It seems that those who are privy enough to get a listening session of Adam’s new tracks are simply blown away. If you can make it through all of the colorful adjectives and adverbs in this write-up, you may have a mind-blowing experience yourself! Actually, I’m quite happy that Lyndsey Parker of Reality Rocks Yahoo Music Blog is so unabashedly impressed. But where is the listening session for a Glamb? Sniff, sniff…

Preview Alert!: Reality Rocks’ Adam Lambert Listening Session
Okay, dear readers, please excuse any typos in the following blog entry. I am to be excused, since my brain is so boggled after getting to visit the 19 Entertainment offices and privately preview three Adam Lambert songs from his upcoming superglamtastic and very aptly titled debut album, For Your Entertainment (out November 23). My black-fingernailed fingers are quivering in almost too palsy-stricken a manner to type, but at the same time I am too excited about the audio glitterbombs that have been blasted directly into my unsuspecting ear canals to wait until I’m fully coherent to share my giddy thoughts. I’d be waiting a good long while, really.
Yes, the music was THAT good, people. It was EXACTLY the extraterrestrial electro-opus I hoped and dreamed it would be. You know how the Glamerican Idol recently told Entertainment Weekly that his album would sound “as if a ’70s time-capsule blasted off into space and you’re watching it through a holographic filter”? Well, yeah, that sums it up pretty awesomely; I honestly don’t know if I can actually top such brilliant wordage. Perhaps Adam should just have my job…if he weren’t so busy reinventing the pop wheel, being fabulous, making plans for world domination, daring to dance in the path of greatness, etc.
Now, I know some fans (including myself, to some degree) were thrown a curveball by “Time For Miracles,” Adam’s classic-rock-leaning, Aerosmithian 2012 power-ballad that didn’t seem all that spacey or holographic, to be honest. Certainly that song especially appealed to Adam fans partial to his Idol performances of hoary perennials like Zep’s “Whole Lotta Love,” U2’s “One,” Aerosmith’s “Cryin’,” and Steppenwolf’s “Born To Be Wild,” but it was hardly the “rock-pop-electronic-dance thing” Adam once titillatingly promised.
However, Adam Lambert is a complex man with a multiple musical personality, and so I can tell you all, based on the three tracks I heard, For Your Entertainment sounds NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, like “Time For Miracles.” These freaky-deaky songs, in all their wondrously neon-lit, mirror-balled, future-shocked, robot-rockin’ glory, almost don’t even sound like they were recorded by the same artist, the same human being…except for the fact that that voice is unmistakable, of course.
The time for miracles really has arrived now, in the fierce form of these sneak-previewed tracks:
“Entertainment” - The default title track and statement of intent, masterminded by Dr. Luke (Katy Perry) and Claude Kelly (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson), Adam opens this one up, Rocky Horror-meets-Robbie Williams-style, with the audacious declaration: “I’m here for your entertainment!” And he ain’t kidding. This is an ultra-caffeinated party-starter (imagine if Mika, Sam Sparro, and Kevin Rudolf had a threesome that resulted in the conception of a glittery alien baby…if you dare), and it’s just begging to be remixed by everyone from Calvin Harris to the Neptunes to Justice–even though it sounds like a shiz-hawt remix already, as is.
“Winners” - A slinky, sexy, salacious dance-rock grinder with a keening, near-orgasmic vocal reminiscent of Adam’s watershed “Ring Of Fire” performance, this Rob Cavallo-produced cut cracks open in the middle like a giant whitechocolatespaceegg to reveal a colossal, fist-pumping, Gary-Glittery chantalong chorus that seems lifted straight out of “We Will Rock You 2: Electric Boogaloo.” So my guess is Queen’s Brian May will be impressed by this massive masterwork, too. A winner, indeed.
“Music Again” - Okay, this is the song, also produced by Rob Cavallo, largely responsible for my current lack of coherence or composure. The minute this glammy tour de force forced its way out of the 19 Entertainment office’s speakers, it was so white-hot I was instantly reduced to a puddle of melted spandex and runny eyeliner. A falsetto gang chorus like something off a lost Sweet outtakes album, squalling guitar riffs, pumping “Funkytown” beats…my head was pretty much exploding at this point, but I managed to hold my cranium together long enough to turn to a nearby 19 employee and jokingly state, “This sounds like the Darkness, if the Darkness were remixed.” To which the employee answered, “That’s funny you say that, because this song was actually written by [legendarily unitarded Darkness frontman] Justin Hawkins, and that’s Justin on guitar.”
Please read that above sentence again closely, people, and allow the full weight of its awesomeness to sink in. Adam Lambert + Justin Hawkins. ADAM LAMBERT + JUSTIN HAWKINS! Best. Collabo. Ever. Two of the most righteously rockin’ and elastically vocal-corded rock gawds of the past 10 years, two of this decade’s lone keepers of the glam-rock flame, together at last. As a diehard Darkness fan, I still believe in a thing called love…and I loved this song so much that at this point in the listening session, what was left of my poor throbbing head exploded, and shards of my caved-in skull went flying in all directions across the 19 office like the debris from a busted piñata. I apologize to the 19 office’s evening cleaning crew in advance. But hey, I could not help it. Let me state this again, just to be clear: Adam Lambert + Justin Hawkins. Such a skull-shatteringly awesome duet even deserves a new name-smash: Hawkbert. Or maybe Lamkins. Yesssssss.
Wham, bam, thank you Madam, for the glam. I can’t wait to hear (and write about) more, if my head can take it…

P.S. Don’t forget to send your birthday project pics to tourphotos@glambs.org by Nov. 20th!
This is the first installment of “Glambs in Motion”…all about dedicated Adam Lambert fans who are doing something a little unique and special with their fanship on the Internet. Thanks, Christa for letting us feature you and your amazing photo collection!

