As I was posting the concert video’s from last night’s show, a tweet came in from Adam. I thought you all might like to read it…
@adamlambert~Just visited Children’s Hospital in Boston. Good reminder to appreciate life’s value. Those kids have such incredible spirits in the face of illness. I’m inspired.
Adam, you inspire me every day.
Last night, the Glam Nation tour took a spin on the center stage in Hyannis, Ma. The difference with this venue, the Cape Cod Melody Tent, is that it is “in the round”.
The beginning was completely different then ever before because Adam entered from the side and began singing as he walked up the aisle to the stage, which was very cool!! I really enjoyed being able to see other things so differently too!!
It was awesome to be able to see Cam’s face for once, as she always seems to be in the dark. I loved seeing different angles of Longineu as well. Having the crowd in the picture at all times was amazing, as if we were seeing it through Adam’s eyes. I thoroughly enjoyed it, oh, and he kept it tame tonight too. It was like way back at the beginning, with no kissing and just beautiful singing… I did miss the kissing a little, just saying. I hope you like it as much as I do….

WHEW…Here is a “catch-up” post from when I was gone!! This is the Las Vegas concert that was held at the Mandalay Bay hotel. For those of you that haven’t been there, it is a man made beach and the stage is located IN THE WATER!! It could not have been any more perfect than it was that night. The temperature was perfect, with a light breeze, and no sign of rain!! It was a relaxed beach side concert… ahhh watching the video’s brings it all back! This is one of those one-of-a-kind venues that will stick in my brain forever!!

@adamlambert:Thank you to my fans who have donated nearly $60,000 to my DonorsChoose Glam-A-Classroom campaign! Remember, you can be registered to win a meet and greet with me when you text LAMBERT to 30644! Lets help classrooms in need for this upcoming school year!
From now (August 11th) until Friday, August 20th at midnight EST, any individual who makes a donation to Glam A Classroom will be entered to win a Meet & Greet with Adam himself! We hope this will get everyone excited and bring even more success for Glam A Classroom.
Here is the link to our giving page—-> http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/viewChallenge.html?id=29320
AS OF TODAY, HERE ARE OUR STATS:
$801.40 donated
29 donors
2045 students reached
I have enclosed some of the thank you notes from the actual teachers themselves, and also some of the names of those that donated on our giving page!!
**Thank you note…
Dear Beth, Barbara and Anonymous Donor,
Thank you for your generous and quick response to Easel on Down the Road. The benefits of this project will reach far in to the future.
While working with small groups I can now have less disruption by keeping students in their work environment instead of having them move to the front of the room. This will decrease transition time and increase instruction time.
With donors as dedicated to education as you - the future looks brighter.
With gratitude,
Mr. W.
**Thank you note…
Dear Sam P., Dina P,, Nectaria , Amanda, Zoe, Michael Alamo, Nina, Barbara and Anonymous Donor,
and Miss Cindy,
Thank you very much for all of your donations! This carpet will help the students to expand their learning in a variety of ways while also keeping them comfortable and safe. The brightly colored rug is fun and the students certainly now will have a stimulating and cozy place to read and learn on.
This carpet will also provide a place for the students to have a beautiful learning environment - a place they love to come each day. It will be the place we gather as a learning family.
Thank you for what you have given to my students - for years to come as well.
With gratitude,
Mrs. M.
**Thank you note…
~Dear Anita, Wendy, Tina, Sonny, Shannon, Melissa, Tessarae, Monique and Barbara,
There are no words to share with you my excitement and gratitude for your amazing gift! Sometimes we forget how powerful and inspirational picture books can be, with implications reaching far beyond just honing one’s reading skills.
Reading is such a powerful experience and your generosity will allow my fourth graders a chance to explore new and thought-provoking literature. These picture books will be a vehicle for our study of reading strategies, as well as story elements, like setting, plot, and character development. I look forward to incorporating each book into our curriculum this year, and many years to come. Thank you for supporting education, believing in the power of literature, and the importance of fostering a love of reading in our children!
With gratitude,
Ms. A.
**Thank you note…
Dear Melinda , Dan, Nancie, Josh Clarke, Mr. Lee, Melynda, Peter, Shaun Smith, Matt, Landon, Chris, Najeeb, Diana Farrar, Lauren, Carla J., Mrs. Scace, David A, Boris Denisov, Andrew, Barbara and Anonymous Donors,
I wish I could personally thank each and every person for his or her generous donations to my project. Words are unfortunately an inadequate means of fully expressing my sincere gratitude. I am extremely excited and encouraged to see so many people value reading and share my vision.
With these picture books, my students’ whole reading curriculum will change by implementing the Reading Workshop. They will be taught comprehension skills through the use of picture books. They will learn standard-based lessons covering point of view, theme, visualizing, predicting, inferring, summarizing, questioning, etc using an actual author’s work. Their lessons will become interactive, think-aloud lessons that will engage students and improve comprehension. Our main focus it to keep the students interested in reading during this crucial period. Your donations will dramatically increase my students exposure to great authors they may otherwise not have read. Reading can inspire children to accomplish so many things!
Thank you again for the gracious outpouring of donations for my class. I am certain my excitement will be shared by my class as well.
With gratitude,
Mrs. L.

