Adam Lambert To Sing “Aftermath” Remix on Thursday’s American Idol!

I’m sure you’ve all heard that Adam Lambert will be on American Idol on Thursday, March 10 performing an acoustic version of Aftermath. I haven’t checked with any officials, but I think he may be setting some records. We all know that he was the first past contestant to be invited back as a mentor, but now he’ll be on a second time in as many years, as a guest artist! And to be singing one of his own songs, I just can’t wait! It was incredible when he brought co-writer Alison Porter up on stage to sing it with him at his second-to-last Glam Nation show at the Music Box Theater in Hollywood on December 15, 2010.

According to, “immediately following Lambert’s performance on AMERICAN IDOL, a remix of “Aftermath” (remixed by Billboard) will be made available on with part of the proceeds going to support The Trevor Project.
“Billboard turns the song into a fresh new dance pop anthem to blast on the radio and in the clubs!” says Lambert.

The Trevor Project is the leading national organization focused on crisis intervention and suicide prevention among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. For more information, visit here.

I must admit I’m an Idol Junkie! I still haven’t voted since the close of Season 8 when I vowed not to touch the voting/texting lines again after having my life turned upside down by one Mr. Adam Lambert. I’ve held true to that but I’m very impressed with the Top 13 this season and think it should be a great show. I wish there were more rockers though. I’m excited to say I’ll be able to share with you all the details that you won’t see on your set. My girlfriend was given two tickets by another friend and I screamed when she invited me to go with her. I love my Network of Adam Friends and I can’t wait to hear him sing!

**This just in!! Tune in tomorrow (Wednesday) on Ryan Seacrest’s morning show on KIIS-FM at 7:30 AM to hear the world premiere of the Aftermath Remix!

Love ya!

About Carol

I started writing on this site back in May 2009, not knowing what I was in for or where it would take me. I had no idea of the joy and personal satisfaction I'd find here. I never dreamed that I'd get to meet Adam, but that dream came true! The bonus of becoming such great friends with Lila and the other fans is what keeps me going. Music gets me though every day. In addition to Adam, I love Muse, Linkin Park, 80s and finding newer bands and supporting them by attending everything that's within 350 miles. With Adam, the boundaries are farther! Thanks for joining us on this ride! :)

  1. Carol, you’re so LUCKY to see him on Thursday!!!

What great news! Thanks for update!!

  3. I’m glad I saw this message. I hadn’t heard that he would be on Idol. Like most of you I haven’t really been into watching it since season 8. I catch it here & there, but I sure will be watching this Thursday & also recording him. My grandson is now a fan & has downloaded quite a few of his songs on his phone. He surpasses age & just gets in your blood no matter how old you are.

    • @Barbara, follow Adam on twitter. I knew about it before a lot of my co-workers did. When I told them that my boy, Adam, was going to perform on Thu’s elimination show, they said that they had not heard anything about it. I told them that he tweeted the news last week :p

I posted on here last week that Adam was going to be on AI on Thu. I can’t wait.

      • @Barb, sorry for posting your name incorrectly. I saw “Barb,” and I wrote “Barbara.”

From the very beginning when he walked out for trying out for American Idol I felt this was going to be a journey for me with Adam. He is the most amazingsinger, performer, sex symbol and the whole package we have seen in years. I LOVE ADAM LAMBERT.

From day one with Adam trying out for American Idola I knew this was going to be a journey I could follow.
He is and icon. There is a uniqueness about ADAM that captures us. I have traveled the world with him on tour, I have gone to the American Idol Tour in Dallas and Arkansas, I wear his T shirts, I will follow him as long as I live and enjoy his sexy, fantastic performances and some of his nasty little ways. He is a super star with a great sense of performance not to mention his wonderful voice. That goes without saying.
May you enjoy your sucess Adam now and always.

  9. Adam is going to bring back that magic to AI. I hope he comes back again and again, may be as a Mentor for the outstanding S10 performers. They will have much to learn from our Adam in terms of breathing when doing the high notes. This group loves to sing high notes, may be inspired by Adam but I notice they go all out and run out of breath towards the ending part of the high notes. Adam controls and even has enough breath to slide them down again ending gently. Remember Tracks of my Tears ? I thought he had ended at the first spurt of the high note but was amazed when he continued to sing the high note even louder and with greater power, whoa !
