And no, I don’t mean that as a compliment.

Portland’s Glam Nation show was missing a very special part last night.
In the small video clip below, you will hear Adam explain to the crowd that Tommy was not there with them, because he had a family emergency to tend to. It has been said that Tommy’s father is very ill at this point, which led to Tommy boarding a plane and heading back to California to be with him.
Tommy is hoping to be back with Adam and the band by Friday’s San Francisco show, and we sincerely hope that all goes well enough for that to happen.
In the clip below, you will hear Adam say to keep Tommy Joe in your thoughts, that they are all missing him as much as the crowd was, and that they are sending him positive energy. I would like to request that we ALL do the same…
I know there are other cards on the web to sign for him, but I was thinking of having one from our specific site. What are your thoughts on that? Should we do that for him? Leave me your comments please!!

Oh by the way, I have also included a review as well as the video’s from last night. The vid’s are not that great, I am hoping for more…

Live Review: Adam Lambert, July 21 at Crystal Ballroom
VIA: http://blogs.wweek.com/music/2010/07/22/live-review-adam-lambert-july-21-at-crystal-ballroom/
July 22nd, 2010 [1:10PM] Posted by: JEFF ROSENBERG

BREAKING NEWS: Glambert is the real deal.

And not just because he introduced lasers to the Crystal Ballroom for the first time in memory last night. Because he’s a supremely confident performer who nonetheless projects a charming soupçon of humility onstage. Because his show is precisely ordered and choreographed, yet he still found time to get silly with his dancers and the audience. Because he doesn’t need to stick strictly to the melodies of his songs, but at the same time doesn’t get lost in a mist of melismas. Because he had the balls and taste to perform his hit single, “What Do You Want From Me”, in a stripped-down version accompanied only by acoustic guitar, and played his popular American Idol cover, “Mad World”, in a sped-up and funkier take than the one he did on the show. Because in his exotic recasting of “Ring of Fire”, the gay subtext gives the line “I went down, down, down” a sly new shade of meaning, and because he sings “I fell for you like a cheeeyiiild” with an Axl Rose inflection. Because his skills allow him to transcend sometimes mediocre material. Because his dancers, sets and lighting are beautifully campy without getting Gaga-diculous about it, especially on one number featuring a rear projection of a neon-colored skull in a style reminiscent of native art accompanied by skull-masked dancers (a troupe of four who performed intermittently throughout the night). Because even his in-ear monitors were bedecked with glitter. Because his tight band celebrates diversity with a woman keyboardist, dreadlocked African-American drummer, and, um, Jewish maybe? lead guitarist and musical director, who also happens to play guitar for Madonna (Lambert himself has a Jewish background, by the way; and the band’s bassist was absent on the night due to a family emergency, but wasn’t sorely missed musically). Because he drew a somewhat diverse crowd, if a bit heavy on Beaverton tweens and their soccer moms gleefully singing along to every word. Because his elastic voice requires no auto-tune, yet every run, scream, and growl stays precisely on pitch. Because he ended his show with “Whole Lotta Love,” substituting the gender-neutral “Baby, you need love” for “Woman….”

Because this culture hasn’t been able to tolerate a male glam superstar since Freddie Mercury died, and if someone’s gotta do the job, this good-natured up-and-comer might as well be it. No, of course, he’s no Freddie, nor, seemingly, much of a provocateur (despite kissing a dude at the American Music Awards). His 21st-century take on glam is tamer, less freaky and more squeaky-clean and readily marketable than the style’s past. But an openly gay, creatively open-minded, widely popular artist who can really sing is a very good thing, regardless of what “reality” he may have emerged from. Long may he reign.

Let us think back a little over a year ago, and who would have thought that Adam Lambert and his Glam Nation would take over the Ryman Auditorium??
Not even Adam himself would have believed it, but that is EXACTLY what happened last night in Nashville, Tennessee. I have given you guys some history behind the Ryman Auditorium, as well as some interviews and of course, the beloved videos!!
Take note in the “Performer’s” section that Adam is already listed, yayayayayay!

Due to the history of this theater, I pulled some wickipedia information to quench your curiosity:

The auditorium first opened as the Union Gospel Tabernacle in 1892. It was built by Thomas Ryman (1843–1904), a riverboat captain and Nashville businessman who owned several saloons. Ryman conceived of the auditorium as a tabernacle for the influential revivalist Samuel Porter Jones.[3] After Ryman’s death, the Tabernacle was renamed Ryman Auditorium in his honor. Famous builder “Mark Ludwig” designed the structure.

It was used for Grand Ole Opry broadcasts from 1943 until 1974, when the Opry built a larger venue just outside Nashville at the Opryland USA theme park. The Ryman then sat mostly vacant and fell into disrepair until 1992 when Emmylou Harris and her band, the Nash Ramblers, performed a series of concerts there (the results of which appeared on her album At the Ryman). The Harris concerts renewed interest in restoring the Ryman, and it was reopened as an intimate performance venue and museum in 1994. Audiences at the Ryman find themselves sitting in pews, the 1994 renovation notwithstanding. The seating is a reminder of the auditorium’s origins as a house of worship, hence giving it the nickname “The Mother Church of Country Music”.