This is day 2 of the Glam Nation Costa Mesa journey!!
I have some pictures of the Meet and Greet that both Carol and I were able to be a part of!!
I had gotten an email from DonorsChoose at NOON the day of this concert. I opened it to find out that they were giving me a Meet and Greet pass to see Adam THAT NIGHT, in appreciation of the work we do to promote their cause! Coincidentally, it also happened to be on THE day that they were replaying the OPRAH show that we were on together!!
THANK YOU UNIVERSE!!
When I got to the venue, which was a crisis in itself because of the “fair” traffic that wasn’t there the day before, Carol was at the gate! She told me that through some very nice fans, SHE was going to the Meet and Greet as well! AWESOME!!
After some confusion, being led in then back out then back in, we were in line and then he appeared. I did get some pics of Carol as she was talking to him, although they are blurry. Couldn’t be because I was a tad bit excited now, could it? Carol was then smart enough to stick around so that we could take the picture of BOTH of us with Adam, isn’t it a great shot??
~Carol and Adam, as seen from the stairwell leading down to the meet and greet area!!~

~Carol and I with Adam!! I love this picture…~

I was actually last in line, and I had Carol video my time with him on my camera, THANK YOU CAROL(If I can figure out how, I’ll put on youtube and add it in later!)… he was so amazingly sweet! He genuinely remembered me as I walked up to receive a great Adam hug, and we talked about the Oprah show, and Jess, and I apologized for us being idiots that day at Oprah!! He said THEY all were idiots and that it was the BEST DAY EVER, AWWWWWWW, I LOVE HIM!! I had some pictures of us, that I had actually brought for my friend, Shari, and she so generously “donated” them to Adam, THANK YOU SHARI!!!
~Adam and I!! OK, I love this one too!!~

Short story behind this picture… When we were at Oprah, Adam made a point to ask Jess about how old she was. He then engaged her in a conversation about when she was getting her driver’s license, asking if she was she excited, and if I was excited, etc, etc. So when I knew that I was going to be seeing Adam that night, I decided to try and get something from him, as part of her 16th birthday gift to accompany her tickets for The Glam Nation Tour in Rockford, Il!! I decided to just make a sign and get whomever I could to sign it. Well, not only did he write a cute note to her on there, he also took a picture with it for her!! HOW CUTE CAN ONE MAN BE? SERIOUSLY??
~Adam with Jess’ 16th birthday sign!!~
As he was signing her sign, I jokingly told him to keep it in his brain to come out and see us in Rockford. He looked seriously at me and said, “OK…(slight pause)…I AM trying to get out more!”. I was actually kidding him and am not expecting it, but by the way he looked, it was like he was filing it away in his brain…So that is good news for everyone, because he is TRYING to get out to see us all EVERY NIGHT!!! Don’t give up hope guys, your day is coming…
OK all, I know that these are what you have been waiting for, day two of the Costa Mesa videos!!

This post was actually from Friday, and even though I posted it, it actually only saved it. I apologize for the delay…
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to let you know that Tommy Joe’s dad has passed away. In a tweet from a family friend, the following message was sent through the twitter world:
On Friday 6th August 2010,

and today, Tommy tweeted:

CELEBRITOLOGY 2.0
Was Adam Lambert snubbed by the MTV Video Music Award nominations?
The nominees for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards were announced earlier today and featured a record-setting number of nominations for Lady Gaga (13), as well as nods for Eminem (eight), Florence + The Machine (five) and Justin Bieber (one … wait, one? That kid’s getting his own 3D biopic and he gets just one measly nomination?).
Here’s who didn’t get nominated: Adam Lambert. Members of the former “American Idol” contender’s Glam Nation are ticked off that he didn’t get recognized in at least one category for videos like “If I Had You,” in which he sports a mullet ponytail while rocking out on what appears to be the set for the “Twilight” movies, accompanied by cast members from “Moulin Rouge” and “Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.” (I mean that as a compliment, by the way).
Of course, Lambert fans aren’t the only ones irked by the VMA nominations. Lovers of Rihanna (who received just one nomination), the Black Eyed Peas and Britney Spears are all voicing their objections in blog comments and on Twitter, where the hash tag #MTVFAIL is becoming more popular by the second.
Did MTV really mess up with this year’s nominations? Does it even matter? And most importantly, when will Kanye West Tweet about this pressing issue? (Could be a while. Dude’s on his way to Asia.)
Honestly, the VMAs are so ridiculous that it seems like a waste of energy to even bother getting upset by them. That being said, I have just one question: How on God’s green Earth did “My First Kiss” get nominated for anything? It looks like it was made in 1983. And no, I don’t mean that as a compliment.

I am having withdrawals because I was out of town and without computer access, and now I have to go to the REAL job and I cannot even watch these…bummer. Portland’s Glam Nation show was missing a very special part last night.
In the small video clip below, you will hear Adam explain to the crowd that Tommy was not there with them, because he had a family emergency to tend to. It has been said that Tommy’s father is very ill at this point, which led to Tommy boarding a plane and heading back to California to be with him.
Tommy is hoping to be back with Adam and the band by Friday’s San Francisco show, and we sincerely hope that all goes well enough for that to happen.
In the clip below, you will hear Adam say to keep Tommy Joe in your thoughts, that they are all missing him as much as the crowd was, and that they are sending him positive energy. I would like to request that we ALL do the same…
I know there are other cards on the web to sign for him, but I was thinking of having one from our specific site. What are your thoughts on that? Should we do that for him? Leave me your comments please!!
Oh by the way, I have also included a review as well as the video’s from last night. The vid’s are not that great, I am hoping for more…