Introducing Christa, Glamb #178 who is also known as Adam_L_Photos on Twitter, and is a member of GlambsTexas:

Autobiography:
My name is Christa Williams. I am 32 and from Corpus Christi, TX. I have liked Adam Lambert since day one on Idol. Each week I couldn’t wait to see what he would do with his amazing talents. It wasn’t until Idol ended however that I became a FAN…not until I realized that there were Adam fansites out there to feed me all the Adam I was craving!! That is when I found the Glambs and immediatley became a proud member, Glamb # 178. The Glambs helped me realize that there are other people out there who agreed with me…that Adam Lambert is more than just an American Idol contestant…he is a legend in the making! When I realized this I wanted everything Adam…pictures, songs, videos…I’m sure you can all relate.
I got a twitter account because I wanted to be able to see what was being said about Adam, and by him as well. This is when I decided to start a twitter account that sent out Adam pics on a daily basis. I know I love the sites out there that send out news on Adam daily…and I wanted to send out pics for people who want as much Adam as they can get as well! So @Adam_L_Photos was born…and now has over 400 followers. If you want to see the pictures I’ve posted on twitter so far along with fan comments you can see them here. If you want to see the whole collection you can go to my photobucket page.
If you would like to be considered as a “Glamb in Motion,” email your complete information, including a bio to webmistress@glambs.org. I’ll try to cover as many as possible in the next few weeks. ~Dana, Glamb #6
The dribbles and drabs of teasers leaking out here and there about Adam are just killing me! I want it all…NOW! Enjoy the Entertainment Tonight video from his photo shoot for Details Magazine (Adam said it was “sweaty”), and any new album info you may not have seen from this VH1 article taken from Entertainment Weekly:
While Adam Lambert’s debut album doesn’t hit stores for more than a month, the “American Idol” runner-up is offering fans some hints about what they can expect.
In the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, Lambert says he was influenced by the Killers and Muse for the yet-untitled LP. “It’s as if a ’70s time capsule blasted off into space and you’re watching it through a holographic filter,” he said. “That’s my big vision. … Glam is back, mother—-ers.”
Lambert told the magazine that he struggled while deciding on a sound for the album. “When I got off the ‘Idol’ tour, I had a little identity crisis,” he explained. “I was like, ‘What do I wanna do?’ ”
Lambert worked with Rob Cavallo and former Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins on “Music Again” and has a song written by Pink and Max Martin, “What Do You Want From Me?” “It works on a relationship level, but I also relate to the sense of talking to the public,” he said. “Like, ‘This whole thing’s a little freaked out, but please have faith in me, because I won’t disappoint you.’ ”
He wrote the song “Strut” with “Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi, and he said, “It’s a Gary Glitter/ T.Rex-type empowerment lyric. You’re not gonna find love and happiness unless you let your hair down and strut your stuff.”
Lambert co-wrote “Loaded Smile” with Linda Perry, and it’s not quite as glittery as “Strut.” “It’s a bit dark, with all the vocals in falsetto,” he said. “It feels like you’re floating in space.”
The album will span many genres, Lambert said, so he doesn’t get stuck in one lane. “I don’t think an album has to have one sound. … I don’t like boxing myself into a genre,” he said. “But if I had to pick one major style, the classic-rock stuff is where I was most comfortable on the show — or at least that’s what people saw me as the most.
“I wanna rock, I want people to dance, I want people to cry, I want people to smile and laugh,” he said. “I wanna play dress-up!”

***Updated*** The first link to “Time for Miracles” was removed by YouTube…I’m not surprised because it probably should not have been leaked. There is another source that has been done with a montage. The link is below, but that one may not last long either if links are being taken down. Listen while you can. BUY IT when available in your area.***
I knew you guys would want to listen ASAP and comment. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for versions with better sound (although this one wasn’t bad when I listened with all my speakers). Yeah, as we expected, the song is pretty amazing!
Favorite line of lyrics: “When all I know is trapped inside your eyes.” What’s yours?
Enjoy!

