WHEW…Here is a “catch-up” post from when I was gone!! This is the Las Vegas concert that was held at the Mandalay Bay hotel. For those of you that haven’t been there, it is a man made beach and the stage is located IN THE WATER!! It could not have been any more perfect than it was that night. The temperature was perfect, with a light breeze, and no sign of rain!! It was a relaxed beach side concert… ahhh watching the video’s brings it all back! This is one of those one-of-a-kind venues that will stick in my brain forever!!

Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel, Providence, Rhode Island, OOOOK you win for outdoing Concord’s crowd!!!! Holy crowd interaction Glam fans!!
Before the show, the biggest news was that Tommy was wearing fishnets on both hands and he had new shoes… boy did that news get lost quick!!
I am just going to report that this was a highly entertaining show, which includes douche-bag glasses filled with “water”, haha, amazing dance moves, plenty of tongue action for those that are interested, awesome guitar playing by both of the boys, crowd surfing, tongue action again, and some floor writhing from Adam to Monte’s solo in 20th Century Boy. N.I.C.E…. and I KNOW I am forgetting some things so take a look for yourselves, did I forget anything important???
Yep, Adam’s tweet after the show…

@adamlambert:Thank you to my fans who have donated nearly $60,000 to my DonorsChoose Glam-A-Classroom campaign! Remember, you can be registered to win a meet and greet with me when you text LAMBERT to 30644! Lets help classrooms in need for this upcoming school year!
From now (August 11th) until Friday, August 20th at midnight EST, any individual who makes a donation to Glam A Classroom will be entered to win a Meet & Greet with Adam himself! We hope this will get everyone excited and bring even more success for Glam A Classroom.
Here is the link to our giving page—-> http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/viewChallenge.html?id=29320
AS OF TODAY, HERE ARE OUR STATS:
$801.40 donated
29 donors
2045 students reached
I have enclosed some of the thank you notes from the actual teachers themselves, and also some of the names of those that donated on our giving page!!
**Thank you note…
Dear Beth, Barbara and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you for your generous and quick response to Easel on Down the Road. The benefits of this project will reach far in to the future.
While working with small groups I can now have less disruption by keeping students in their work environment instead of having them move to the front of the room. This will decrease transition time and increase instruction time.
With donors as dedicated to education as you - the future looks brighter.
With gratitude,
Mr. W.
**Thank you note…
Dear Sam P., Dina P,, Nectaria , Amanda, Zoe, Michael Alamo, Nina, Barbara and Anonymous Donor,
and Miss Cindy,
Thank you very much for all of your donations! This carpet will help the students to expand their learning in a variety of ways while also keeping them comfortable and safe. The brightly colored rug is fun and the students certainly now will have a stimulating and cozy place to read and learn on.
This carpet will also provide a place for the students to have a beautiful learning environment - a place they love to come each day. It will be the place we gather as a learning family.
Thank you for what you have given to my students - for years to come as well.
With gratitude,
Mrs. M.
**Thank you note…
~Dear Anita, Wendy, Tina, Sonny, Shannon, Melissa, Tessarae, Monique and Barbara,
There are no words to share with you my excitement and gratitude for your amazing gift! Sometimes we forget how powerful and inspirational picture books can be, with implications reaching far beyond just honing one’s reading skills.
Reading is such a powerful experience and your generosity will allow my fourth graders a chance to explore new and thought-provoking literature. These picture books will be a vehicle for our study of reading strategies, as well as story elements, like setting, plot, and character development. I look forward to incorporating each book into our curriculum this year, and many years to come. Thank you for supporting education, believing in the power of literature, and the importance of fostering a love of reading in our children!
With gratitude,
Ms. A.
**Thank you note…
Dear Melinda , Dan, Nancie, Josh Clarke, Mr. Lee, Melynda, Peter, Shaun Smith, Matt, Landon, Chris, Najeeb, Diana Farrar, Lauren, Carla J., Mrs. Scace, David A, Boris Denisov, Andrew, Barbara and Anonymous Donors,
I wish I could personally thank each and every person for his or her generous donations to my project. Words are unfortunately an inadequate means of fully expressing my sincere gratitude. I am extremely excited and encouraged to see so many people value reading and share my vision.
With these picture books, my students’ whole reading curriculum will change by implementing the Reading Workshop. They will be taught comprehension skills through the use of picture books. They will learn standard-based lessons covering point of view, theme, visualizing, predicting, inferring, summarizing, questioning, etc using an actual author’s work. Their lessons will become interactive, think-aloud lessons that will engage students and improve comprehension. Our main focus it to keep the students interested in reading during this crucial period. Your donations will dramatically increase my students exposure to great authors they may otherwise not have read. Reading can inspire children to accomplish so many things!
Thank you again for the gracious outpouring of donations for my class. I am certain my excitement will be shared by my class as well.
With gratitude,
Mrs. L.