Live Review: Adam Lambert, July 21 at Crystal Ballroom
VIA: http://blogs.wweek.com/music/2010/07/22/live-review-adam-lambert-july-21-at-crystal-ballroom/
July 22nd, 2010 [1:10PM] Posted by: JEFF ROSENBERG
BREAKING NEWS: Glambert is the real deal.
And not just because he introduced lasers to the Crystal Ballroom for the first time in memory last night. Because he’s a supremely confident performer who nonetheless projects a charming soupçon of humility onstage. Because his show is precisely ordered and choreographed, yet he still found time to get silly with his dancers and the audience. Because he doesn’t need to stick strictly to the melodies of his songs, but at the same time doesn’t get lost in a mist of melismas. Because he had the balls and taste to perform his hit single, “What Do You Want From Me”, in a stripped-down version accompanied only by acoustic guitar, and played his popular American Idol cover, “Mad World”, in a sped-up and funkier take than the one he did on the show. Because in his exotic recasting of “Ring of Fire”, the gay subtext gives the line “I went down, down, down” a sly new shade of meaning, and because he sings “I fell for you like a cheeeyiiild” with an Axl Rose inflection. Because his skills allow him to transcend sometimes mediocre material. Because his dancers, sets and lighting are beautifully campy without getting Gaga-diculous about it, especially on one number featuring a rear projection of a neon-colored skull in a style reminiscent of native art accompanied by skull-masked dancers (a troupe of four who performed intermittently throughout the night). Because even his in-ear monitors were bedecked with glitter. Because his tight band celebrates diversity with a woman keyboardist, dreadlocked African-American drummer, and, um, Jewish maybe? lead guitarist and musical director, who also happens to play guitar for Madonna (Lambert himself has a Jewish background, by the way; and the band’s bassist was absent on the night due to a family emergency, but wasn’t sorely missed musically). Because he drew a somewhat diverse crowd, if a bit heavy on Beaverton tweens and their soccer moms gleefully singing along to every word. Because his elastic voice requires no auto-tune, yet every run, scream, and growl stays precisely on pitch. Because he ended his show with “Whole Lotta Love,” substituting the gender-neutral “Baby, you need love” for “Woman….”
Because this culture hasn’t been able to tolerate a male glam superstar since Freddie Mercury died, and if someone’s gotta do the job, this good-natured up-and-comer might as well be it. No, of course, he’s no Freddie, nor, seemingly, much of a provocateur (despite kissing a dude at the American Music Awards). His 21st-century take on glam is tamer, less freaky and more squeaky-clean and readily marketable than the style’s past. But an openly gay, creatively open-minded, widely popular artist who can really sing is a very good thing, regardless of what “reality” he may have emerged from. Long may he reign.

This post is to show how wonderful you guys are here at adam-lambert.org!!
As of today, you have donated $625 and that money will reach 1,152 students!! THANK YOU!!
Below, I have posted some of the projects that were on our giving page, because these are now are FULLY FUNDED!! I thought it would be wonderful for all of you to see how grateful these teachers are, and to see their kind words for the donations coming in from our giving page.
This is a HUGE thank you hug from me to you, in honor of EVERYONE that has donated, because it is a really great cause.
If you have not seen our page yet, PLEASE feel free to visit/donate to a project in support of adam-lambert.org “Glam Nation Appreciation” Giving Page.
Below, I have posted the project’s name, followed by the teachers thank you note, and followed up with some of the comments from our Glambs!! Complete awesomeness…
~The project you supported — Wanted: Music Express Magazines= Good news: Project fully funded!
A note from the teacher…
Thank you all so much for your donation! Music and theater play a huge role in my life and I am so happy to be able to share my passion with my students.
Although I am enjoying my summer vacation and time off from school, I am looking forward to returning to school and using my new supplies. I can’t wait to teach my students about the wonders of musical theater! I hope that this will inspire some of them to step out of the box and audition for some of our local productions.
Thank you, again, for helping to enrich the lives of my students.
With gratitude,
Ms. S.
Thank you to the following for donating on our page:
**Marie R from Rochester, NY supporting adam-lambert.org “Glam Nation Appreciation” Giving Page “I gave to this project because I support Adam Lambert who asked us to give donations and not gifts.”
————————————————————-
~The project you supported — Kreative Kids Need Art Supplies= Good news: Project fully funded!
A note from the teacher…
No words can express the appreciation I have for people such as you. Your generous contributions make my rewarding job as an educator, far easier to succeed in. My students attend a very small school which is limited in the type of artistic courses it can offer. By purchasing these art supplies, I will now be able to better fill the gap. Thank you so much for making this idea a reality. Please continue to support other classrooms through DonorsChoose.org. It is a fantastic organization to be a part of. Thank you again for your continued support of education.
With gratitude,
Mrs. H.
Thank you to the following for donating on our page:
** Mary T. from Illinois supporting adam-lambert.org “Glam Nation Appreciation” Giving Page “I gave to this project because I totally believe in learning basic reading, writing, and social skills - I think your project will make that happen. Students will go far in this world when they have those basics and also enjoy learning those things! Also in honor of Adam Lambert’s Glam Nation Tour :)”
**Jen A from Missouri supporting adam-lambert.org “Glam Nation Appreciation” Giving Page “I donated because I remember wanting more books and better music education when I was in school. I hope that this helps you! :)”
————————————————————
~The project you supported — Drumming Up BIG Business= Good news: Project fully funded!
A note from the teacher…
My students LOVE to play drums. Because of your generosity, we will have enough drums so that in my SMALL classes EVERYONE can have a drum, and in my LARGE classes, we will have enough for a partner set-up. We learn playing technique and practice different rhythms while meshing it all into an ensemble setting. Sometimes we have drum circles where individuality and creativity HAPPEN!
My students are so TALENTED but don’t always have opportunities because of socio-economic factors. These are quality instruments, so current students as well as generations to follow, will benefit from your support of the arts!
With gratitude,
Ms. B.
“To Adam and his amazing Glam Fans, THANK you for supporting the arts and my DRUMMING project. With all the cuts in educational funding, the arts are the first to go, but with the support of all of YOU, we will still be able to offer children the opportunity to be musical, creative, and artistic.”
Thank you to the following for donating on our page:
**Toni supporting adam-lambert.org “Glam Nation Appreciation” Giving Page “I gave to this project because to inspire students to learn through music and perhaps one day be as good as Adam Lambert.”

~The project you supported — Art Supplies: Flowers Are Blooming and So Are Little Artists= Good news: Project fully funded!
I can barely contain my excitement that our request for art materials has been funded! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I must especially thank those of you that were inspired to give on behalf of Adam Lambert’s request, through Bing, and for my daughter’s birthday wish. I’m nearly at a loss for words; Kids often use art materials to express themselves when they do not have the words to do so.
These art materials will help preschoolers in my classroom for students with disabilities express their thoughts and encourage creativity. Our students really do enjoy making things and sharing with me and their families. In addition, our students will be able to explore and learn about color, shape, and texture using drawing markers, dot markers, crayons, glitter paint, beads, wiggle eyes, and pipe cleaners. The paper organizers will help us keep all the new construction paper organized by color, too.
Thank you for helping inspire our kids through art!
With gratitude,
Mrs. T.