It’s all a blur.
Two new Glamb groups are online - one for British Columbia, Canada and the other for Virginia and the Washington, D.C. area. Join them if you live nearby! I’m hoping Florida and a few more locations will be online shortly. If you’ve lost track, a join link for each of the 12 area groups can be found here.
The Ontario, Canada group is planning a movie and dinner get-together for the opening night of “2012.” The UK team is plotting something special for the drop date of Adam’s album. Many other groups are having fun chatting, sharing information, getting to know each other, and recruiting more Glambs at every turn! In addition, several of the group leaders have created area Twitter accounts and have been helping with tweets and retweets to spread the love. And our first team project is about to get underway, using the functionality of Yahoo’s groups…so now is the time to get in on the ground floor, or to start that new group for your area by emailing me at webmistress@glambs.org.
A few more tidbits:
- #timeformiracles trended to the No. 1 slot on Twitter on Sunday morning. It was fun and exciting to participate from GlambsFansite. We were definitely on a roll!
- A new poll is up on the glambs.org homepage - Go check it out!
Coming soon, I’ll be featuring a series of blog posts here entitled “Glambs in Motion.” These will be fans from the area groups that have been doing special things to help Adam’s career. It’s time they got a few kudos and a little recognition for a job well done. Stay tuned!

Hopefully, BC Canada, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Louisiana will be online shortly. If you volunteered for one of these areas and have not accepted the invitation from Yahoo to join both the moderator and your area team group, don’t delay! Your invitation will expire! We need to move relatively quickly so my queue of incoming groups doesn’t start to backup. And in some cases, others have also volunteered to lead some of these same areas, and I don’t want to keep them waiting too long. If you have changed your mind or I have overlooked you, please let me know!
Overall, I really appreciate everyone’s enthusiasm! A special thank you goes to the ladies who have already volunteered to lead and moderate their groups. Thanks for pressing forward, even if you were unsure about the technology challenges! Now that’s dedication to Adam and his fans!

Not only did she land an interview with Barnaby of the “Barnaby and Friends” morning radio show on WLHT 95.7 in Grand Rapids, but when Barnaby interviewed Adam she got mentioned! Who am I speaking of? It is our one and only Jeanette, of course!
Now personally, I think Jeanette should have gotten more credit for Barnaby’s question regarding Adam’s cruise ship photo in front of the Twin Towers right before 9/11. I doubt that Barnaby would have known that information without Jeanette! But hey, any mention of Glambs and a fan is a good thing. It’s all good.
So all hail Jeanette! Here’s Barnaby’s interview with Adam:

Well, it is not likely that the Glambs are going to win the Adam Lambert charitable contribution challenge with DonorsChoose…but, it is not about the winning, it is about the giving!
As I’m typing, our fansite total is $2,762 with 59 donors having contributed, impacting 4,193 students. That is pretty awesome nonetheless!
It is still not too late to contribute. The challenge ends Sept. 20:
Contribute to DonorsChoose via Glambs
DonorsChoose had a few updates today that they wanted us to pass along. Firstly, donation contributions are fluctuating for two reasons:
1. It seems that some people realized they contributed via a “wrong” fansite, and now they want their contribution credited to the fansite of their choice, and
2. Donations that have been promised via check have been rolled back if the check has not been received. So don’t forget to follow up with your check if that was how you promised to contribute!
The overall DonorsChoose goal is $150,000 by the end of the contest…whoa! I know everything we have donated toward the final total will have come from the heart!

I hope you all don’t mind a few more Adam pics!
This Chicago concert review is from Alicia, who was gracious enough to send some awesome pics to tourphotos@glambs.org as well! A self-admitted lurker, Alicia may make her first forum appearance after this post. This is an excerpt of her experience:
“I was lucky enough to attend the show in Chicago from 6th row! I went with a friend, she was a Danny fan, me Adam.
I got to meet Matt, Danny, Michael and Scott at the afternoon barricades. After [the] show, Allison, Megan, Lil, Anoop, Danny(again) & Adam came out. I got autos from everyone. Kris was the only one I missed. :(”
“[At] the concert, I was surrounded by so many Adam & Kris fans. I noticed a lot of families with kids, couples, and just all around women. We all were chatting before the show about our favorites, so much fun!”
“The excitement buildup before Adam came out was intense, the screams and shrills were pretty crazy! It was awesome, [and]he was mesmerizing. I stayed for the whole show and still got a front spot at the barricades. I was able to meet him for the few seconds and he signed a pic I printed out from another fan. I told him his set was captivating and thanked him, he smiled and said “Thank you”. This very young girl (maybe 14) next to me started crying, it was pretty intense. He is beautiful and seemed to exude calmness amongst all the screaming and chaos.”
“Overall, the show was so much fun. Adam was a stand out for me, but I really tried to enjoy everyone’s sets, since they are all so different. This was a talented group and I am thankful to have seen them all perform before they head their separate ways.”
Thanks, Alicia! And now, what you have been really waiting to see…

From lies to indulgences to dreams, Adam is giving fans his “Last Words” in the upcoming September 14th OK! Magazine. Here’s a sneak peak:

*** UPDATED w/ Teams and Photo *** Thanks to everyone who has expressed interest in a group for your area! Three area groups have now been setup, and several of you are contemplating involvement in other areas…I think we are off to a great start! If you live in the UK, Denmark, or Texas you can join your group — just click here. Please be gentle with your “newbie” moderators!
One other note. In order to lead a group, a familiarity with Yahoo groups is helpful, although not necessary if you pickup on “techie” things relatively quickly. These groups will eventually provide added organization to our international fansite, along with the ability to facilitate more local efforts. Some have asked about the time commitment required - and it really just depends on where you are in the world, how many members you draw in over time, where Adam’s career takes him, and how much your team plans to do.
And back to the “Family” theme…Mary and her 4 sisters are pictured in this photo from the Kansas City concert. All grandmothers aged 48-60! They all look fab in their Adam shirts!

