Beautiful Words Adam Lambert

~No matter how old you are, no matter who you sleep with, no matter what color your skin is, we can all party together.” – Adam Lambert
What more is there really to say? I saw this quote and it made me think about how lucky we ALL are to have Adam in our world.

So, just for fun, here is MY favorite video of Adam singing “If I had You” on The Oprah Show. Why, you ask? Why not, and I am pretty sure we ALL wish we could have him so… it just seemed fitting.

Loved him on Oprah! He looked so handsome and I love that song too. If I bookmark this could I watch it when I need a pick me up?
Was that you in the from row? Towards the end they panned on the front row. Just wondered.
    Thanks Again

    • Thanks for this suggestion about bookmarking! I am not a computer whiz, and didn’t know I could bookmark things like this. After working in my toolbar settings and a few clickes later…I bookmarked it! Your suggestion for a pick-me-up was great! The icon I chose is a smiling girl!

    • lovemyadam says:

Hey kat4adam, bookmark away!! You can never have to much Adam, good days or bad. Yep, that is me in the front row with my daughter Jess to my right and my bff Jenny to my left. Thanks for noticing!!

      • Speaking of good days and bad days… Last Friday my mother was having a VERY bad day. She’s nearly 84.

On that Friday her youngest son, my baby brother (age 51) called us about 10:30 PM to tell us he was in jail, and to let us know that he’d be contacting us in case he needed bailing out – but for now, until Monday, there was nothing we could do – just one of the many joys of living in a kinda small town that doesn’t have a night or weekend court.

(It was a BS charge, and on Monday the judge recognized it for what it was and let him out without having to pay any bail – but he’d still had to spend 3 days in jail just because he’d been arrested.)

So on Friday Mom was very upset – feeling bad, feeling helpless, and was about to go to bed unable to turn off her brain, but to lay there and think, and cry. That’s a BAD day – for anyone.

Then at 11 PM Adam’s VH-1 Unplugged show came on. I turned it on for her telling her to watch it before bed. She likes Adam, but doesn’t know how to operate a computer, so she’s left to only seeing him on TV, or coming into my room when I show her a new video. She’s never watched or listened to a whole interview – unless she caught it on TV, but she loves him.

We have Closed Captioning turned on – on all our TVs – so besides SEEING him sing we get to read all the lyrics. She loved it – especially “Down the Rabbit Hole.” (What a FUN song!) And by the time the 1/2 hour show was over Adam had taken my mom to a different place in her head – she was happy. She told me if she hadn’t watched him she’d have gone to bed and cried – thinking only of my brother’s troubles. But now she felt better – and Adam did that for her.

Adam may not be able to lay on hands and heal the body, but he surely has a way with healing the Spirit.

        • That was a really nice story. I liked that. And I agree wth you about he may not be able to lay on hands, but has a with healing the spirit. I LOVE his music, the way he sings–he’s incredible. I hope we have many more CD’s to buy to be able to listen to him more.

  2. Glenda #1946 says:

His voice is so clear on this performance. And he is so connected with the crowd….LOVE THIS!! Thanks!!!

  3. kaceyalum says:

What a talented young man. If anyone is going to help the world forget the “gay”, Adam is the one. He is so grounded in everything he does, whether it be an interview, sing, or promote his album. I really think that he has brought different types of people togeether with his honesty and good nature. Kudos to Adam and I hope he has a career that will last for many years.

  4. Hey everyone!
Love this video! I can watch it over and over again!
by the way. I have found this nice video from our international collegues about Adam’s hands. Take a look at the 10th video on this link. I personally have not seen it before. and the second link is to the article the canadian national post had done after the video.

  5. Micki (Glamb #535) says:

Hey Sue – When &/or where did Adam say that? (Wondering if I missed an interview or something.) I really love the quote though. Thank you for sharing it.

    • delibel (Nederland) says:

Hey say it on hes last concert thit you not se the video,s on You Tube?

  6. He said it last night at the River Rock show. He also said a few other memorable things. Most have been put on twitter…

The show really rocked! Adam fed off the enthusiasm of the audience who totally got everything he did, sang or said..

  7. It was his introduction to “If I Had You”. He spent a little time talking about the meanings of some of his songs before he sang them. Just hearing him speak was nice, always so eloquent. I think Theresa is right, he surely felt “safe” and empowered by the love and acceptance of his fans, the positive energy in the room was amazing.

  8. My Gosh, Adam’s look here is so Elvis. This look ushers the ELVIS SHOW on AI this week. And Adam can do the Elvis pelvis moves too. Adam’s going to bring the house down. HOly COw ! Can’t wait to see my baby!

  9. ADAM always ahead of the time…….eloquent and masterful ………..and this one is a great
learning tool to shed Peace, Love and Light!

  10. earlzagurl4u says:

Oh wow! I had not seen this in a while, A-mazing~Adamazing~having to be careful not to short circuit my keyboard. He’s so happy at this performance it makes me cry. PLL to all Glambs and Adam

    • lovemyadam says:

Isn’t he the cutest thing?? This was actually the second take of this song and he was having a TOTAL blast, as we all were!! How’s the keyboard by the way??