**A donor supporting adam-lambert.org “Glam Nation Appreciation” Giving Page “Happy 5th birthday, Davalyn! I helped because I’m a strong believer in Arts & Special Needs education. These materials will be great for kids to get creative over & over again through the year. Early exposure to art experiences is important.”

The project you supported — Bored? Not with These Board Books! Special Needs Library= Good news: Project fully funded!
A note from the teacher…
I am amazed once again at the generosity of my friends and sponsors here at Donors Choose. Each of you has played such an important part in funding this board book library for my classroom. It is so encouraging to see so many people sharing a vision of early childhood literacy and knowing that all of you know just how important a print-rich environment is in preschool, especially for students with special learning needs.
Your gift of sturdy board books sized just right for preschoolers or sharing on an adult’s lap will be enjoyed by many kids for years to come. It is my hope that they will develop a love for books that will help set the stage for later independent reading success. My students come from homes where there are limited resources and so many do not have books available there to read. These board books can be read and enjoyed at school, and checked out to be shared at home.
Thank you for helping me provide developmentally appropriate books and exciting stories to my preschoolers with special needs. My next projects will be posted soon: we will need a cozy, comfortable place to read all these wonderful books together, and a nice place to organize and display them at eye-level to preschoolers! I hope you will join me in continuing to promote literacy. Thank you!
With gratitude,
Mrs. T.

Thank you also to Ginger who gave in support of “Projects funded by Bing Users!” I appreciate so much the help you and others from these two groups have been providing to my classroom’s projects. It will be like Christmas in September when packages from DonorsChoose start arriving for my students. I am very excited about this project for my students to receive beautiful, new board books!”

The project you supported — Read All About It!!!= Good news: Project fully funded!
A note from the teacher…
I cannot even begin to tell you all how excited and thankful I am that you have helped to fully fund my project. A love of books and the ability to have access to them is one of the best gifts a child can have. I am grateful that you all share this belief with me and have given my students this opportunity.
These classic titles will encourage my student’s imaginations and provide them with hours of excitement! This classroom library will provide my students with experiences that will make their year more successful. I anticipate reading time to be a hit this school year!
Thank you so much for providing this opportunity to my class. We can’t wait to “read all about it!”

Let us think back a little over a year ago, and who would have thought that Adam Lambert and his Glam Nation would take over the Ryman Auditorium??
Not even Adam himself would have believed it, but that is EXACTLY what happened last night in Nashville, Tennessee. I have given you guys some history behind the Ryman Auditorium, as well as some interviews and of course, the beloved videos!!
Take note in the “Performer’s” section that Adam is already listed, yayayayayay!
Due to the history of this theater, I pulled some wickipedia information to quench your curiosity:
The auditorium first opened as the Union Gospel Tabernacle in 1892. It was built by Thomas Ryman (1843–1904), a riverboat captain and Nashville businessman who owned several saloons. Ryman conceived of the auditorium as a tabernacle for the influential revivalist Samuel Porter Jones.[3] After Ryman’s death, the Tabernacle was renamed Ryman Auditorium in his honor. Famous builder “Mark Ludwig” designed the structure.
It was used for Grand Ole Opry broadcasts from 1943 until 1974, when the Opry built a larger venue just outside Nashville at the Opryland USA theme park. The Ryman then sat mostly vacant and fell into disrepair until 1992 when Emmylou Harris and her band, the Nash Ramblers, performed a series of concerts there (the results of which appeared on her album At the Ryman). The Harris concerts renewed interest in restoring the Ryman, and it was reopened as an intimate performance venue and museum in 1994. Audiences at the Ryman find themselves sitting in pews, the 1994 renovation notwithstanding. The seating is a reminder of the auditorium’s origins as a house of worship, hence giving it the nickname “The Mother Church of Country Music”.
The Ryman Auditorium was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1971, and was further designated a National Historic Landmark in 2001.[2][4]
Miscellaneous:
~The Ryman Auditorium was the venue for The Johnny Cash Show, which ran on the ABC network from 1969 to 1971.
~The Ryman Auditorium was named Pollstar Magazine’s National Theatre of the Year for both 2003 and 2004, beating out such venues as New York’s Radio City Music Hall and Hollywood’s Gibson Universal Amphitheater.
~Each dressing room behind the stage is dedicated to a legendary performer such as Johnny Cash and Minnie Pearl.
~The visitor tour claims that the Ryman Auditorium has been rated as having the second best acoustics in the world (after the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s home, the Salt Lake Tabernacle).
~When the Grand Ole Opry House opened in 1974, a circle approximately five feet in diameter was removed from the Ryman stage’s original floor and inlaid into the stage floor in the new Opry House where it remains today behind the lead singer’s microphone.
~The Grand Ole Opry currently returns to the Ryman Auditorium annually for a run from November through February.
~Because of the 2010 flooding of the Cumberland River that has rendered the current Grand Ole Opry House temporarily unusable, the Ryman Auditorium will be the primary venue for the Grand Ole Opry when it is available. [5] The Ryman Auditorium was unaffected by the flooding.
Performer’s:
Many country music greats have performed at the Ryman since its inception including the legendary Hank Williams, Bill Monroe, Jim Reeves, Roy Acuff, Johnny Cash, Tammy Wynette, Garth Brooks, Patsy Cline, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Emmylou Harris, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Reba McEntire, Conway Twitty, Dolly Parton, Marty Robbins, Ernest Tubb, Dottie West, Crystal Gayle, Gretchen Wilson, Willie Nelson, and The Judds.
Besides country, the venue also features alternative, bluegrass, blues, classical, gospel, jazz, pop, folk, and rock, as well as musical theatre and stand-up comedy shows.
Among the countless other artists who have performed on the Ryman stage are Tegan and Sara, Paramore, Cheap Trick, Seal, 70 Volt Parade, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Presley, The Black Crowes, Tallulah Bankhead, Ethel Barrymore, Sarah Bernhardt, Victor Borge, Jackson Browne, Ryan Adams, Damien Rice, Bright Eyes, Fanny Brice, James Brown, The Byrds, Neil Young, Enrico Caruso, Carol Channing, Charlie Chaplin, Kelly Clarkson, Neil Diamond, Ani DiFranco, Bob Dylan, Wilco, Elvis Costello, Oasis, R.E.M., The String Cheese Incident, O.A.R., Hootie & the Blowfish, W. ~WHEN ADAM MET ADAM!
Wednesday 07-07-2010 3:40pm CT