******
For thousands of years, people have united for various reasons across the globe including religious rights, political statements, and other causes too numerous to mention. However, I can’t imagine much else in history that has been as fun, spectacular, and joyous as the collective camaraderie that orbits around Adam Lambert’s musical magnetism. Family members have become parallel fans, and fans have become lifelong friends. This seems to be a running theme and common thread with Glamb members! Jeanette’s recent concert adventures and photos are certainly a tribute to people coming together for a positive reason…enjoying life and living in the moment.
I wanted to share some other photos sent in to tourphotos@glambs.org that represent this theme as well. The first photo is from Peggy, whose family is quite Adam-smitten! They attended the Kansas City concert. Left to right: Veronica, Melinda, Terri, Melissa, Peggy, Linda, Karla, Crystal, and Elizabeth. Just look at those beautiful and creative t-shirts!

The second set of photos were submitted by Mars showing her and her Glamb friends at the Columbus concert. Their posters are spectacular!

This fabulous sense of community is what adam-lambert.org and glambs.org is all about! We want to build on that…and you can help! Several of you have already asked how you can be more involved in your state or country. Click here to see if the opportunity to lead an official, local Glamb group suites you!
You only need minimal to moderate technical skills to lead a group, and you will be facilitating a way for fans to communicate and organize with each other in their area. This is similar to a local “street team” concept where members can plan events in their area, work on fansite projects, and organize meet/greet opportunities. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had many of these groups setup and ready to roll before Adam’s solo tour begins?! Let’s continue building fanship, friendship, and family around the enjoyment of Adam’s music and live performances!
We’ve already got an official Glambs Fansite group in Denmark that Anette has so graciously volunteered to lead. So if you live in Denmark, please join them! And watch for more local Glamb groups coming soon.
Please share how your fanship, friendship, and family has been permanently altered by Adam’s presence in the universe.

Just like the rest of us, Rolling Stone knew a good thing when they saw it!
Watch and read about how Adam’s album is coming along, what fans should (and shouldn’t!) do to get his attention, what music he is currently listening to, and what he has learned about his own performance from being on tour.
Where did all those bras and “gear” that landed on stage end up?

