Adam Lambert: It’s Settled – Briefs and Commando – and a little Tongue Dive Talk!! :)

This interview from Albany was so funny! The questions are original, the mood is completely relaxed, and Adam is so funny! He talks about the infamous Tongue Dive and gives his opinions on who he would and wouldn’t Tongue Dive with! I know you’ll enjoy this as much as I did! πŸ™‚

About Carol

I started writing on this site back in May 2009, not knowing what I was in for or where it would take me. I had no idea of the joy and personal satisfaction I'd find here. I never dreamed that I'd get to meet Adam, but that dream came true! The bonus of becoming such great friends with Lila and the other fans is what keeps me going. Music gets me though every day. In addition to Adam, I love Muse, Linkin Park, 80s and finding newer bands and supporting them by attending everything that's within 350 miles. With Adam, the boundaries are farther! Thanks for joining us on this ride! :)

  1. Thanks for this, Carol. He certainly seemed relaxed. Love his honesty, great sense of humor and sense of fun. First time I have heard him sing “happy birthday” too! The great thing about this interview is the different questions asked. I learned a few new things with this one. Thanks so much! It just made me smile.

    • Lila - glamb #3 says:

Yeah, I noticed that too! I’ve heard people ask him to sing Happy Birthday before but he’s never done it. It was fun that the audience joined in.

  2. DellaD Glamb #39 says:

He’s so cool!! Great interview. He sounded a little hoarse to me — voice was much lower than normal, imo. Patron Tequila, huh? I’ve never liked tequila but I just might have to try this just to see what he likes!!!! Briefs!! To keep that GB in place!!!! HAHA!!!

  3. kat23mogan says:

Loved this interview…he is so sweet and funny…..

  5. Cris R Glamb #659 says:

Great, fun interview….love him when he’s so himself and relaxed with interviewers who think outside the box.

No posts or photos yet from the Albany concert Monday (8/23) night??? Was anyone else here there??? It was GREAT and in the beautiful historic Palace Theater. Adam was so engaged and danced up a storm and sporting his new shaved “do”. We had the best seats yet out of all the concerts we’ve gone to, and I swear, my feet haven’t landed on the ground yet. This man!! How can he get better and better and better and more and more hunky each time we see him? It’s not possible? The audience was great at this show — terrific energy, dancing in the aisles even before he came out on stage — super mix of young and old, male and female, straight and gay. love, Love, LOVE this man…..just can’t get enough of him!!!

I didn’t detect any hoarseness that night (as here in the interview) but he was definitely singing in a bit higher register and I thought it might be that he was fighting some laryngitis or something. But, he pushed past it beautifully, as Adam the consumate performer always does.

C’mon Glambs……write if you were there! And pleeeeeze, post some photos and videos!…….my camera was just freaking out and I got nada!

    • i was there! i live in NY and was so glad i got tickets! row K on the floor! it was amazing! i didnt get any pics though, my camera died. but it was still so awesome!

  6. Peggyt glamb#345 says:

Thanks for the great video interview with Adam…He is amazing and funny…I am ready for Sept 3rd, 4th and 5th…then it will be done for us…till he goes another tour….Thank you again for the wonderful video…….His kissing doesn’t bother me..some times I have to laugh…..

  7. Glamourclamor says:

loved this interview. Adam being Adam. The interviewers were also into getting great responses from him when they weren’t laughing. Personally when I first watched this interviewed I laughed out loud–family looking at me strange!!! Nothing new there, ever since Adam came on the scene, I have gone a bit strange–go figure~~~

    • scootersmom says:

Glamourclamor: Please let me “second” you about this interview – it was really real Adam, being his usual wonderful self, so funny and so honest. Also, I understand the “gone a bit strange” – it’s happened to me, too. I spend so much time on the computer looking for all things Adam that my family is beginning to wonder about me….

  8. Adamesque says:

How is it possible that anyone that gorgeous and talented can be that funny? He is amazingly witty and such a cutie!

  9. He is really a cutie and so beautiful and so , so talented. Can’t wait for next Tuesday.Last time until next year.I better make the most of this one.

  10. Does anyone know how to get on the new site?I don’t know what I am doing wrong.I don’t know if i’m supposed to put the letters in the box a certain way or what. I just put them in a straight line can someone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!please!

    • Toni, I have joined and the fan site address is: that’s how I got on it.
      It’s really cool.