Not gonna lie, I am a fan of the glam. Maybe a lot more now that I just kicked it with Adam Lambert for a couple hours at work.
Glambert and I met on stage. The fireworks happened and the energy created was not like any other interview I’ve ever done.
<
We talked of all things Nashville, The Ryman, of course guyliner, his new tattoo he got in Atlanta, and we even busted out into some GaGa karaoke. Eventhough he was a little timid about singing.
Stalk the pics. Watch the video. Relive the excitment if you were there, and live it for the first time if you weren't. Whatever you do, just LIVE in the moment! Click here to see all--> 107.5 The River

~Adam Lambert singing “ring of fire” on the ryman stage. Johnny Cash would approve and probably wear guyliner in support.
~I am sooo hot and bothered. Somebody give me two of him tonight please!?!?!

I can honestly say that Adam has just taken over every inch of my heart, after I read this tweet from him last night.
@adamlambert~Tonights show was dedicated to Mary Lou Moscheo
For those that were not aware of the meaning behind that tweet, here is a message from a friend of mine on facebook:
**Adam Fans… Mary Lou Moscheo passed away last night (July 2, 2010) and everyone is tweeting to Adam to dedicate the show on the 7th that she was looking soooo forward to going too.. RIP Mary Lou.. you will be missed by many..**

Glittery God’s, we bow down and thank you for you have sent us this beautiful and glittery creation that continuously blows our minds away night, after night, after night!! Last night was certainly no exception, as you will see in these fabulous videos from the beautiful, Tennessee Theater!!
I was lucky to get a phone call after the show from our very own site fans, Kymmie and Lyn, who were lucky enough to be at the show last night! We became friends after meeting up at the Fantasy Springs concert and now we can’t go a few days without touching base, so I was thrilled for them to FINALLY get to be going to this show. I knew what they were in for and couldn’t wait for them to finally experience it for themselves!!
They were up close and personal, and said that he was UN-believable!! Covered in head to toe with glitter and sparkles, he was absolutely gorgeous. I have asked them to send me pics if they would like, as well as their personal story too.
I am so happy that they called me to share their experience. As they were waiting outside for the buses, they were talking a mile a minute, and it was so fun to hear them chatting with the people around them. It was like I was there. The next thing I know, I hear them ask Longineu if he’d give a shout out to Sue, from adam-lambert.org!! Wait, WHAT??? Before I even know what is happening, I am on the phone with him and he is telling me how he wished I was there, and how the energy was so amazing!! I had seen on twitter that he had cut his hand, so I told him that I hoped it felt better soon. He was so cute and soft spoken talking about the show. At the end, I was telling him that I would be at the Costa Mesa and Vegas shows, so not to worry, I’d see him again soon. I am sure he wasn’t worried, lol. We said our good-bye’s and that was that, CAN YOU EVEN BELIEVE THAT?? Kymmie and Lyn, YOU ROCK!! You know that already though, right?
I then accompanied them, by phone, on their ride to their hotel and was treated to the entire night’s happenings along the way. Songs, details, and everything in between. Hopefully they will be up for sending us the whole story…
For now though, CHECK OUT THESE VIDEO’S, it’s amazing what a few days off will do…

Not too much more to add since you have all seen the videos from that night on Carol’s post, right?? Were they not ridiculously awesome?? He was stellar, gorgeous, and to-die-for… what more is there really??

Well, maybe a little info to go along with the pictures would be good…
As you will be able to see by the angle of my pictures, I was down the stage from Carol and her gang, to her right. The barricades were empty down there as we got in and that put us right in front of Tommy. Seeing as this concert was 21 and over, that meant my daughter Jess could not get in. Being in the front row was not something I wanted to do without her, but I figured that if I could score some great pictures, she would LOVE that. I did my best!
My friend, Jenny, and I were talking to the people around us and we befriended the two people to my right, Marti and Johnny. They were huge Adam fans, which you will see by the look on Johnny’s face when Adam hits the stage!! Priceless!! We had fun talking about who was going to jump onstage first, haha!!
As we were all waiting patiently inside, this lucky guy got to sit down and have a chat with Adam!! He is definitely an Adam fan, and they are just chatting it up… um, hello, can you get a move on, people are waiting for you Adam!!

Our view of the stage:

Ori’s Guitarist:
We had fun watching Orianthi’s guitarist, right in front of us!! After the set, she smacked hands with us and told us that we ROCKED!! Orianthi’s drummer gave his drum stick to our new friend Marti, and Jenny and Johnny both got picks from Ori!! That was awesome as well.

UM, are you looking at me????

HI Adam, remember me?? Sue, from Oprah?….yeah right, lol!

Tongue action:

and again:

A fav of mine:

As I was in the concert, Jess talked her dad into bringing her to the venue to see if she could see the band again after the show. YES, she is her daddy’s little girl, even though she is almost 16!! She is also a very lucky girl, as you can see, because she was able to get her picture taken with Longineu this time! He was too fast for us to catch in Milwaukee, so it was cool for her to meet him again after being on Oprah with him.
Jess and Longineu:

We put Jess to work and had her take a picture of the newfound friends:
Johnny, Marti, Jenny, and ME!

Of course, the highlight was having Tommy come out and talk to Jess again!! As I told him that she “sweet talked” her dad into bringing her, he apologized to her for for not being able to get in to the concert (as if it was HIS fault). As he was telling her how Allison and Taylor couldn’t perform either, he was digging in his pocket to see if he had a guitar pick for her. Unfortunately, he couldn’t find one but just the time he spent talking to her alone was priceless. As they talked, she handed him a cute fan letter that she had written just for him, and he asked, “What’s this?”. She explained to him that it was just a thank you for being so nice to her in Milwaukee. He then asked what her twitter name was and sure enough…he thanked her, in a tweet, a few days later!! He also made sure we got another picture of the two of them! Ahhh, to be so young and beautiful!
Great memories that will last a lifetime…
Tommy and Jess:

As we add another chapter in our Adam Lambert scrapbook, keep in mind to ALWAYS think positive because dreams really do come true!!