The American Idols Live tour is in full swing, but Adam Lambert still has one eye on his debut album, due in November via AI’s 19 Recordings through a licensing deal with RCA. When Lambert stopped by the RS offices last week to discuss Paula Abdul’s departure from Idol, he stayed tight-lipped about any possible song names, lyrics or the album title — “Nope, can’t tell you yet — it’s all a surprise,” he says — but stressed that assembling the album quickly is only adding to its intensity.
Go behind the scenes at Adam Lambert’s Rolling Stone cover shoot.
“We did a surprising amount of work before the tour started, we had about a month,” he says. “I got a lot of co-writing done, some great initial vocal material recorded, and just general collaborations with different producers.” His list of collaborators has grown to include OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder (Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé), along with Lady Gaga producer RedOne, Linda Perry, Greg Wells and Sam Sparro. His only promises: “a lot of surprises” and “it’s going to feel really sexy.” (Watch Lambert talk about his first album in our video interview, above.)
On tour, Lambert reports his David Bowie medley of “Life on Mars,” “Fame” and “Let’s Dance” is “going over really well, and I have a blast doing it.” Fans are clearly having a good time too — the list of objects thrown at Lambert has grown from bras to light S&M gear, he reports. So what should fans do to get his attention? “Just clap and scream and have a good time,” he says. “It’s not about you guys getting my attention, it’s about you living your life in a positive way. If you feel sexy when you hear a song, just be sexy and feel gorgeous. You don’t need to throw a bra in my face to let me know that you feel sexy, though it cracks me up.”
Offstage, Lambert is currently listening to Muse’s new single “Uprising” (”It’s very glam rock and very cool”) as well as the new LPs by Kasabian and Peaches, and the latest from IAMX, one of the former singers from the Sneaker Pimps: “This recent one is gorgeous, it’s just epic and the production’s great, his melodies are awesome.”
Look back at Lambert’s early years, in photos.
After after a month on the road with the Idols tour, Lambert says he has definitely learned a few things that’ll come in handy down the line. “When you dance and move around it creates a different reaction from the audience — they love it,” he says. “And getting a sense of interaction with them, I love that. It’s like a trial run, a test audience for things to come. I would love to do a live show with dancers and fashion and scenic elements — definitely bring my love of the theater to a concert-style performance.”
It has taken me a week to process not only my photos and writing, but also my emotion from attending this spectacular concert. I hope you enjoy reading my blog post from the Dallas American Idol Summer Tour Concert! Dana {CatEyes}
The fans in Dallas, TX on Thursday evening July 23rd filled the house and fed enough energy back to the performers that we could have bottled it to light up the whole city! The American Airlines Center was vibrating, even before the doors were opened. While fans gathered for the evening’s event, Ford was very proud to show off a Mustang and Fusion at the front entrance. I have to say that the Mustang’s sex appeal perfectly matches Adam’s style and personality, while the Fusion is the low-key family car that likely blends with Kris’s more traditional tastes. (The car in Dallas was a beautiful shade of blue…thanks everyone, for letting me know Adam has the black version of the Mustang!)
Earlier in the afternoon, a few of the idols gathered behind the barricade for a small flock of fans. Matt and Scott were out, chatting with fans while I was there around 2:30 p.m. They had more time for autographs and conversation than they did after the concert. As expected, Adam did not make an appearance. It has been reported that he doesn’t come out before the shows because he is resting his voice and taking it easy indoors. I also suspect that more security would be needed if he did come out…and if that is not available to him, safety might be a concern.
And then, it started to drizzle… Texas has been in a drought since May! Why, on this night, does it need to start raining? I started to become anxious that the weather would ruin the autograph signing after the show. I don’t often worry about things I can’t control, but this was really disturbing me! I kept looking out the window as we were getting ready back at the hotel room. Dark gray clouds were circling everywhere.
I was very intent on arriving early before the concert. I had people to meet and Glambs fan cards to hand out. As my husband and I were waiting in line, I met so many nice Adam fans - I wish I could name all of you! As we entered the door my camera, cell phone, and purse were carefully inspected; and I got randomly pulled over to be scanned with the wand. This always happens to me and I can never figure out why. I must look really threatening…yeah, right!
After negotiating the security delay, I headed straight for the merchandise table. It was already very crowded but we waited patiently. It gave me time to figure out what I wanted to buy. I have to say the tour book is very well done with lots of nice photos and tidbits on all the idols. Although the photos of Adam are quite one-dimensional, they are still nice. I bought a poster as well, but skipped the Adam photo (again, not my favorite picture of him). However, it looked like the merchandise handlers were well prepared - Adam’s stack of photos was three times as tall as the stack of photos for the other idols!
We made our way to our seats, up 3 flights of super-long escalators, and OMG, were they nosebleed! If I weighed another 10 pounds I would have needed a pulley and some oxygen to get me up the 20 or so steep steps! Once I sat down, I still felt like I needed a seatbelt. I was just praying no one next to me would slip or fall. My seat was on the edge next to the aisle and I was going to go down with them…straight over the very short safety glass panel at the bottom, straight down into the floor seats. My palms were sweating from the height anxiety, and I didn’t want to die before seeing Adam’s performance! O.K., maybe this was a little dramatic, but the teenagers in the row behind me even commented that there would be no standing up and jumping during this concert. I’m still convinced these seats at the American Airlines Center were designed for mountain goats, not humans.
Thank goodness the height anxiety passed after about 20 minutes. But I have to say I got really sick of watching the 3-4 Carrie Underwood, 1 Daughtry, and 1 David Cook music videos over and over and over and over as pre-show entertainment. American Idol desperately needs more stars to make music videos so they can show some variety. Yeah, I think Adam could do that!
Once the concert began, the countdown to Adam was almost excruciating. It is not that the other performers were bad - actually, they were quite good. And with the exception of one performer (who shall remain nameless), they have all really grown-up since the early American Idol performances. Their vocals, stage presence, and energy have improved tremendously. But I was there for Adam. It was evident that the majority of fans in Dallas felt the same way. Every time his picture was on the big screen, or whenever his name was mentioned on the sound system, the screams from the crowd were deafening.
Michael Sarver did a nice job warming up the crowd from his home state. He even had some of the people in my goat mountain section standing on their feet and waving their arms. I have to say though, that many of these people had already downed a tall beer. So it is possible that their perception of the danger was just a little blurred!
The countdown continued. Here are a couple of pics from Meg’s set and Anoop’s set.
I especially enjoyed the piano performances of Scott and Matt. Matt gave an especially knock-out performance and hit all his high notes perfectly. I will definitely be seeking out their debut albums down the road.
A 20 minute intermission at this point really wasn’t necessary. Momentum had been building and they really just needed to press on with the show. (I had been waiting for Adam all this time, right?) The people who drank the beer and too much soda just needed to take care of themselves whenever they needed to. The few available restrooms couldn’t have processed the whole venue in 20 minutes anyway. Let’s get real.
So then, we had the top 4. Allison was very energetic and did a standup job with her set. Danny must have gotten some cha-cha choreography lessons for “Maria, Maria” because I’ve never seen him quite so coordinated with his feet while singing at the same time! They drew a stage curtain to obscure the band while Kris performed a more acoustic set with his guitar. He did an awesome job and I look forward to his album as well, even though his musical style is 180 degrees from Adam’s.
Now I begin my next paragraph about Adam’s performance with a little trepidation. I know many will not agree with me, but I think my observations are true even if I don’t like them myself! So let me start by saying that when Adam is not having a perfect performance night, he is still heads and shoulders above the rest. In Dallas, he seemed a little less energetic than other performance nights I’ve seen on video. His stage presence was just not 100%. But goodness knows the tour is a hard road and I’m sure whatever he gave the audience that night was all he had to give. I am the first to realize that in many ways, it is not fair to compare one performance to the next - every day is different for all of us…physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Worse yet, those of us who are avid fans watch even the subtle nuances and shifts in Adam’s body language. We are always looking for ways to interpret and spin an explanation for why something has changed. I won’t go that far here. You can do more speculation in the comments below, if you wish.
The nicest part was the excitement generated in the Texas crowd just from his sheer presence. Way to go Texas fans! He was the obvious favorite, hands down. My zoom lens was doing a pretty decent job. You’ll have to indulge my insertion of so many Adam pics here…ha! The “Mad World” photos are my personal favorites!
There were a few items thrown on stage during Adam’s performance. One item was black, the other two were shades of blue. They all looked like scarves, but I couldn’t tell for sure. Adam ignored them all, which also seemed a little out of character.
I absolutely loved all of his lighting effects and “smokey” backdrops. Adam definitely has a way of creating a mood on stage that coordinates with the music. This is just another indication that he is the “whole package,” not just a voice without personality or creativity to go along with it. I could have watched him sing far longer than his too-short set. But time moves on.
Next, I had to unfortunately beeline it down those treacherous steps right after Kris’s third song to get a good spot at the signing barricade. It had started to drizzle again. No umbrella. I held my tour book perpendicular to the ground so it wouldn’t get water spots on it. I made my husband put my poster under his shirt. Was this whole thing going to be ruined by the weather? Fortunately, the drizzle stopped after about 5 minutes, but it was miserably humid standing in the crowd after that.
We waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. Do you get how long we waited? I had to keep reminding myself to unlock my knees so I didn’t pass out. Even chatting with my barricade neighbors was no longer entertaining. My husband nudged me three times that we had waited long enough, referring to the whole fan crazy scene as “the stupidest way he had ever spent an hour and a half of his life.” He threatened to leave me there, but I wasn’t going to budge from that barricade. At 11:15 P.M., Megan was the first to appear. I suppose you now know which one of us is more stubborn and got their way.
The autograph signing barricade had been wrapped around the corner of the building with a door at each end. No one seemed to know from which door the idols would emerge. As it turns out, some came out one door and others came out the other door. A VIP line had been roped off near one of the doors. I purposely positioned myself on that end, thinking it was a smart move. Wrong.
Adam appeared at midnight. He started signing at the other end of the line and never made his way to the VIP line or the area where I was standing. He was called away to the bus at 12:15 and simply mouthed the word “sorry” to the rest of us left standing there. Everyone started to scream for him not to leave, and simultaneously the crowd lunged forward. I never did get a close-up picture of my own, and I’m lucky my camera wasn’t crushed. Then he was gone in a flash. Adam’s signature on my tour book remains my elusive autograph.