The Ryman Auditorium was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, and was further designated a National Historic Landmark in 2001.[2][4]

Miscellaneous:
~The Ryman Auditorium was the venue for The Johnny Cash Show, which ran on the ABC network from 1969 to 1971.
~The Ryman Auditorium was named Pollstar Magazine’s National Theatre of the Year for both 2003 and 2004, beating out such venues as New York’s Radio City Music Hall and Hollywood’s Gibson Universal Amphitheater.
~Each dressing room behind the stage is dedicated to a legendary performer such as Johnny Cash and Minnie Pearl.
~The visitor tour claims that the Ryman Auditorium has been rated as having the second best acoustics in the world (after the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s home, the Salt Lake Tabernacle).
~When the Grand Ole Opry House opened in 1974, a circle approximately five feet in diameter was removed from the Ryman stage’s original floor and inlaid into the stage floor in the new Opry House where it remains today behind the lead singer’s microphone.
~The Grand Ole Opry currently returns to the Ryman Auditorium annually for a run from November through February.
~Because of the 2010 flooding of the Cumberland River that has rendered the current Grand Ole Opry House temporarily unusable, the Ryman Auditorium will be the primary venue for the Grand Ole Opry when it is available. [5] The Ryman Auditorium was unaffected by the flooding.

Performer’s:
Many country music greats have performed at the Ryman since its inception including the legendary Hank Williams, Bill Monroe, Jim Reeves, Roy Acuff, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette, Garth Brooks, Patsy Cline, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Emmylou Harris, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Reba McEntire, Conway Twitty, Dolly Parton, Marty Robbins, Ernest Tubb, Dottie West, Crystal Gayle, Gretchen Wilson, Willie Nelson, and The Judds.

Besides country, the venue also features alternative, bluegrass, blues, classical, gospel, jazz, pop, folk, and rock, as well as musical theatre and stand-up comedy shows.

Among the countless other artists who have performed on the Ryman stage are Tegan and Sara, Paramore, Cheap Trick, Seal, 70 Volt Parade, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Presley, The Black Crowes, Tallulah Bankhead, Ethel Barrymore, Sarah Bernhardt, Victor Borge, Jackson Browne, Ryan Adams, Damien Rice, Bright Eyes, Fanny Brice, James Brown, The Byrds, Neil Young, Enrico Caruso, Carol Channing, Charlie Chaplin, Kelly Clarkson, Neil Diamond, Ani DiFranco, Bob Dylan, Wilco, Elvis Costello, Oasis, R.E.M., The String Cheese Incident, O.A.R., Hootie & the Blowfish, W. C. Fields, Judy Garland, Betty Grable, Erasure, Helen Hayes, Interpol, Katharine Hepburn, Bob Hope, Anna Pavlova, Norah Jones, Garbage, ZZ Top, Matt Costa, Death Cab for Cutie, Tori Amos, Alanis Morissette, Van Morrison, Robert Plant, The Smashing Pumpkins, Nick Jonas & The Administration, The Strokes, Kings of Leon, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Modest Mouse, Belle & Sebastian, Sigur Rós, The New Pornographers, Regina Spektor, The Shins, Sufjan Stevens, Lou Reed, Wayne Newton, Eddie Vedder, B. B. King, Lyle Lovett, Erasure, Neko Case, The Avett Brothers, Adam Lambert, and Coldplay, who released a limited edition autographed poster from their performance there. On January 30, 2003, Patty Griffin recorded her live album A Kiss in Time at the Ryman Auditorium.

Not gonna lie, I am a fan of the glam. Maybe a lot more now that I just kicked it with Adam Lambert for a couple hours at work.

Glambert and I met on stage. The fireworks happened and the energy created was not like any other interview I’ve ever done.

We talked of all things Nashville, The Ryman, of course guyliner, his new tattoo he got in Atlanta, and we even busted out into some GaGa karaoke. Eventhough he was a little timid about singing.

Stalk the pics. Watch the video. Relive the excitment if you were there, and live it for the first time if you weren't. Whatever you do, just LIVE in the moment! Click here to see all--> 107.5 The River

I can honestly say that Adam has just taken over every inch of my heart, after I read this tweet from him last night.

@adamlambert~Tonights show was dedicated to Mary Lou Moscheo

For those that were not aware of the meaning behind that tweet, here is a message from a friend of mine on facebook:
**Adam Fans… Mary Lou Moscheo passed away last night (July 2, 2010) and everyone is tweeting to Adam to dedicate the show on the 7th that she was looking soooo forward to going too.. RIP Mary Lou.. you will be missed by many..**

Adam Lambert is a class act all around…

Glittery God’s, we bow down and thank you for you have sent us this beautiful and glittery creation that continuously blows our minds away night, after night, after night!! Last night was certainly no exception, as you will see in these fabulous videos from the beautiful, Tennessee Theater!!
I was lucky to get a phone call after the show from our very own site fans, Kymmie and Lyn, who were lucky enough to be at the show last night! We became friends after meeting up at the Fantasy Springs concert and now we can’t go a few days without touching base, so I was thrilled for them to FINALLY get to be going to this show. I knew what they were in for and couldn’t wait for them to finally experience it for themselves!!

They were up close and personal, and said that he was UN-believable!! Covered in head to toe with glitter and sparkles, he was absolutely gorgeous. I have asked them to send me pics if they would like, as well as their personal story too.

I am so happy that they called me to share their experience. As they were waiting outside for the buses, they were talking a mile a minute, and it was so fun to hear them chatting with the people around them. It was like I was there. The next thing I know, I hear them ask Longineu if he’d give a shout out to Sue, from adam-lambert.org!! Wait, WHAT??? Before I even know what is happening, I am on the phone with him and he is telling me how he wished I was there, and how the energy was so amazing!! I had seen on twitter that he had cut his hand, so I told him that I hoped it felt better soon. He was so cute and soft spoken talking about the show. At the end, I was telling him that I would be at the Costa Mesa and Vegas shows, so not to worry, I’d see him again soon. I am sure he wasn’t worried, lol. We said our good-bye’s and that was that, CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THAT?? Kymmie and Lyn, YOU ROCK!! You know that already though, right?

I then accompanied them, by phone, on their ride to their hotel and was treated to the entire night’s happenings along the way. Songs, details, and everything in between. Hopefully they will be up for sending us the whole story…
For now though, CHECK OUT THESE VIDEO’S, it’s amazing what a few days off will do…

Time sure flies on this Glam Nation tour, and yet it has taken me forever to get these pictures posted!! These are MY pictures that I took when we saw the Glam Nation tour in Hammond, Indiana on 06/17/2010!! Yes, it has been a few weeks…Whataya want from me?? Hee hee.