A chat with Glambert
Just a couple of days after winning his first ever mainstream award at the Much Music Video Awards in Toronto, Mybliss, caught up with Adam Lambert. He told us all about winning at the MMVA’s, bumping into JLS and his amazing new single Whataya Want From Me.
Bliss: Hi Adam! Congratulations on winning your MMVA. What was it like to win?
Adam: Thank you! It was great, I remember saying when I received the award that I’m not used to winning! I can’t believe I won. I thought I would be the runner up.
B: So have you ever practiced winning an award then when no ones watching with your shampoo bottle?
A: No, no maybe I should try it!
B: So Snooki from Jersey Shore presented you with the award, and you’re pretty experimental with your hairstyles, would you rock a Snooki hair quiff?
A: I don’t think that will be happening any time soon!
B: When you singing WWFM you are full of emotion, are you thinking of anyone in particular?
A: I usually kind of put myself in the position of acting for the public. I think that’s what’s great about the song, that it kind of has a double meaning. One way it could be about certain relationships, but on the other hand it’s also about relationships with the public. That’s how I read into it.
B: You’re on the Glam nation Tour at the moment, if you were the ruler of a Glam Nation, what would be your most important rules?
A: I think the most important rule for the Glam Nation would be that you need to be proud and secure with who you are. That’s where it kind of all comes from, obviously there are lots of glitter and rhinestones and camp thrown into the whole thing, but at the heart of it would be, owning your own walk, being your own person.
B: On tour you dance with your backing dancers for For Your Entertainment - are you a bit of a show off on the dance floor in a club?
A: It depends on the situation really, sometimes I really like to dance and throw it out and at other times I am just a bit of a sit on the couch kind of guy.
B: So do you enjoy getting involved in dance routines?
A: Oh yeah, yeah I love to.
B: So when on stage, Beyonce channels her alter ego Sasha Fierce, do you have an alter ego ?
A: No I don’t have an alter ego, I mean its definitely an amplified version of myself, like exaggerated you know.
B: Do you ever have moments where you don’t feel so fierce, where you don’t want to perform?
A: There are times when its like ok, I’m tired but usually, especially on this tour when I hit the stage, I get charged right up!
B: We saw a picture of you with JLS at the MMA’s did you have a chat with them?
A: Yeah they seemed like really nice guys, but I only got to speak to them very briefly.
B: You actually look like you could have been in the band. Have you ever considered going down the boy band route?
A: No that’s probably not for me!
B: Okay, but if you were in a boy band, what would be you signature move or sound to set you apart?
A: Um….I’d probably get into trouble for trying to get crazy with the other boy band members!
B: So you can hit some pretty high notes, have you reached the Mariah Carey garage door opening league yet?
A: No, not the dog whistle thing yet. It is something that I am working on though!
B: Would you ever consider going back to Broadway?
A: Yeah I would be interested in that. I think that right now my focus is definitely on my music and recording. So what I am doing now is like a step in a new direction for me and I am really enjoying where I am at right now.
B: Your fans are pretty obsessed with how you look, do you feel as though you’re under pressure to look glam all the time?
A: Yeah I mean, I think that if I just wore a t-shirt and jeans it wouldn’t work - that’s what I would dress like if I was just going about my day. I think that there is a certain persona that I have set up for myself but I think its good.
B: So do you think that you would feel naked if you went on stage without your hair done and your makeup?
A: Yeah I would probably feel a bit naked, probably a little bit exposed.
B: So have you ever committed the cardinal sin of wearing your makeup to bed?
A: I have done it a couple of times before… I don’t think that it has ever been intentional but I sometimes fall asleep after having one to many drinks!
B: Do you have any must-have makeup products you just cant live without?
A: You have to have eyeliner, that’s a given. Mac, they have this eyeliner called Smoulder, that’s pretty much perfect.
B: Your glitter buddy, Ke$ha, she said that you were a good kisser, would you like to comment on her kissing skills?
A: Ha. She was great she is a great kisser too. She is adorable, I love her. We get along quite well. Unfortunately we are always both so busy so we don’t get to spend much time together though but she is a lot of fun.
B: Have you ever worked together, would you like to work together?
A: No we haven’t, but possibly I think that would be good.
B: So Taylor Lautner recently claimed that he had never missed an episode of Idol, are you a Twilight fan?
A: Yeah I like the Twilight movies, they’re fun. I probably prefer Taylor.
B: Have you had any crazy fan experiences?
A: No not really, my fans are really good and really passionate, they pop up everywhere so that’s always fun!
B: So no one has tattooed your face on their arm?
A: Actually there have been a couple of people who have tattooed my name on to their arm…it happened only the other night. There was this woman who wanted me to draw on her arm with a marker so she could get a tattoo of my signature. I feel a a mixture and shock and flattery!
B: If you had a day off, what would be your ideal day?
A: Lately, I just love relaxing. If I have been busy working its nice to relax when we have been on tour. Yesterday we had a day off so its really nice to do something leisurely and we took a boat out. It was great. It was really relaxing and we just had a glass of wine. We had fishing rods with us and went fishing. We were just like why not?
B: Do you get many days off or is it few and far between?
A: Um, every two to three days, sometimes after 4 days. I’ll be working really hard on tour and singing every night.
B: So you are pretty well in with people like Perez Hilton, but how do you think it must be for the people who are on the other side of nasty gossip?
A: I think that it comes with the territory. It is kind of part of this place, I mean I think I would prefer it if people were more positive in general, but I think its part of what we do. So you just kind of roll with the punches.
B: What has been your most standout moment since American Idol?
A: I have a really great time making videos, I think that is like a really exciting thing for an artist. You know, because you have to create a visual image to go along with a great song, so I think that those are always really exciting for me!
B: What’s next for you then? Are you coming back to the UK?
A: Yeah I’ll be coming in the fall. The dates haven’t been confirmed yet but we are working on bringing the tour over there so that should be fun. For now, I’m going to continue touring and that’s exciting. And after that I think that I will start working on some new material.
B: What did you do the last time you were here?
A: I went out a couple of times, you know did kind of a little bit of socialising. We went to restaurants and clubs and that kind of thing, I love doing it.
B: Did you meet any nice Brit boys?
A: No no I didn’t. I didn’t really have enough time.
B: What do you think of the British accent?
A: I love it, I love the whole culture, the history, I love the wit. I think I can see myself living there - I love it.
B: Thanks a million for talking to mybliss.
A: Thank you! It has been my pleasure.