Disappointed? Maybe just a little. But the rest of the evening was so spectacular that it almost makes up for it.
I have one final reward for you if you made it this far. Angie took this stunning video of Adam signing autographs in Dallas. This was taken just a few minutes before he made his departure. I think I might even see myself in the background of her video. Thanks so much for sending it to us, Angie. Be sure to have the sound on when you start the video…the conversation is quite cute!
Memories do last a lifetime.

Just a little tidbit for you… I was reading a book on the couch this afternoon and the TV was playing in the background. Next thing I know, I’m hearing “Mad World!” I was like, “What? Huh? Where is that song coming from?” ABC was showing previews of a new program this fall called FlashForward. It appears that Adam’s “Mad World” is the theme song? At the very least, he is getting air time. How cool is that? And after watching the previews of this show, the song is quite fitting. The series premiere airs on Thursday, September 24th, 8/7 Central.
Here is the same preview I saw on TV. The song begins about halfway through the video. When you actually hear it on TV someday (if you haven’t already), you’ll get chills!

Ok “CatEyes” I’m hacking into your post :p (this is Dreamsound). So, as a lot of you know, me and Adam were born on the same day and same year (I was borned at 4:55pm (Chilean time) Jan 29, 1982). I’ve been dying to know at what exact time he was born. What if we were born at the exact same time??
My jaw dropped when someone asked that question…
Another great interview with Adam from Access Hollywood. Find out Adam’s current choice of books, his make-up preference, how he feels about screaming women and associated unmentionables being thrown on stage, and what actor he would like to see play him in a movie!
This interview was just too cute. I enjoyed watching his playful nature with the interviewer at the very end…what a tease!
Please check your heart rate at the end of this video…enjoy!

This is the kind of thing that just makes me insane. . .
Adam’s accounts, including Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, and his email have been hacked. Someone purposely broke in or gained access to his passwords and took electronic control of his life. Many of the tweets you have read in the last day haven’t even been from him, but rather, from the hacker. And while the hacker may have thought it a cute practical joke, it really isn’t funny. It causes extra work and stress not only for Adam, but for the companies who manage these social networking sites and his email provider.
I’m not sure I could maintain a sense of humor about this - thank goodness Adam can. I guess the up side is that you know you “have made it big” when you are worth hacking!
The Twitter exchanges between Danny and Adam as the whole thing was going down, went something like this:
@dannygokey
- Hey tweeters Adam asked me 2notify u all that his Twitter account as been hacked and he’s working on regaining control of it. Let peeps know
@adamlambert
- hey guys it adam just got my twitter running back ![]()
@dannygokey
- Hey u all me and Adam are gonna bubble tweet the truth. Apparently someone on his account posted right after I did saying it’s him