Just want to say, as I haven’t had the chance, to all you people who have made my day bringing Adam to me every day. , I will still be coming on the site. There’s a Scottish song that we sing and the chorus is “We’re no’ awa’ tae bide awa’, we’re no’ awa tae leave ye. We’re no’ awa’ tae bide awa’ we’ll aye come back tae see ye. Which is, “We’re not away to stay away, we’re not away to leave you. We’re not away to stay away, we’ll always come back to see you.”
That’s how I feel about this site. You brought us Adam, first and I’m always coming back.

Thanks, and take a bow, as you all deserve it!!!

    • tweeterpie says:

The address to the new Adam fan site is
You should be able to just type
in your search engine line spot, but I put the full address there for you just in case.
I originally reached the site through another link that was
but when I go into the site with that link the address shows up as the one that I gave you.
      Hope this helps…GOOD LUCK!

    • tweeterpie says:

Once I posted the address for you I noticed it actually set up a link to the site, so you can just click on either address link and it will take you directly there. YEAH!
I guess I could put the two links on here for you as well too, so here goes,,,

  11. Elizabeth Richter, Glamb#545 says:

I’ve been listening to Adam talk about a new Adam saying that it would be more and more of What Do You Want From Me and If I had You saying “If it ain’t broken don’t fix it!” but here just listening to this interview is this assessment correct. I mean, why are we out there excited by Adam, is it for the attitude of If It Ain’t Broken Don’t Fix It, or is it for the razzle dazzle and intensity and roller coaster breathless totally out of this world ride of a person who is willing to get out there and try doing things a new way? It is the newness and the freshness we like, not the safe, boring concept of, if it aint broke don’t fix it. Things were broke, that’s why Adam breaking onto the scene has been so revolutionary. What we are attracted to IS the revolutionary, the boundary breaking, the opening up new vistas, and that’s what we are looking for. What do you guys think of this?!?! Do we want a boring safe Adam? Please, give me a break!

    • don’t worry Elizabeth, no judgment. I get it. But he wants to stick with pop. That’s what he has wanted since the beginning. I’d love a release of Sleepwalker to see how DJs and non fans like it. I’m seeing more and more people who did not know him like the pop, but will they like anything else. It is a very treacherous road as we fans are learning through Adam. It’s hard!!! The MTV VMA thing really showed that to me. And Adam is learning the ropes. We just have to hang with him. Unfortunately, pushing the boundaries will only go so far. I’m tired too, so rambling……

      • Glamourclamor says:

I’m willing to bet it will be cutting edge. I think he said it wouldn’t be so all over the board as FYE is as he is learning more about himself as an artist. People still want to hear more heavy rock and roll from him, but (my opinion), there are a lot of old rock bands still being relevant, and more newer ones. Adam wants to give his audience/fans a more total pkg, which I think represents him as an artist. AI kept complaining about him being theatrical until Simon finally said, “That’s what he is and what makes his performances special.” You gotta occasionally agree with Simon, hard as it is. As I’m not a musican, don’t know for sure, but isn’t singing constant rock songs hard on the vocal cords–lots and lots of loud. BTW think it would be great if Adam’s fans pre=bought even more of his second album than the first. Just a thought!

  12. Elizabeth Richter, Glamb#545 says:

ok not new Adam, I mean new album. I’m so tired today!!!!

  13. Elizabeth Richter, Glamb#545 says:

Oh, and by the way guys, I am wearing an Adam Lambert T shirt, the orange one. Am I sexy or AM I SEXY!@!!!!!

  14. AdamAddictGirl says:

I just love Adam. Just a little wish, though, love his hair longer!! But he’s always changing it up, so maybe we’ll see longer hair again soon.

    • Adamisamazing says:

I feel the same way. I was sad to see his shaved look again. Hope it grows back in a month like last time. Just my preferred look for a man with outrageously beautiful locks! πŸ˜‰

  15. Lori Carmone says:

What a fun and entertaining interview. So refreshing and not like all the standard ones..

  16. earlzagurl4u says:

Just wanted to put my 2 cents in,,there is a you tube clip of Adam singing Happy Birthday to Terrance back in the day during Wicked,,so sweet!! After Adam sang, Terrance says, “That boy can sang!” Yes Sir, he sure can!