Not too much more to add since you have all seen the videos from that night on Carol’s post, right?? Were they not ridiculously awesome?? He was stellar, gorgeous, and to-die-for… what more is there really??

WAIT, I found someone that was literally right behind us so now you have our vantage point as well!! Thank you pillonk!!!!

Well, maybe a little info to go along with the pictures would be good…

As you will be able to see by the angle of my pictures, I was down the stage from Carol and her gang, to her right. The barricades were empty down there as we got in and that put us right in front of Tommy. Seeing as this concert was 21 and over, that meant my daughter Jess could not get in. Being in the front row was not something I wanted to do without her, but I figured that if I could score some great pictures, she would LOVE that. I did my best!
My friend, Jenny, and I were talking to the people around us and we befriended the two people to my right, Marti and Johnny. They were huge Adam fans, which you will see by the look on Johnny’s face when Adam hits the stage!! Priceless!! We had fun talking about who was going to jump onstage first, haha!!
As we were all waiting patiently inside, this lucky guy got to sit down and have a chat with Adam!! He is definitely an Adam fan, and they are just chatting it up… um, hello, can you get a move on, people are waiting for you Adam!!

As I was in the concert, Jess talked her dad into bringing her to the venue to see if she could see the band again after the show. YES, she is her daddy’s little girl, even though she is almost 16!! She is also a very lucky girl, as you can see, because she was able to get her picture taken with Longineu this time! He was too fast for us to catch in Milwaukee, so it was cool for her to meet him again after being on Oprah with him.
Jess and Longineu:
img_0338a

We put Jess to work and had her take a picture of the newfound friends:
Johnny, Marti, Jenny, and ME!
img_0339a

Of course, the highlight was having Tommy come out and talk to Jess again!! As I told him that she “sweet talked” her dad into bringing her, he apologized to her for for not being able to get in to the concert (as if it was HIS fault). As he was telling her how Allison and Taylor couldn’t perform either, he was digging in his pocket to see if he had a guitar pick for her. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find one but just the time he spent talking to her alone was priceless. As they talked, she handed him a cute fan letter that she had written just for him, and he asked, “What’s this?”. She explained to him that it was just a thank you for being so nice to her in Milwaukee. He then asked what her twitter name was and sure enough…he thanked her, in a tweet, a few days later!! He also made sure we got another picture of the two of them! Ahhh, to be so young and beautiful!
Great memories that will last a lifetime…

CONGRATULATIONS TO ADAM LAMBERT!! #1 AGAIN!!
Congratulations also to everyone that voted If I Had You to the top spot, you know who you are!!!
Great way to start the holiday weekend,

ENJOY:

via: @mjsbigblog
Congrats to Adam Lambert. The music video for his single, “If I Had You” is #1 on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown this week, knocking Usher into the #2 spot.

He’s the first artist to have 2 #1s on the countdown in 2010. His previous single, “Whataya Want From Me” also climbed to #1 on the countdown.

“If I Had You” entered the countdown at #20 on 6/19 (after the video debuted on VH1.com 6/14). It climbed to the #10 spot on 6/26 before it leaped to #1 today.

Fan voting helps determine the composition of the weekly chart, so a big shout-out is also in order to the peeps who helped vote Adam into the #1 spot. Congrats all around!

The Glam Nation Tour did it’s thing last night in Norfolk, Virginia, and once again was SMOKING HOT!!
I have to admit that I don’t always sit and watch every second of every video as I am posting them. Not because I am not interested of course, but because I have to do “real life” things as well. I have to say though, that on a day like today, when I just let them play a little longer than usual… it just brings goosebumps to my arms to hear that man’s voice!! Not only when he sings either, I love hearing him laugh and speak too!! This version of Whole Lotta Love was outstanding once again, and Soaked was breathtakingly beautiful…
It is just mesmerizing…. happy day everyone!!!

This is somewhat of a mish mash of things that I had either missed or had not seen before today.

First off, I have FINALLY posted the pictures that our very own Donna W. had taken at her Foxwoods concert!! Poor Donna sent them to me right away, then I couldn’t get them to transfer on to the site, totally my fault I’m sure. Now, she has resent them to me and you guys are going to FLIP OUT when you see these, they are G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S…. THANK YOU DONNA!!

Then there are some Washington, D.C. pictures, that I have included, that were taken before and after the show. Take a look at how cute Adam looks all clean and au natural…and so relaxed!! YAYAYAY!

I also have an interview or two for you… I hope you like them!!

Adam Lambert Talks Importance Of Rhinestones, Pre-Show ‘Rituals’
‘We get in front of the mirror and kind of play every night,’ Lambert tells MTV News of makeup artist Sutan on Glam Nation Tour.
By Jim Cantiello/mtv.com

Believe it or not, Adam Lambert does not wake up with rhinestones affixed to his cheekbones. The pop star, currently headlining his in-demand Glam Nation Tour, gets creative with his glittery stage makeup moments before showtime.

“We get in front of the mirror and kind of play every night,” Lambert told MTV News backstage at a recent sold-out New York City tour stop. “We just create and it’s fun. So sometimes there’s like rhinestones stuck all over [the] side of my head. Sometimes we give a little Eastern bindi action. Sometimes there [are] no stones whatsoever,” he added.

The “we” Lambert was referring to includes makeup guru Sutan, who has long been among Lambert’s circle of friends. But fans may know the flamboyant makeup artist from his stint on “America’s Next Top Model.”

“He’s so funny and has such a great energy, and I really like his work,” Lambert gushed.