Give us a shout out if you are planning to attend the American Idol Summer Concert in either:
· Portland, Oregon - July 5th @ Rose Garden
· Tacoma, Washington – July 7th @ Tacoma Dome
· Vancouver, BC – July 8th @ General Motors Place
(For safety, please do not leave any personal information in this post, including the location of your concert seats.)
When you return from the concert, please write a review for us in this thread. Feel free to leave links to your concert photos after uploading them to a photo-sharing service (like Photobucket or Flickr, etc.). We may be choosing additional, random concert photos to use in our birthday project…
Tell us the name of your city and give us as much detail as you want. Here are just some ideas for your concert post: What did you love most? What didn’t you love? How did the crowd respond? What did you think about the song choices and how the idols performed? Did anything in the show surprise you? Were Adam’s outfits as awesome as we’re imagining them to be? Did you get a chance to meet Adam after the show? Did you see any other Glambs at the concert? Did the show as a whole meet or exceed your expectations?
Everyone’s experience will be unique, and it will be interesting to hear individual opinions on the concert. We expect Adam to steal the show in every way – from his vocals to his performance, to his outfits. Not that Adam will intentionally try to hog the spotlight, but just as during the season shows, it’s just probably going to happen that way!
Please remember that this posting is for the concerts in Portland, Tacoma, & Vancouver. There will be separate postings for future concert dates. Watch for yours!
And don’t forget, “Happy GLAMBirthday” photos of you and your poster should be emailed no later than October 15, 2009. See this post for details.
Rock On!
Glambs Fan Club Leaders
Yes, the confetti from the Idol season finale is long ago swept away. The “after Idol” TV blitz is in the rear view mirror. So what is a fanatical fan to do whilst waiting on something new from Adam?
- Watch (and rewatch) all the iTunes videos
- Keep re-charging the batteries on my iPod
- Google until the wee hours of the morning for “Adam Lambert” + other strange keywords
- Hunt for new YouTube videos - even when the quality is poor and there is no audio!
Hmmm…are you doing some of these same things too?
So I began to notice many subtle Adam Lambert “moments” as I watch and rewatch, listen and relisten. Things I didn’t necessarily notice, or hear, the first time around…or even the second. Things that only a fan with extreme enthusiasm would notice. So here are my Top 3 Adam Lambert Moments:
3. The trance-like state Adam pulls himself out of at the end of “If I Can’t Have You.” You can watch it here at 2:34, http://adam-lambert.org/if-i-cant-have-you-disco-theme-week/. Adam said he wanted to do a song he could emotionally connect to, and WOW, did he! He had to physically shake himself out of his meditative absorption (his “Zen state”) to transition to the judges comments.
2. This one isn’t just one moment, but a whole pattern of moments for Adam. He has a natural ability to respond to negativity and still come across as polite, and any criticism or controversy or frenzy just seems to roll right off of him. The “Whatever” comment works well for him, and he has used it several times!
1. And my favorite is… It has to be the eyebrow lift at the very end of “Beth.” I could watch that move a thousand times. (You know you want to watch it again too: http://adam-lambert.org/adam-lambert-performance-with-kiss/) iTunes could have gotten away with charging more money for the download of this video…and it wouldn’t have had anything to do with KISS!
And I’m sure there are a hundred more.
Give me YOUR Top 3 Adam Lambert “Moments!”

“American Idol” runner-up Adam Lambert was spotted shopping with friend Drake at Kitson Men in Los Angeles. ET reveals what’s inside those shopping bags.
Kitson staff tells ET Adam and friend were “cordial and nice” as they shopped. Lambert is said to have purchased a Marc Jacobs blazer for Drake.

I would love to see what is inside Kitson for Men in Los Angeles! And you never know who you might run in to while shopping there… We all know Adam loves some good fashion and accessories.
Apparently, Adam purchased a blazer for his friend, Drake. Looks like the guy could use one!
The Regis and Kelly Show interview last week revealed Adam’s first gig as a child performer — Linus in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.” This took me back, years ago, to my own childhood because Peanuts, by Charles Shulz, was my favorite comic strip. I can just envision how Adam was transformed into the cutest Linus as a little boy!