Musikfest fan were witness to some changes at the show last night in Bethlehem, Pa!! Those in attendance were the first to witness a beautiful teardrop(make-up) on Adam’s face, his hair was down like a little boy, and Tommy actually wore a different shirt!! And all in one night!!
There were also a few little changes in some of the songs, like he went high where he usually goes low and vice-versa!! Strut had some fantastic dancing, and I L.O.V.E 20th Century Boy… yum. OK, Fever was pretty hot, if you are into the whole Adam/Tommy make out sessions, which I am…

This is day 2 of the Glam Nation Costa Mesa journey!!
I have some pictures of the Meet and Greet that both Carol and I were able to be a part of!!
I had gotten an email from DonorsChoose at NOON the day of this concert. I opened it to find out that they were giving me a Meet and Greet pass to see Adam THAT NIGHT, in appreciation of the work we do to promote their cause! Coincidentally, it also happened to be on THE day that they were replaying the OPRAH show that we were on together!!
THANK YOU UNIVERSE!!
When I got to the venue, which was a crisis in itself because of the “fair” traffic that wasn’t there the day before, Carol was at the gate! She told me that through some very nice fans, SHE was going to the Meet and Greet as well! AWESOME!!
After some confusion, being led in then back out then back in, we were in line and then he appeared. I did get some pics of Carol as she was talking to him, although they are blurry. Couldn’t be because I was a tad bit excited now, could it? Carol was then smart enough to stick around so that we could take the picture of BOTH of us with Adam, isn’t it a great shot??
~Carol and Adam, as seen from the stairwell leading down to the meet and greet area!!~

~Carol and I with Adam!! I love this picture…~

I was actually last in line, and I had Carol video my time with him on my camera, THANK YOU CAROL(If I can figure out how, I’ll put on youtube and add it in later!)… he was so amazingly sweet! He genuinely remembered me as I walked up to receive a great Adam hug, and we talked about the Oprah show, and Jess, and I apologized for us being idiots that day at Oprah!! He said THEY all were idiots and that it was the BEST DAY EVER, AWWWWWWW, I LOVE HIM!! I had some pictures of us, that I had actually brought for my friend, Shari, and she so generously “donated” them to Adam, THANK YOU SHARI!!!
~Adam and I!! OK, I love this one too!!~

Short story behind this picture… When we were at Oprah, Adam made a point to ask Jess about how old she was. He then engaged her in a conversation about when she was getting her driver’s license, asking if she was she excited, and if I was excited, etc, etc. So when I knew that I was going to be seeing Adam that night, I decided to try and get something from him, as part of her 16th birthday gift to accompany her tickets for The Glam Nation Tour in Rockford, Il!! I decided to just make a sign and get whomever I could to sign it. Well, not only did he write a cute note to her on there, he also took a picture with it for her!! HOW CUTE CAN ONE MAN BE? SERIOUSLY??
~Adam with Jess’ 16th birthday sign!!~
As he was signing her sign, I jokingly told him to keep it in his brain to come out and see us in Rockford. He looked seriously at me and said, “OK…(slight pause)…I AM trying to get out more!”. I was actually kidding him and am not expecting it, but by the way he looked, it was like he was filing it away in his brain…So that is good news for everyone, because he is TRYING to get out to see us all EVERY NIGHT!!! Don’t give up hope guys, your day is coming…
OK all, I know that these are what you have been waiting for, day two of the Costa Mesa videos!!