Rhinestones and face glue, however, aren’t the only tools Adam needs to prep for a show. In order to maintain his powerhouse, octave-jumping voice, Lambert has finally zeroed in on a secret weapon: aerobics.

“I never used to be one to do any sort of ritual before I performed and just recently, at the start of this tour, I decided to start coming up with a routine. And it’s really helped me,” the singer said. “I exercise; I do like a cardio thing. If I’m in a hotel with a treadmill I either run for 20 minutes or I get on a stationary bike,” Lambert continued. “It makes you feel good, it gets the endorphins going. It also kind of helps warm up the voice. And then I do a [proper] vocal warm-up.”

As fun as the face painting is, the “Idol” star knows that ultimately, it’s all about delivering the music. “Those two things — just a little exercise and that vocal warm-up — keep me at my best. With fans “waiting out on the street, people are so dedicated, they deserve the best,” Lambert said.

His Glam Nation Tour continues through September, before heading overseas later this fall.

I have filled this post with some happy things!!
Here are a couple of nice guys, Jim Cantiello from MTV and Michael Slezak from Entertainment Weekly, that are spreading the Adam love! I love when they review Adam because it is always spot on and so relaxed…

ENJOY:

~article 1 via: Michael Slezak/popwatch.ew.com

Adam Lambert is less than a month into his first headlining tour, so you can forgive him for having a moment of “Frick! I don’t know what I’m gonna do!” when he first began thinking about costumes, visuals, and a set list for his Glam Nation extravaganza (which wraps up Sept. 21 in Puyallup, WA).

Not to worry, though, the American Idol season 8 runner-up proved to be a quick study, drawing inspiration from turn-of-the-century New Orleans, Dia de los Muertos, and John Galliano, among other things. Adam says he also wanted to make sure his show had “an emotional through-line” that took his audiences from a dark and seductive world to a mood of heartbreak and introspection — until they finally arrived at a place of joy and connectivity. But if you’re worried Mr. Lambert is getting too deep, fret not: “It’s all tongue-in-cheek. There’s rhinestones on everything,” he says. Press play below to get to the full interview conducted backstage before Adam’s June 23 concert in New York City. And to get all my Idol-related news and commentary, follow me on Twitter @EWMichaelSlezak.

Adam Lambert’s Glam Nation Tour in NYC: Fans show a whole lotta love
Lambert threw a party last night in New York City, and everyone was invited.

Take, for example, the middle-aged woman in the audience who’d traveled all the way from Auckland, New Zealand, to experience the Glam Nation tour alongside fellow female fans from around the globe whom she’d met on Internet message boards. And in a similar vein, while the audience for the first of Lambert’s two Manhattan concerts featured a mix of ages, races, and genders, a cursory glance around the Nokia Theatre revealed that the American Idol season 8 runner-up is indubitably connecting with women of a certain age.

Superficially, it’s a puzzling phenomenon: Openly gay male rocker drawing droves of adoring thirty- to fifty-something ladies who lazy marketing execs might expect to spend their Tuesday evenings sipping white-wine spritzers and listening to their local Lite-FM stations? But for those lucky enough to experience Lambert’s raucous 14-song set, the phenomenon makes perfect sense: If there’s any truth to the stereotype that gay men throw the best parties, Adam’s Glam Nation soiree is Exhibit A. And as a misfit toy himself — an artist whose Euro-Goth brand of vocal adrenaline and openness about his sexual orientation make his radio aspirations a protracted uphill battle — Adam’s fills his concert with a winking, conspiratorial giddiness that makes his fans feel like he’s singing directly to them. One of the biggest roars from the crowd, in fact, came during Adam’s performance of his hit single “Whataya Want from Me,” right after the line, “It’s me, I’m a freak. But thanks for loving me, ’cause you’re doing it perfectly.”

That kind of positive back-and-forth coursed through the entire Glam Nation set, with Lambert alternately serving as playfully sexy ringleader, Oprah-esque relationship adviser, and jaw-dropping vocal contortionist (albeit one who tends to dress in heavy tapestry fabrics that look like they might have been used to upholster Cher’s couches during her Gothic period). After a particularly devastating rendition of his ballad “Soaked,” Adam laughed about going “dark with a twist,” then, pointing to his chest, he philosophized about the struggle to overcome past hurts and find true love. “You chase your tail to enough bars and then realize the answer is in here.” Later, after ripping his way through the dance-driven current single “If I Had You,” Adam obscenely wagged his tongue and giggled “I love New York!”

The man also loves his most loyal Glamberts, as evidenced by his decision to open the show with a one-two punch of “Voodoo” (which appeared only on Adam’s remix EP) and “Down the Rabbit Hole” (a bonus track that came with iTunes pre-orders of his For Your Entertainment disc), followed by the Middle Eastern-flavored “Ring of Fire” that he first introduced during Country Week on Idol.

Adam then tackled what are arguably the two most commercially viable tracks off his album — the Lady Gaga-penned “Fever” and the Ryan Tedder number “Sleepwalker” — and, not all that surprisingly, these live renditions proved tighter and cleaner than probably half of his Auto-Tuned radio competitors.

After that, the laser-light show and backup dancers went quiet, and the stripped-down portion of the show kicked in for “Whataya Want from Me,” “Soaked,” and “Aftermath,” giving Adam a chance to show off what he’s famous for: That voice. The last of these tracks, a self-empowerment ballad that could easily serve as a National Coming Out Day anthem, benefited most from the sparse rearrangement, achieving depth and nuance that are largely absent from the recorded version.

The party returned to full force — and Adam got his pop-and-lock on — for the beautifully campy “Sure Fire Winners,” and the dance reverie extended through “Strut” (where a paisley skull inexplicably emerged as a backdrop), “Music Again,” and “If I Had You,” Adam’s treatise on the trappings of fame being meaningless without the secret ingredient of love. That sentiment might be too pat by half, but the crowd consumed like lemonade on a scorching summer day.