Congratulations also to everyone that voted If I Had You to the top spot, you know who you are!!!
Great way to start the holiday weekend,

Congrats to Adam Lambert. The music video for his single, “If I Had You” is #1 on the VH1 Top 20 Countdown this week, knocking Usher into the #2 spot.
He’s the first artist to have 2 #1s on the countdown in 2010. His previous single, “Whataya Want From Me” also climbed to #1 on the countdown.
“If I Had You” entered the countdown at #20 on 6/19 (after the video debuted on VH1.com 6/14). It climbed to the #10 spot on 6/26 before it leaped to #1 today.
Fan voting helps determine the composition of the weekly chart, so a big shout-out is also in order to the peeps who helped vote Adam into the #1 spot. Congrats all around!

If you had not seen the Adam/Elvis comparison before, well you certainly can see it now!! Check out the picture below, re-tweeted by Monte and then by Adam himself, of Adam side-by-side with a picture of Elvis… such striking similarities, even down to the hairline on the side of his head!
This has got to be sparking some crazy kind of feelings within Adam and his family! Can you imagine the realization factor? Hey, look mom, I look like Elvis in this picture…haha…wait, OH MY….!
In a recent interview, he was asked if he had seen the resemblance, and he had stated that he had NOT but that the fans had started to bring it up. Well Adam, do you see it now???

International pop sensation, Adam Lambert, called TMF’s Joe for a natter about boats, Bowie and boys.

~Where are you at the moment?
I am in Norfolk, Virginia.
~How’s the tour going?
It’s good! It’s really good. The audiences have been sold out every time, every venue we’ve been at. It’s really exciting. I’m having a blast.
~Cool. How do you find life on the road?
It’s good. It’s a lot of work. I mean, it is hard.
~Do you ever get chance to relax?
Yeah. I had a day off yesterday. It was really great. Some of my band and my dancers rented a fishing boat and, you know there’s not a lot to do in Norfolk, Virginia so we were like, “ok, What can we do?”. So, we found this boat and cruised around Chesapeake Bay and did some fishing and, you know, why not?
~Yeah, sounds fun. You’ve got a really, really passionate fan base. What’s the strangest thing one of your fans has done?
Erm, you know I get interesting gifts sometimes. Like, I get really sweet gifts but then sometimes it’s like handmade tchotchkes and you’re like “ok…thanks?”.
~Do you find there’s a lot of pressure on you? Like, the whole tour is on your head?
The pressure hasn’t gotten to me. I’m fortunate for that. When I get up on stage I do realise that if I’m not feeling it…it’s all on my shoulders. I definitely step up to the plate when I hit the stage. I have to. It can be draining in that regard, but it’s hard to mind because the audiences have been so intense. They give you a lot of energy.
~Do you ever miss your Broadway days?
Not yet. Part of the reason I wanted to go into this was because I wanted to be myself on stage. I wanted to be my own artist and I think that that’s been the most important part.
~Is there anything in your career that you want to do, but haven’t yet had the opportunity?
I would like to do some acting work, but I haven’t yet and there isn’t anything booked. It’s something that I’m curious about. I think it’d be really cool to be in a film.
~If you were to undergo a dramatic pop transformation (ala David Bowie, Madonna etc), what would you like to reinvent yourself into?
I don’t know. I guess if I wanted to do something really drastic, I’d go the complete opposite way from all the glam. You know? Do something really conservative just for the fuck of it, you know?
~Yeah, just you and a piano?
Yeah. In a plain suit and no make-up…But you know what, I’ve done that before. I don’t know if it would surprise anybody. That was kind of my schtick on Idol.
~Is there anyone who you’d like to collaborate with?
I’ve been really fortunate already, but I think it would be really amazing to collaborate with David Bowie. I think that would be incredible, but I think he’s pretty M.I.A.
~So, I read on Wikipedia that you’re “the first openly gay mainstream pop artist to launch a career on a major label in America”. Do you feel any responsibility to represent gay people in the American mainstream?
Not really. That’s definitely been an interesting point. I feel like, I’m honoured to be a part of that community and I’m honoured to be identified as the first blah-blah-blah-blah, but I think the thing about it is the only person I’m responsible for representing is myself. I think that it’s kind of ignorant to assume that just because I am one of the few, I have to represent a whole group of people.
~It’s interesting that there are so few openly gay people in the American media. You can only assume there are people who hide their sexuality. Do you think it’s hard for people to be gay in the American media?
Yeah, it’s really hard. I think there’s a reason why a lot of people in the entertainment industry are private about it. It becomes so exploited and sensationalised by the media in general. It’s all anybody wants to talk about. There is good that comes from that, because it raises visibility, it’s good for young people growing up who maybe need role models. I see that there is good that comes from it, but I also think that it can quickly overshadow the product that I have, which is music. Who I’m in bed with on my private time doesn’t mean that this is a good song or a bad song, you know what I mean?
~Do you think it might affect the number of female fans you’ve got?
I actually think it’s probably picked me up more female fans. It’s a catch-22. There’s probably the girl who’s like, “Oh he’s gay, so I’m not into it” and there’s the next girl that’s like “oh, he’s gay, I like that”.
~And like you say, it should really be your songs that you’re judged on.
Yeah, I think the people that are listening to my music are there because they like my music.
~Are you in a relationship at the moment?
No, I’m single.
~What kind of guy do you go for?
Pretty boys.
~Will you be going to any pride festivals?
My schedule is like PACKED, so probably no pride festivals this year. I was really excited that I got to close gay pride in Sydney though, a couple of months back. That was really fun.
~Tell me about your single, ‘Whataya Want From Me’.
Yeah. It was written by Pink, and Max Martin. It’s a great song. I think it holds a really universal message which is that moment in any sort of relationship which is, “I like you, but I’m overwhelmed and I’m vulnerable right now and it’s kind of freaking me out. I need a second”. I think it’s something we can all relate to.
~What have you got coming up in the near future?
I’m on tour here in the States until September and then we go international. We go over to Asia, South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and then we do Japan and then we go over to the UK.
The second single, ‘Whataya Want From Me’, from Adam’s debut album, For Your Entertainment is out in the UK on July 19th