The pre-concert party was great. About 21 people showed up. At first we had batches of 4-6 people come in at different intervals, so we had to go downstairs a couple of times and wait to get people to the lounge area. We all got to meet fans, have some drinks and it was very laid back. The conversations and pool games went so well that after 6:20pm I decided to stay upstairs. Some people arrived later and somehow figured out how to pass security, entering the maze of elevators and then enter another maze to get to the lounge area. For those two groups that did it, congratulations!
We went out in two separate groups across the street to the Copley Symphony Hall. Right before the concert, I gave my black nail polish to some extranger in line in exchange for her to do my nails. Then, Bryan helped me get my ‘glam-on.’
Yeah, that’s two perfectly straight guys putting guy liner on… priceless:

During the concert we could still see some of the people from the pre-concert party and it was nice to ‘know’ people there and say ‘Hey!!’ from a distance. I missed Allison Iraheta but I got to see Orianthi. She actually did very good in my opinion.
Now to the main event. I don’t think I need to go into too much detail because it has been covered here before (the songs, outfits, dancers, etc). The only think I can say about Adam’s performance is that it far exceeded my expectations. I thought I had a pretty good idea of what the show was going to be like from watching YouTube videos here but the experience of actually ‘being’ there and seeing him live was a completely different thing. I really think people need to know that these YouTube videos does him and the whole experience no justice.
Hearing his voice with high notes that fill the room and literally vibrate everything including the back of your spine is something you don’t want to miss.
My last concert was David Cook at Pechanga Casino during New Years (2009 to 2010) in Temecula, CA. I never thought anyone could ever top that. Well, Adam certainly did; and this is coming from a hardcore David Cook fan. I’ve been to a lot of concerts and Adam’s vocal ability and showmanship is like nothing I’ve ever experienced before.
After the concert, I got to meet Adam’s mom and got to tell her I was born the exact same day and year than Adam. She was like ‘that’s really cool!!’ Although she seemed tired, she looked like she’s been tanning/working out and actually looked kinda’ hot
(sorry!). We took a picture. Unfortunately, my camera was on some crazy daylight no flash mode so all my pictures came out blurry (You know how they always work except when you actually need them):

Glamorized Adam-Lambert.org fans Stephanie, Bryan and Linda:

Outside we waited for a while and Adam only showed up for about 1 or 2 minutes. Linda was one of the only ones to get an autograph (on her purse). Some of us were able to get a picture with Tommy, the bass player:

Stephanie hugging Tommy:

Sandra (Adam-Lambert.org author) talking with Adam’s dad:

Below you can see videos of the concert. If you haven’t been to one of his concerts and he is coming to you I personally strongly recommend not watching them until after you have seen him live:

Adam Lambert Announces Glam Nation Tour Dates
Lambert will hit the road in June with Orianthi and Allison Iraheta for his summer tour.
By Jocelyn Vena
via:mtv.com
The Lambert Army will finally get a chance to check out Adam Lambert live when he kicks off his Glam Nation Tour on June 4 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. For the trek, he’ll be bringing along fellow “American Idol” alum Allison Iraheta and guitarist Orianthi.
While most of the announced tour stops in support of his For Your Entertainment album take place in June, more summer dates will be added. The tour winds up on September 18 in St. Petersburg, Florida, with stops all over the country in between.
“I hope the audience will be able to escape for a few hours and fall into a world full of glam, drama and excitement,” Lambert said in a press release. “And I would love everyone to come away with a new appreciation for the music on my album.”
While he already knows what it’s like to share the stage with Iraheta, he’s excited to be bringing Orianthi along for the tour. “I was lucky enough to work with Orianthi on the ‘Sleepwalker’ track on my album,” he said. “She is a killer guitarist and a great vocalist. I’m so excited to be sharing the stage with her.”
“I am such a fan of Allison’s music and I am so excited for her to perform it live in front of an audience,” Adam added about his pal Iraheta. “We have such a great brother-and-sister energy, having shared the stage both on ‘American Idol’ and on the tour [last] summer. She is pure rock and roll.”
So, what should fans expect from the show? Lambert teased that it’s very theatrical in nature and that he wants his costumes to be very “cutting-edge.” “I hope to use some special-effects lighting,” Lambert explained. “The Glam Nation Tour is going to be very theatrical. People won’t be let down in the glam department; it’ll definitely be something to look at as well as listen to.”
Here are the dates for Adam Lambert’s Glam Nation summer tour:

I knew it was going to be a great day when I saw how gorgeous Adam was yesterday!! He does not disappoint in these videos either.
Everything about these videos will give you goosebumps, from the screaming of the fans, to the fans singing loud and proud, to Adams dancing and of course that voice!! He is totally blown away by the electricity from the crowd as he walks onstage, and he feeds off of it!! He totally OWNS that stage, and those dance moves are F-A-N-tastic!! What a wonderful atmosphere for him, I am so proud of him. This, Adam, is what it is all about. Congratulations…