And just in case some of his Idol devotees came to see him without first sampling his debut disc, Adam returned for an encore of two songs he performed on Fox’s reality juggernaut: “Mad World” got a jangly rearrangement that unfortunately erased the haunting drama of his Idol version. Then, Adam slowed down the blast of sexual energy that is “Whole Lotta Love” and turned it into a howling, bass-heavy meditation that bordered on Tantric. Such a new-age twist might be blasphemy to Led Zeppelin purists, and it may have been unexpectedly mellow for a closing number, but the way the audience shrieked its approval, a successful concert climax was experienced by most.

As for Glam Nation’s opening acts, Adam’s Idol contemporary Allison Iraheta got the party started with a spectacular set that almost forced me to call 911, seeing how its compact 20-minute length robbed me of the necessary time to appreciate the red-headed teenager’s ridiculous vocal talents. Propulsive set opener “Holiday” found Iraheta bounding across the stage with a carefree confidence she never quite achieved during her Idol run; it’s clear that she’s much more at home surrounded by her band than she was with four reality-TV judges ready to pass judgment on her clothing, her demeanor, and her personality. A brief sampling of the devastating ballad “Scars” led into a terrific take on current single “Don’t Waste the Pretty” that featured muscular guest work by guitar goddess Orianthi (who popped in for one song only). The set-closing cover of “Heartbreaker,” meanwhile, turned out to be an inspired choice for an 18-year-old with the soul of someone quite probably three times that age.

Following Iraheta, Orianthi was a bit of a letdown. The “According to You” singer has a stilted stage demeanor that brightens only when she stops singing and focuses on her exceptional guitar skills. Aside from those interludes, though, one must decide whether to fixate on Orianthi’s unremarkable ditties (the rote “Shut Up and Kiss Me,” the Sarah McLachlan-lite “Courage”) or the fact that her bangs failed to move a centimeter through the duration of her nine-song set. The lone highlight of Orianthi’s competent but sleepy act was was the romping “Think Like a Man,” an obvious choice for the Australian diva’s next single.

Have you been to see the Glam Nation tour yet? Do you have plans to in the coming weeks? If so, share your own opinions in the comments below. And to get all my Idol updates, follow me on Twitter @EWMichaelSlezak, and follow EW’s Music Mix blog, too, @EWMusicMix.

~Adam Lambert Fans Camp Out For New York Show:
Wednesday, June 23, 2010

Adam’s Glam Nation tour is one of the hottest tours this summer! With dates selling out all over the country, its no surprise that when Adam was in New York last night, many fans camped out for good seats to the show. Check out the video above to see some of Adam’s devoted fans speaking on the experience of camping out in New York.

MYFOXNY.COM - Adam Lambert didn’t win AMERICAN IDOL, but is sure winning over plenty of fans, many of whom camped out for hours and hours ahead of his show at the Nokia Theater in Manhattan Tuesday night.
He is headlining his own tour, called the Glam Nation Tour. He has numerous costume changes during the show.
Adam’s fans, called “Glamberts,” dress like him, accessorize like him, and say they want to be him.
His next stops on the road include shows at Foxwoods and the Borgata in Atlantic City.

~Tongue-lick anyone??
The night was especially marked by some major fan-shipping pandering from Adam and his bassist Tommy Joe Ratliff, what with open mouthed tongue licking in Fever, and Tommy returning the favor by a lick plus a cheek kiss of his own during If I Had You … those two are hot! Who cares if something is or isn’t going on behind the scenes, they’re still hot as hell on stage.

~And just in case you didn’t get enough sexiness, seriously?? Well, here is a little more, ok A LOT more hotness for your eyes…

Adam Lambert share surprise kiss/lick with his cute bass player; talks to “ET” about his first solo tour
By Greg Hernandez on Jun 23, 2010 1:39 pm | Comments (0) |

I cannot possibly keep up with all that is going on in Adam Lambert’s exciting universe right now but I try!

On the Adam Lambert Fan Page on Facebook, there is this new photo of Adam last night at the Nokia Theatre in New York City’s Times Square sharing what one fan describes as a “kiss-lick” with his cute bass player Tommy Joe Ratliff!

This occurred during a major stop on the Glam Nation Tour which is Adam’s first solo tour.

Adam talks to Entertainment Tonight about the tour and says his butterflies are long gone: “When I was putting together the show there was a little bit of pressure and I was a little nervous about it. … The nerves are all gone — and now it’s more excitement. Now it’s like, I can’t wait to show this to everybody. I can’t wait to share this with my fans.”

Adam, who appears on ET today, promises his fans a dazzling show with plenty of songs from his album For Your Entertainment and lots of dazzling visuals.

“There are nods in there to Boy George, there are nods to Michael Jackson maybe, to ‘The Matrix’… There’s a little something for everybody and it’s all kind of put together in this big melting pot.”

Watch the video for Adam’s thoughts on the upcoming one-year anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death, and for more behind-the-scenes excitement from his concert.

Adam’s Glam Nation Tour across the U.S. wraps up September 21 in Washington. In the meantime, you can help the star support education through the “Glam a Classroom” campaign.

Adam Lambert’s Glam Nation Tour in NYC: Fans show a whole lotta love
by Michael Slezak
Categories: Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta, American Idol

Such a new-age twist might be blasphemy to Led Zeppelin purists, and it may have been unexpectedly mellow for a closing number, but the way the audience shrieked its approval, a successful concert climax was experienced by most.

allison-iraheta-orianthiImage Credit: Joe Kohen/WireImage.comAs for Glam Nation’s opening acts, Adam’s Idol contemporary Allison Iraheta got the party started with a spectacular set that almost forced me to call 911, seeing how its compact 20-minute length robbed me of the necessary time to appreciate the red-headed teenager’s ridiculous vocal talents.