Adam represents a change in perception, he has pushed boundaries to the brink of what we believe, he has proven his claim that “sexy is sexy”. Adam is conquering the world with his powerful alpha personality, audacious masculine beauty, his openness, intelligence, whimsical charm and the most technically beautiful voice in the music industry today.
The paragraph you just read is actually the last paragaraph of this article. I LOVED the ending paragraph, so I put it first because I can…bahahaha.
Seriously though, re-read those words and tell me you didn’t get the chills as you finished it. Every word in that paragraph is exceptionally correct. Many thanks to the universe for creating this spectacular specimen of the ultimate alpha male. He is absolutely changing, pushing, and conquering, but ultimately he is living proof that “sexy is sexy”.
Now feel free to read this article by Kerry Kolsch in it’s entirety, it explains alot!!!

***THANK YOU TO CAROL FOR FINDING THIS IN THE FOLLOWING VIDEO, AND FOR SENDING IT TO ME TO SHARE WITH YOU***
At 2:31 he starts screaming “get out” and then I think this is when he kicks the security guard blocking the fan and then he says the “take my picture bitch” comment at 2:47. What a true Alpha man, as the other delicious article says!!

The Glam Nation Tour did it’s thing last night in Norfolk, Virginia, and once again was SMOKING HOT!!
I have to admit that I don’t always sit and watch every second of every video as I am posting them. Not because I am not interested of course, but because I have to do “real life” things as well. I have to say though, that on a day like today, when I just let them play a little longer than usual… it just brings goosebumps to my arms to hear that man’s voice!! Not only when he sings either, I love hearing him laugh and speak too!! This version of Whole Lotta Love was outstanding once again, and Soaked was breathtakingly beautiful…
It is just mesmerizing…. happy day everyone!!!
A huge thank you to @tawneej for this gorgeous photobucket album of pictures from this concert!!
Thank you, as well, to all these fans that took great videos. I appreciate them!!!

Adam Lambert Talks Importance Of Rhinestones, Pre-Show ‘Rituals’
‘We get in front of the mirror and kind of play every night,’ Lambert tells MTV News of makeup artist Sutan on Glam Nation Tour.
By Jim Cantiello/mtv.com
Believe it or not, Adam Lambert does not wake up with rhinestones affixed to his cheekbones. The pop star, currently headlining his in-demand Glam Nation Tour, gets creative with his glittery stage makeup moments before showtime.
“We get in front of the mirror and kind of play every night,” Lambert told MTV News backstage at a recent sold-out New York City tour stop. “We just create and it’s fun. So sometimes there’s like rhinestones stuck all over [the] side of my head. Sometimes we give a little Eastern bindi action. Sometimes there [are] no stones whatsoever,” he added.
The “we” Lambert was referring to includes makeup guru Sutan, who has long been among Lambert’s circle of friends. But fans may know the flamboyant makeup artist from his stint on “America’s Next Top Model.”
“He’s so funny and has such a great energy, and I really like his work,” Lambert gushed.
Rhinestones and face glue, however, aren’t the only tools Adam needs to prep for a show. In order to maintain his powerhouse, octave-jumping voice, Lambert has finally zeroed in on a secret weapon: aerobics.
“I never used to be one to do any sort of ritual before I performed and just recently, at the start of this tour, I decided to start coming up with a routine. And it’s really helped me,” the singer said. “I exercise; I do like a cardio thing. If I’m in a hotel with a treadmill I either run for 20 minutes or I get on a stationary bike,” Lambert continued. “It makes you feel good, it gets the endorphins going. It also kind of helps warm up the voice. And then I do a [proper] vocal warm-up.”
As fun as the face painting is, the “Idol” star knows that ultimately, it’s all about delivering the music. “Those two things — just a little exercise and that vocal warm-up — keep me at my best. With fans “waiting out on the street, people are so dedicated, they deserve the best,” Lambert said.
His Glam Nation Tour continues through September, before heading overseas later this fall.

The Glam Nation experience continued on last night into Baltimore, Maryland. The Ram’s Head Live was another SOLD OUT venue. It looks to be a very intimate place, as you can see by the people on the balconies just off to the side!!

Who can remember where they were when they broke the news about Michael Jackson’s passing? That was definitely a day I will never forget, and it was already a year ago. Where has the time gone??
Here is a snippet video of Adam and other’s giving their thoughts on the King of Pop…
ENJOY:
video via:etonline.com
Rob Pattinson, Adam Lambert, Melissa Etheridge and more stars shared their thoughts about the one-year anniversary of the King of Pop Michael Jackson’s death.
“Michael Jackson has been a huge influence on me,” Lambert said. “I mean you really look at male pop stars, and the theatrical ones who really took it to the limit are few and far between. Michael still in my mind owns the label ‘King of Pop.’ He did things that nobody else will ever come close to doing,” Lambert told ET.
Pattinson called Jackson “amazing,” adding that he was “probably in the top three most original artists of this century.”
“I was a huge Michael Jackson fan and I can’t believe it’s been a year already. We certainly miss him but his music will live forever,” New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez told ET.
Etheridge, for her part, expressed her sadness over his early death at age 50, saying, “I grew up with Michael Jackson.”
Watch our video for more remembrances from the stars. Michael Jackson passed away suddenly on June 25, 2009.