  17. These videos of Adam singing in San Francisco are so superior than when I saw him in Cohasset on the 20th of this month.
And I know why–he didn’t like the venue… It was a round revolving stage–he didn’t have any of the awesome backgrounds he usually has or the steps or the large stage… as a matter of fact he only had 1/2 a small round stage… it sucked compared to the nice stages he’s been on…
I saw him at foxwoods Casino too on June 24th and his performance there was like no other!! He did “Whole Lotta Love” like no other… seriously if you watch that performance you won’t believe it. and he had a hotter than hot audience there from the beginning. I think the better the audience the more he gets turned on…and I’ve watched most all of the videos….this gorgeous man is priceless in every way–one of a kind. and I’m glad I’m around to take it all in.

    • Sally,Glamb #607 says:

I drove 4 1/2 hours from upstate NY with two friends to see Adam in Cohasset. It was the first time I was able to see him live and I was so disappointed by the venue. He was marvelous, but I never saw more than Adam -from shoulders up. I also paid to join the South Shore Music Circus to get early tickets and I ended up in the back where the stage never got to-no front views either. I was so upset. Audience also screamed constantly through whole concert-very rude. We went to hear Adam, not them. They also screamed through SOAKED-SO RUDE!

Luckily we had tickets to go to Albany on Monday night-whole different story. It was the most extraordinary experience of my life. I had bought a second camera with a 10 zoom lens, but it was not enough.I was in second row of balcony and had a perfect view of every smile, and movement. My pictures are really poor. I hope someone comes up with some good videos of the Albany concert-PLEASE! Adam sang more beautifully than I have ever heard him do before. He changed up notes on end of a couple of songs and was, of course, in perfect pitch.

His vocal abilitiy is almost beyond belief. He is just the cutest, most endearing young man. I would just like to take him home with me. I don’t think I am alone in this.

  18. Adamisamazing says:

That Justin Bieber remark was just so cute! Adam is so quick-witted and funny. I mean, who has a better sense of humor and personality? What I found interesting is that Adam will rarely say anything negative or that he dislikes something. He said he hated “Jersey Shore.” Can’t blame the guy…he’s intelligent, bright and interesting, and that show is the opposite. At the MuchMusic Awards, Snooky was very nice to him though. Learned a lot from the interview…this comes from someone who has seen every interview, as far as I know.

  19. LOVE ADAM, he is just so cool being himself and all. I love the way he changes it up, you go Adam!! πŸ™‚

  20. Another awesome interview with Adam!

  21. Elizabeth Richter, Glamb#545 says:

I feel the same way about Sleepwalker. I’ll bet if they made a video and put it out there it would be just as successful, if not more so, than If I had You. It’s tremendously atmospheric.

    • Holly Glamb #676 says:

I have heard that sleepwalker is the next single/video. Can’t wait! I think the lyrics and emotion of this song are something everyone has gone through – the lost love that you have such a hard time getting over. Still have never heard it better than on Leno, but I have three more concerts coming up, so maybe….. About people who haven’t heard of or don’t know Adam – his music is always blasting on my car CD’s and I have gone through fast food and one bank drive through and had people say – “who is that?” I’m happy to enlighten them. I also have an older friend whom I pick up often for events, who once said ” I don’t like Adam Lambert – all that screeching.” One day I left “Broken Open” on while she was getting into the car, and she said “that’s beautiful, who is that?” I said, “Adam of course” and she was surprised. So she is at least a semi-fan!
      Aloha, Holly

      • There is a beautiful fan video out on youtube. It shows Adam singing Aftermath and then videos are sliding in and out of his AI journey. It is heartwarming and shows in such a powerful wa his journey to the top, well we all know he is not at the top yet, so much more to come!!!
When I find the link I will post it here.

  22. I loved it when Adam sang Sleepwalker on Jay Leno. He was really excited about the song when Jay commented on it after the show. I heard that Sleepwalker or Aftermath might be the next single, but of course…I shouldn’t believe in rumors. I just hope there is another single that comes out of that incredible CD. Frankly, there are a half dozen more that could be a single in my opinion. The songs hold up well. And, I like that the CD was eclectic – less boring as Adam once said. There is a song for everyone on that CD if people would give it a listen. This is off subject, but we all need to become a follower of his on Twitter. That would show him some love. The more, the better!