Tomorrow will mark the one week anniversary of my Glam Nation experience. I simply cannot get back into the real swing of things yet either!! This is the second time I am sitting down to write this, as the first time my power outage erased it before I was done adding the pictures, grr.

My first show was the Milwaukee, Wisconsin show last Tuesday night. We had a great crowd show up for dinner at The Rock Bottom Brewery which was literally right around the corner from the venue. Thanks to Ellen G. for using her name for the reservation and for everyone there for hanging with us. It was great to see everyone including Carol, my co-writer here, at dinner too! She hopped on a plane to come out for the two Glam Nation shows out here. This was the show that I was able to bring my daughter Jess to, along with our friend Jenny. In Ellen’s group was our mutual friend Janet, whom Ellen and I met through our Illinois Glamb group, Carol, and Ellen’s sister!!
We had a great gathering of friends for this leg of the journey.

The venue was really very beautiful inside, and our seats were in the second row of the balcony. We had a great view looking down on the stage. Thankfully, you have already seen most of the pictures from our friend Haley, because I didn’t get very many good ones. Once we were sitting, we realized that the indoor temperature was sooo hot. The air was not working so we were sweating before the show even started. Once the show began though, it got way hotter. Allison and Orianthi did a great job, and then we were given the greatest gift of all, Adam. Everything about the show was spectacular, from the costumes, to the dancers, to the band, and especially the vocals from Adam. He was spot on once again, and seeing him “live” is such an emotional experience. The way he takes you on a journey from song to song, is second to none. As soon as the first note of the show began, we were transfixed by everything that was going on on that stage. The way he uses the lights and the lasers, it is a visual celebration. I have to say, I LOVED If I Had You!! Just the little speech he gives, and introducing all the friends that are close to him, and the meaning of the song is just the total package for me. We were up and dancing and singing along for the majority of the show!! Unfortunately, just as quickly as it began, it was over…

After escaping to the outdoors for some cool night air, we were walking past the busses on the street and saw that they had barricades lining up along the alleyway. We decided to stop and watch them come out. As his dancer’s began the walk to the busses, we could see that it was going to be hard to see any of them up close, so we ran acroos the street to where the busses were actually parked. This turned out to be the smartest thing we ever could have done. After a few minutes, Tommy was walking right towards us so I asked him if he would mind taking a picture with Jess, from Oprah?? His eyes went wide and he was so excited to see her again, it was awesome!! He was asking her questions about that whole day, and then he let us get a great picture of the two of them. He also took pictures with us that aren’t quite as cute because we look like old lady stalkers, haha, but it was fun nonetheless.

At that point, he had to get on the bus so we waited patiently to see who would be next. As we stood there, we were approached by OLGA and JILL, who always contribute comments on our site, and whom also attended the Oprah show!!! I am so glad they spotted us because they didn’t meet up with us at the taping, so it was fun to finally meet them. They did a great write up for us on THEIR Oprah experience that we posted, do you guys remember?? We took pictures together as well and it was awesome to meet them. Jill and I were discussing the power of the mother/daughter bond when out came Monte!! Now, we decided to do the same thing, to push the pretty 15 year old at him to get his attention. As we asked him if we could take a picture of him with Jess from Oprah, he said, “JESS, AND SUE!!”. AAAAGH, HE REMEMBERED US TOO!!!! We all were laughing and telling him that he was awesome for remembering us, and he pretended to swing a baseball bat like he had just hit one out of the park. He was very proud of himself for remembering too!! At this point, he told the security guard that he was safe and that he could leave him with us, haha. He was great about taking pictures, and he was teasing Jess about how since she wasn’t crying this time, he could always get her to cry by taking her away to see… nah he wouldn’t do that. Totally cute. We talked about his new twins and I told him to make sure and pay attention because before long they will be Jess’ age, and he looked at her and shook his head like that was all too overwhelming for him to believe. He then spent some time with Olga and Jill, and we then realized by the screaming that Adam was walking to his bus. Unfortunately, we were at the back end of the bus that he got on so we didn’t get up close, but the other guys made up for that in a huge way. Thank you Tommy and Monte for a great night all around, and I hope you all enjoy my few pictures.

P/S~This is a regular work day for me so I will post about Hammond hopefully by tomorrow, darned “real life”…

Adam Lambert Talks About New Video & Tour In Conference Call
Friday, 18 June 2010 14:31

This afternoon, Adam Lambert participated in a conference call with various media folks about his Glam Nation Tour.
AI Now’s Renee Snyder was a part of the call and provided these live tweets:

* A typical day for Adam when not touring is really a hustle - interviews, photoshoots, rehearsals, paperwork, international promo
* Adam was asked if he uses “The Secret” philosophy. He does engage in positive thinking to manifest his dreams. And it worked!
* Adam reacted to the panic of him shaving part of his hair. He thought it was hilarious and not newsworthy. He sees it as “air-conditioning”
* The show is very theatrical. There are 4 dancers, costume changes, definitely glam!
* Adam said there will be more dates announced. They are waiting for the venues to finalize. Some dates also in Asia & Europe
* Adam was asked if he knows Train. He’s “not necessarily a fan, but has nothing against them”
* He has lowered the key of some songs to save his voice and be at his best for every show. He worked with a vocal coach to do this.
* “If I Had You” reflects where he is personally & professionally right now.
* Adam said Neil was looking for a job and Adam said they needed a production assistant on the tour, so they hired him
* Adam said there was a socio-political plan to the If I Had You video. Age, sex, religion, etc doesn’t matter. Everyone can party together.
* He was asked how he chooses which song for the encore. It’s decided at the moment! But it’s probably going to be both now.
* He’s excited to see a wide range of demographics in the audiences. A mix of ages and men and women.Broader ethnicity cross-section
* Adam is not fond of lip-synching and he won’t be doing it. He prefers more vocally driven
* As far as type of venue, he prefers the theaters, which is what he is used to. He also likes architecture and decor of them.
* Over the years he has met a lot of incredible people that are part of “gypsy groups” in LA and wanted to bring them into the IIHY video.
* The Common Grounds show will not be the full show - it will be a festival show…The “festival” shows are usually shorter, so won’t be the full glamnation show
* Can’t Let You Go hasn’t been released in the US and there is only “so much time” in the show, so he isn’t doing it.
* Live cd of Glamnation? It has been discussed, but they don’t really know
* The set includes stairs, lasers, costumes. Rock and roll punk type theme. Turn of the century New Orleans feel
* The vibe from the crowd can affect how “frisky” he is in each performance. It also depends a lot on his mood at the time.
* Adam takes something away from each city. The vibe in the audience is different every night. And he does look at the people in the crowd.
* His current make-up artist/hair stylist is an old friend from LA. He is also working with Skingraft for fashion, who he also knew before
* Adam believes that if you have success in your life, you should spread it around. So he tries to help his friends out.
* Adam will perform Whataya Want From Me on Much Music Awards since that’s the vid nominated.