Linus was an unusually smart character for his age, and was considered to be a philosopher…always behaving in a rational and calm manner, especially under trying circumstances. Linus invented the “Great Pumpkin” and was the only character in the comic strip who believed that presents would be delivered on Halloween. Though he occasionally convinced other characters the “Great Pumpkin” was real, they always lost faith, while Linus kept his.
I can’t help but think how these same characteristics parallel Adam’s qualities. Unusually smart, rational, calm, able to deal with trying circumstances, never losing faith…
Then, the very same day as Adam’s interview with Regis and Kelly, I ran across this quote from Charles Shulz:
“The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money, or the most awards. They are simply the ones who care the most.”
As fans, I think this is who we are for Adam and his new, musical journey. We aren’t powerful producers or music industry magnates…but we care the most. And this fansite will make a difference.
Now you know what Adam, Linus, Charles Schulz, and WE have in common!
I don’t know how many people stopped Adam on the street, or approached him in a restaurant when he was just the “theater guy.” But in a few short months, I imagine that has changed tremendously. We watched Adam’s popularity grow on American Idol, and now he is on just about every morning talk show across the country. He became a household name in a matter of months. The loss of anonymity has occurred…and you can’t unring that bell.
The TMZ video below shows one of the first likely incidents of Adam just trying to live his life (privately), and discovering he is being followed by a reporter. Many have labeled this the “Date with a Girl” video, or “The Pointed Question” that didn’t quite get asked at the very end. But I think these are just superficial observations that don’t really get to the crux of the matter.
If you maintain your anonymity, does it really matter who you go on a date with? …not really, because no one cares! If you are relatively anonymous, does anyone publicly attempt to ask you about your orientation on anything? No. It is the loss of anonymity that opens the door for the public at large to look in, and be persistent observers of things that would otherwise be private.
So far, Adam seems to be handling all of this really well. He is a performer, and I believe that he thrives on being in the spotlight — although not all people would! Someday he may be living behind high brick walls and security gates, driving around in limos with tinted windows, and ordering his food in to avoid throngs of fans and reporters. If this is the life he dreams of, I will be there to help him achieve all the fame and fortune that goes with it!
The world is full of yin and yang, and consequences shift as we take different paths in our lives… What’s your take on Adam’s loss of anonymity? How will his path in life change as a result?
We all saw Adam’s ease as a front man on American Idol…performing with Queen…and then Kiss! Was this real?
And where did Adam best fit? I can’t decide because I enjoyed both performances. On second thought, I’ll give the edge to the Kiss performance because of Adam’s solo and because he didn’t have to share the stage with Kris Allen. I digress.
But it seems that a pending offer from Queen is looming out there. In the articles below it seems that guitarist Bryan May a drummer Roger Taylor aren’t “ruling out the possibility.” May told Rolling Stone “I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.”
But alas, Adam has a summer tour and then other producers and management groups have “first dibs” on his initial projects. It makes me want to scream, “Let him go! Let him be creative! Now! PLEASE!”
Good things come to those who wait…isn’t that how the saying goes? In the meantime, we have the memories of two spectacular performances.
Could Adam Lambert Become Queen’s New Front Man?
If you thought Adam Lambert looked like a natural fit with iconic rockers Queen during American Idol’s finale, you weren’t the only one.
Hours after it was announced that Lambert was Season 8’s runner-up last week, widespread speculation began circulating that the 26-year-old singer had been offered a job as Queen’s new front man. While that’s not true yet, guitarist Brian May isn’t ruling out the possibility.
“Amongst all that furor, there wasn’t really a quiet moment to talk. But [drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point,” May told Rolling Stone. “It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.”
Queen recently ended a four-year relationship with Paul Rodgers, who was handling the vocal duties for the band.
Lambert auditioned for Idol with Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and instantly became a buzzed-about contender for the show’s Top 36. His revved-up, glam-rock numbers and hauntingly restrained ballads made him the front-runner all season before ultimately coming up short. While the show has produced more pop artists than rockers, May recognizes that springboard it provides young artists.
For now, Lambert must first complete the 50-city tour with his fellow Top 10 members, and the Idol producers, 19 Entertainment, will likely have first dibs on anything Lambert does next. May said whatever happens, he’s excited to see what Lambert and Idol winner Kris Allen (who also shared the stage during “We Are the Champions”) do next.
“Both those boys are well worthy of big success,” May said. “So it’s pointless for someone like me to stand on the sidelines jeering. I’m confident Adam will make great use of this wonderful opportunity. I hope I’m there to see it.”

Adam Lambert To Collaborate With Queen?
“I’d certainly like to work with Adam” - Brian May
Now that Adam Lambert is free of the constraints of American Idol (relatively speaking, of course) he is now able to consider what his next step may be professionally. Surely, an album is in the works … but who might he be able to collaborate with on said new album? There has been much rumor going around that Adam was asked by the surviving members of Queen to front the band but Brian May tells Rolling Stone magazine that such talk is very premature. That said, May did not rule out a possible collaboration with the group — in fact, he’s hoping that Queen and Adam may be able to collaborate in some capacity:

“Amongst all that furor, there wasn’t really a quiet moment to talk,” May tells Rolling Stone in an e-mail interview.“ But [drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.” May, whose band recently ended a four-year-long partnership with singer Paul Rodgers, is comfortable with Idol as a launching point for the careers of rock singers. “You’d have to define ‘legitimate’ first,” he writes. “The long-term answer has to be that, if you have enough talent and enough will to succeed, you will get there by whatever route presents itself. Once you have scaled the castle walls, with the sword in your hand, it matters little
how you got there. I’ve not always been positive about shows like this, but there is no doubt that it offers a door to some real genuine talent along the way.”
From what I understand, Adam Lambert’s singing style is one that would mesh nicely with Queen’s music so it makes sense that folks would begin speculating that Adam (a hot new solo singer with a big voice) would hook-up with Queen (a band in need of a hot new solo singer with a big voice). It is quite a compliment to have Brian May talk of possible collaborations with you so I’m sure Lambert is flattered beyond belief. It’s still WAY TOO SOON to know what will come next for Adam Lambert. As I understand it, he still has a tour with American Idol to take care of before he can really focus on his next solo move. Still … the fact that anyone is even gossing that he might work with Queen makes him a winner in my eyes.
Who needs the title of American Idol when opportunities like this are falling in your lap?