  23. patricia Pearce says:

Adam’s self confidence is a big part of who he is and how he relates to people and situations. He’s astounding in everything he is, says, and does.

I”m going solo to his concert this Saturday, August 28th, 8PM at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium,NC.

    • kat23mogan says:

  24. tweeterpie says:

Adam always does the best interviews and makes them so enjoyable because he’s so open, honest and quick witted. He always brings a big smile to my face.:)
As far as his music goes, he has stated that he will continue to do a broad range of styles just like he’s doing now, but will also try and make more radio friendly hits like WWFM and IIHY. He will still always push the envelope, because that is just who Adam is and he also has to be able to connect to the music or he just won’t do it. But he also knows he needs something that the mainstrream can easily digest as well. He commented on how much he has learned about making different songs for different things. He wants to have some songs directed more for his hard core fans and international fans and then other songs that can get him exposure on the radio. Adam realizes that the music industry is a business and he needs to think through his music choices with that in mind if he is to have any successful longevity. I think he’s done an amazing job so far and I completely trust his judgments. I’m sure his musical choices will always make us want to buy his albums and continue to want to see him perform live. I also predict that he will make more and more radio friendly hits that will help him gain an even bigger fan base. Most importantly, I truly believe that Adam can accomplish all this while still staying true to who he is as an artist and as a person.
One last thought….I hope they still release “FEVER” “Sleepwalker” and the accustic version of Aftermath as singles, because they could all find airplay on different stations at the same time. Fever-on POP STATIONS Sleepwalker-on ROCK STATIONS & Aftermath-on EASY LISTENING STATIONS.
I prefer Adam’s LIVE version of Sleepwalker over the album version, so it would be really cool if they could release his Rockin Jay Leno Version
    I can dream, can’t I? LOL

    • unfortuneately, they have blown a great chance with a great lady gaga song (Fever) sung so well by Mr. Adam Lambert by saying “he”. I know we have hashed and rehashed this, but as I watch all the DJ and “music politics”, over the last year, I really believe they will not support it. His management should have stepped in.

  25. “Sleepwalker” and “Fever” are also my favortites. I LOVED his performance of Sleeplwalker on Leno and am so happy I have it saved on my DVR along with many of his other great performances. I can’t stand to watch most of the music on TV….Those “artists” can’t sing. I’m thankful Adam came along and made “me want to listen to music again.”

  26. kat23mogan says:

Love when Adam says hes friendly…laughs and smiles that cute smile looking at his foot…so adorable.

  27. Adam is just toooo adorable in this interview! Loved it, thanks so much Carol!!!

  28. Princessshakeitup says:

I did think this was a great interview and, as much as I would love to talk about Adam’s underwear [or lack thereof] and have the opportunity to be very “friendly” with him, I need to wrap up the donations to the HEIFER PROJECT so that we can present a gift card to Adam or someone on his staff at the concert in Rockford.

Well, we did not raise enough for a whole ARK but we DID raise $800.00 and that will buy a lot of pigs and ducks! Seriously, a lot of very poor families will benefit from your generosity so THANK YOU! As of tomorrow [Friday August 27th] we will close out our team giving project so….

please go to the Forum section of this site and click on the bottom category: Announcements. Then go to “Please give to Adam’s Ark” and follow the instructions to click on our team.

I will instruct Heifer Project then to apply our donations “where most needed” and send info on how all those who donated and want thier name included on the gift card for Adam can do so.

Again, thank you so very much for all of your generosity and enthusiasm!
Big Love from Princessshakeitup, Adam, and Heifer Project International!

    • Thanks, Princess, for all the hard work on this project. I know we had high hopes for this project accomplishing more – but what was accomplished was all good! This is our pebble in the pond of goodness in the world!

I tried to get the word out through twitter and various international and national fan sites but I think people’s attention is directed to the classroom projects right now and maybe the time isn’t right to have this particular project zoom like it needs to.

I firmly believe this project would have had massive economic impact for families around the world and would have impacted generations and not be confined just to the present time. But, maybe our little critters named after Adam will be the seeds for helping someone somewhere accomplish their creative dreams of well being for their family!

It is a beginning and I am sending lots of love with the little creatures so that the generous contributions of Adam’s fans will see their destiny fulfilled in a brighter day for others in the world! Thanks to all who gave!