  11. Lambertini #520 says:

    Oh how I love him!

  12. I was 13 years old when Elvis became an idol. I see so many similarities between him and Adam-the nose, the hair, the black leather clothing. However, I like Adams voice so much more. They both certainly have the “it” factor which doesnt come along very often. I find it ironic that Adam will be advising on Elvis songs. I only wish he would sing one. It would take me back many years.

  13. grandjag says:

Just cannot wait for Tuesday and Wednesday…thank you all for the wonderful videos from Red Robinson and River Rock..Adam was the master…he was so wonderfull..the crowd was wonderful … watching them over and over..Adam loved it you!

  14. Glenda #1946 says:

  15. AdoringAdam says:

Thank you for the beautiful words from our beautiful boy. He is so right. My granddaughters, ages 11 to 6 always have Adam’s CD playing loudly in the car when they travel. They know almost all his songs. At home they dance to the CD. Adam is joyful and of course, Adorable. Tuesday and Wednesday should be wonderful. Can’t wait.

    • lovemyadam says:

That is AWESOME!! Tell them to turn it up!! We can all dance together…

  16. I hope he sings this song Wednesday, I never get tired of it.Great music, fun, happy, can listen repeatedly to this.

  17. oh, I hope he sing’s ” sleepwalker”……….AWESOME !!!

  18. That quote of Adam’s is going on my facebook. Love that boy and his incredible voice. (I only say boy because my youngest is 44). I could easily be his grandmother……….please.

  19. cheryl 334 says:

SUE…………Have this recorded on my DVR, too!!! I love that little part when you and your daughter were the onlyl ones sitting in the ‘audiance’ as he sang that song for you! He is so sexy! Just oozes sensuality.
He IS ‘masterful’ and original, etc!!! Mr. PERFECT!!!!

Thank you, Sue, for your love and dedication to our Man!!!! Without YOU, we would be left to our own devices to get glimpses of all these VERY IMPORTANT videos, pics, articles, etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You’re are a big ‘advantage’ to Adam. You’re a ‘pioneer’ here, just like the Elvis fans of the 50’s!

    love-peace-light-truth-joy-fun from Adam!

    • lovemyadam says:

Hey Cheryl, Trust me, I love it too!! I could just re-watch it over and over and over again.
Thank you for your kind words, they mean alot to me, honestly they do. I don’t need to bow, I love what I do and that is why I do it. I just want everyone to get their fill of Adam, well that’ll never happen but you know what I mean, haha.
I am glad you enjoy it all…

    • Sue, just watched the Oprah show again where Adam surprised you and your daughter, then you watching the show the next day. You acted/reacted for all of us! I would be jealous, but I guess that experience sparked your interest in keeping the rest of us informed.
As for AI, it’s been announced for a while that he will sing WWFM. Let’s all send up prayers or wishes that he does a second song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anxiously awaiting news of the tour this summer!
      aloha, Holly

That concert was awesome, and Adam’s beautiful words warmed my heart.

I’m currently spending the week in Victoria, but when I get back to California on Thursday I’ll post a bunch of good videos on Youtube. It was so fun meeting all the other Adam fans at the concerts! I;m looking forward to going to more concerts in the future.

  21. Ninalatina9 says:

    Well said Adam!! Party on….

  22. hey guys i love adam and i was hoping you guys could also help me vote for an fellow americn idol alumin ….Carrie underwood at if not taylor swift will win…and taylor will continue to win adam pop music awards when she is country..let me know

  23. I think I may think about Adam way too much. I know I have talked about him every day for the past year. So often, his words come back to me and I realize, once again, how intelligent, kind, and beautiful he is. As much as we all love to look at Adam, (he is soooo fine) it is his inner beauty that really makes him stand out. I truly hope his mom and dad are able to understand how much their son has touched our lives. They must be such special people. I like to think if my husband and I had had children, we would have raised them to think the way that Adam does. I work at a university so I am around tens of thousands of young adults and in the 10 years that I have been on campus, I have never met another young person with a heart and soul like Adams. Most are so self-absorbed, they never consider the rest of the world.

    • So well said, its that inner beauty that makes us all adore him so much. If he just had good looks on the outside, but an unkind soul, I know I wouldn’t be drawn to him at all. Let’s hope someday soon everyone, at least most, will come to realize what a truly lovely human being he is. He isn’t perfect (almost though!) but if he was my son, I would be so proud of him, just like I am of my own son (Adam’s age). Whenever my husband and I watch Adam perform or speak, I look over at my hubby and there he is with a big smile on his face (just like the giant grin on mine).

  24. grandjag says:

watching dancing with stars and someone is butchering Adam’s FYE??? who was singing that…

    • Grandjag, on DWTS, the songs are all played and sung by the show’s own musicians/singers. They just aren’t in the same class! DWTS is not on yet in Wa. state, but with this advance notice, maybe I’ll turn the sound off to this one! Aloha, Holly