As I promised, here is the second half of the VH-1 snippets of behind the scene videos starring Adam and the band.
It is really cool to be able to see Adam planning things out and actually being part of the entire process. It makes everything he does turn out that much more special.
I would like EVERYONE to take note of the screaming girl, in the green shirt, in the snippet of screaming fans. You will know the one, she’s the one SCREAMING. I am having everyone pay attention because, THIS COULD BE YOU! Remember this video when you are seeing Adam in person, BEFORE you scream at him and scare him, haha. Don’t say I didn’t warn you as to how you might come across to everybody if you scream. Make sure that if you ARE going to scream like her, have the person you are with video you so we can post it and watch it here!!!
Kidding aside, I hope you all get to sing, scream, and dance along with all the Adam fans somewhere along the Glam Nation Tour this summer.

Adam Lambert OMG!!!
~O M G!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Adam Lambert is beautiful!!!!!!!!! Not only to look at…honest, nice to fans….real. WOW!
So yes, he was wearing black and silver polish, black everything…the hair was edgy and fits his personality perfectly…just plain ole wonderful all the way around!! He did not sing at our sit down interview but DID invite all who were there to come to the soundcheck which they LOVED. He wanted to rest the voice for the show that kicks off his 70 city tour and starts right here in Wilkes Barre!!!! Amazing that it all starts here!! We are so lucky! And get ready for a HUGE show. Orianthi , Alison from American Idol and MY ADAM. I think he’s great.

As Adam is getting ready to begin his first Glam Nation Tour this week, he is already thinking of others instead!
As you will read in his tweets below, Adam is looking for his fans to support their favorite charities in lieu of bringing HIM specific gifts.
His decision to have people donate to either donorschoose.org, or any charity of choice, is such a brilliant idea for all that are involved.
Plus, Adam seemed to be genuinely excited that his idea about donating, instead of bringing HIM gifts, was so warmly accepted.
If you are interested, you can click on ANY of the donorschoose.org links within this article, which is directly linked to our specific page, or you can read the comments that were left, on past posts, below that were written by two fellow Glamb’s regarding support for the Heifer Project.
The link goes direct to a page specifically made by one of our members, thank you for setting that up for those that are interested in donating!!

I think Adam would be proud to see his Glambs showing their love and support!!

ENJOY:

~adamlambert~Been doing lots of thinking…Last year on the road I received so many thoughtful gifts from all of you. But I very quickly ran out o’ room

~adamlambert~Instead of giving me gifts, why not donate 2 donorschoose.org or other charity in my name? U can print a reciept 4 me and personalize it:)

~adamlambert~What are your thoughts?

~adamlambert~Yay I’m glad u all like the idea! I love reading your cards and seeing your drawings too, I’m just not going to be able to take them with me

~adamlambert~ Yes fan club and site is in the works…

***I am including 2 posts from our very own, Princessshakeitup and Farzana, that have started another great project for any of you that would like to donate!!
Submitted on 2010/05/23 at 6:31am

~OK FELLOW GLAMS…PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the video of the interview here Adam was asked about whether he accepts gifts and he stated that he would prefer that his fans make a charitable donation to a worthy cause and then give him the receipt. Great Idea from a GREAT guy, RIGHT!? Well, back at Christmas time, when I lived in the States, I would donate to a charity called the Heifer Project and they would buy animals for people in other countries who could use them to create a sustainable life for themselves. Most of the people I know already have everything they need so this seemed like a great idea and recipients loved getting a gift card saying that a goat had been shipped to Honduras in their name etc. etc. CAN YOU SEE WHERE I AM GOING WITH THIS!?
In addition to individual animal gifts, they have something called an “Ark” that costs $5000 and includes all the animals in the program. There are over 600 of us GLAMS, right [I am proud to be #601] so if we each gave say, 10 dollars we could make this happen in Adam’s name and someone who is lucky enough to be going to his first GLAM NATION tour could present it to him on behalf of all of us who love him to thank him for all he has given US!!!
PLEASE respond and let me know if you might be interested!!! If you are, I will get this started! You can go to the Heifer Project International site an see for yourself what I am talking about…they have an EXCELLENT reputation as a charitable organization!!!! If someone else, who is more adept at this ‘link’ thing can put theirs here, that would be great too!

WHAT SAY MY FELLOW GLAMS!? CAN WE DO THIS FOR ADAM AND THE WORLD!?
My Sisters in Adam and I send each other links to You Tube Adam videos on Sunday and wish each other “Happy Sundays With Adam” so that is what I wish all of you!!!
Big Love from Princessshakeitup; Glam #601!!!

AND THEN:

~Submitted on 2010/05/27 at 8:29pm
Oh! How I would love to be your assistant in the #1 scenario…I could pick you up after you faint with the screaming! I was a nurse in a “former life” so I know how to deal with others hysteria…not too sure about mine! LOL

Truly, guys, is anyone out there seeing the fabulous opportunity with “Adam’s Ark”? Let’s continue the love revolution he has started and forget the negative rumor mongers!

We, his dedicated fans, are the ones who can shine a light on the integrity and sincerity of this gifted performer!! In his KISS 108 interview he was asked about receiving fan gifts and his reply was to the effect that he would prefer his fans give to a charity and give him evidence that they have done so with a form of receipt. This would show appreciation for his concerts.

Now, the man has spoken!

I would love to show this man how much he means to me by giving him a gift that would have lasting meaning, wouldn’t you?

Personally, I think this reveals a sterling quality of Adam in that he remembers others and is considerate of their needs! (How else would he be - as reflected in his performances?)

Let’s give back to him by reflecting his goodness into the world. The Heifer Project - “Adam’s Ark” is a fabulous opportunity to provide economic assistance to thousands across the globe in his name. It only takes a few dollars to contribute to the cause, certainly, the amounts can be any you wish. The more people that contribute the larger the final benefit. For international fans, any currency is accepted per their web site. You can read about it all on:
http://www.heifer.org/teamsearch/glambs

Adam’s Ark….has a nice message for the world through your love dollars! Wouldn’t you like to be one of the people that puts a smile on his face? If this particular project doesn’t appeal to you, then please pick a charity and give generously along with all your fellow fans!

I believe Adam’s fans are one of a kind and we can demonstrate this abundantly to the negative elements that try to tear away at his unique character/talents.

I, for one, feel inspired by him. What about you? If you feel the same, then join the fans that support “Adam’s Ark.” His personality and talents have inspired me to elaborate my zeal for him in this post! Can you feel the love?

XO~SUE~GLAMB#10

As I was checking things on twitter, I came across the pictures and thought of ALL of my Adam loving friends here on this site. I figured since I love you all soooo much, I would share them with you.
Actually, I just wanted to see what kind of reaction I could drum up. I am just wondering what you guys will like the BEST about them.
Ok, so I am not wondering at all… it is pretty obvious where I think you guys are going to go with these, so don’t let me stop you…

Adam Lambert update: Ticket on-sale date for his San Diego show moved up a week
article via:www.signonsandiego.com-George Varga
Tuesday, May 25, 2010 p.m.31 12:34 p.m.
~The ticket on-sale date for the July 30 Copley Symphony Hall concert by Adam Lambert has been moved up a week from June 12 to to June 5. 5 Lambert, last year’s “American idol” runner-up, will appear here as part of his debut headlining national tour. Ex-Michael Jackson guitarist Orianthi will open the show for the charismatic singer with the powerful voice and glam-rock inspired stage persona. We wouldn’t be surprised if the two join forces for a song.
Tickets go on sale June 5 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com and we predict a quick sell-out. The highest priced seats are $40. Although the show here is still not yet listed on Lambert’s Web site, it was confirmed today by AEG Live, which is producing his Copley Symphony Hall gig.

~He may not have won American Idol, but Adam Lambert has truly made a name for himself. And he’s now coming to the Puyallup Fair.
Lambert will be performing at the fair on September 21 at 7:30 p.m. He is the latest performer to be scheduled to perform at the Fair.
He finished second to Kris Allen on American Idol last year, but his first album, For Your Entertainment, shot to No. 3 on the Billboard album chart. After touring with other members of the Season 8 cast of Idol last year, this is his first nationwide tour as a headline artist.
Opening for Lambert will be Orianthi, who will be supporting her debut album, Believe. The 25-year-old Australian has developed a reputation as a top guitarist, having performed with Carlos Santana, Prince and Steve Vai.
Most Americans first saw her when she performed with Carrie Underwood at the 2009 Grammy Awards. She also was to be the lead guitarist for Michael Jackson on his concerts in London last year and is seen in Jackson’s movie This Is It. She also performed as his memorial last year.
Tickets go on sale on June 5. Prices will be $45 (Golden Circle), $35, $30 and $25. Those prices are on top of the regular fair admission.

Here For Your Entertainment
Adam Lambert on Post-Idol Success, the Media, & Talented Tongue
Interview by Jason Clevett
From May 2010

In the week prior to my conversation with Adam Lambert, he performed sold out shows in Richmond and Coquitlam, B.C., appeared as a guest mentor on American Idol, and performed his current single Whataya Want From Me on the results show. He was also in one of the funniest moments in Idol history with host Ryan Seacrest.

If you haven’t seen the clip yet, hunt it down. While talking about Whataya Want From Me Adam told Ryan he had to stick his tongue out to hit the high note. In response Seacrest replied “my tongue is not nearly as talented as yours.”

“That made me laugh too. That was a brilliant moment. It was not rehearsed. It is moments like that which make interviewing fun,” Lambert told GayCalgary and Edmonton Magazine. The look on everyone’s face, from Lambert’s to Seacrest’s to the Glee cast seated behind them added to the hilarity. To top it off, Adam mouthed the words, “It’s true.”

“It is true!” he said, chuckling at the memory. “Whatever went through my mind was pretty clear on camera. It was like oh… ok. I thought it was funny.”

Seacrest always seemed to stumble over his words around Lambert, even when he was an idol-contestant last season. Is it possible he has a little man-crush on Lambert?

“Ryan’s great. I don’t know him personally, my only interaction is being interviewed by him either on Idol or his radio show. He is always really cool with me. I think he knows I can take a joke and he can tease me, it will all be in good fun. We have a good time.”

For someone with only a year of experience since Idol, Lambert’s advice in leading contestants through Elvis week was often spot on.