      • Princessshakeitup says:

I thank you so much for your response[s] and you have given me a GREAT idea! I will inform H.I. that we Glams insist that whoever recieves an animal through this project MUST name that animal ADAM. The world thinks Adam’s fans are over the top anyway so why not!?

The gift card will be waiting for me in the States when I get there and I will write the names of everyone who is listed on the team site as having donated on the card. If there is anyone you know of who donated but did not want thier name published but WOULD like to be on the gift card, please let me know!

I would LOVE to see some little girl in Pakistan chasing a goat around yelling, “Adam, you get back here!”

        • Princess, I have just been thinking maybe we should keep this project open for a while longer because there is going to be a tremendous need for assistance to replace animals in the areas in Pakistan as you mentioned. The name idea is great but I’m not sure if other cultures name their critters like we do here. In my mind, they would all be Adam.

***160,000 cattle have died as a result of the devastating floods! This doesn’t include smaller animals that also have died!!! Goats are a main livelihood there.

***4,332,000 acres of Crop Land have been decimated!!! Yes, that is almost 4.5 Million Acres! That is about 1/5 of the land in the country!!!!

***20 Million people have lost their homes! The death toll was just under 2000 but the people displaced and the devastation is more than the Haiti earthquake and the horrible Indonesian tsunami combined! God only knows how many children and adults will die as a result of disease and starvation in the coming months!

I imagine some people could raise some or the other political question on the merits of giving aid in the difficult times the world faces but this comes down to a matter of the heart – love and compassion for any suffering of humanity, especially the children, in any country. IMO

Please give some contribution as your dictates. Thanks

  29. Glambert #575 says:

Not too long ago, in an interview, Adam mentioned that he was considering “Aftermath” for his next video.

  30. Gosh I love him. He’s so funny and sweet. Seems like he takes everything in stride.
Haha, somehow I knew toungediving would explode on TMZ.

  31. THis is the best interview! I love that he DID sing for the birthday guy!

  32. Did anyone else think he looked really fat in the face here?!

    • Oh Please.

      • You know what, I will say some more. That pissed me off and I believe you are at the wrong place to posts things like that.

        • Katy’s right though. It’s the shaved hair, angle of camera and position. No big deal. we are all fans here and can nit pic! That shows how many comparisons we can draw in!

          • Thanks Buffy for another perspective……I appreciate your laid back response.
Still I think it is silly to make comments like that but now I can say ” I Love Adam’s Really Fat Head”

            • Glamourclamor says:

if your CP screen HD and bigger, everyone looks fatter, just as they do on the new wide screen HD TV sets. These screens distort somewhat.

              • Cris R Glamb #659 says:

It was just the angle and the lighting. I thought the same thing — at first I was shocked,
but I just saw him in Albany and he looked as lean and mean as ever. It was just the
way they shot him in this interview, so we couldn’t see any chin definition. The one
time they zoom in, he looks gorgeous.

                • Princessshakeitup says:

Do you think this site makes my butt look big?

                  • Maybe…but I love you anyway!

                  • Cris R Glamb #659 says:

Well…………yes, I think it makes ALL our butts look bigger because we sit around
so much reading posts on this site and answering them and looking at the
latest photos and videos. I spend endless hours……..and I’m not usualy a
sitting kind of person. I better get up now and dance my butt off to Adam’s
music!!! I need a Glam Nation Exercise CD with all of Adam’s sexy moves!!

                    • That’s a great idea!

Oh, I mean the exercise CD – I already do a seat-a-thon daily! Someone should suggest it to him as a companion CD to the GlamNation Tour DVD everyone would die to get their hands on if he ever made one available!!!!

Actually, there is only one exercise I could think of just now that would be appropriate until we get a sanctioned exercise CD. For every bit of music or gorgeous Adam photo we view we would immediately do 10 Keigel exercises on the spot! Adam’s fans would be in such fabulous shape for all those things he makes us want to do!

Alright sister…you heard it right! Give me 10 – NOW!

                    • I would love to actually make a DVD like that, as a dance teacher I have choreographed several of his songs and am adding more and more…….
Today my daughter videotaped me free dancing to “Can’t let you go”
When I am ready I will post a link to it but I ahve to think about copyright etc also.

                  • KO's smiling says:

  33. I just loved the interview! He’s so adorable in everything he does. He is so funny and I would love to be his BFF. He is so damn nice and I know he would be a great friend. I might even down a couple of shots of Tequila with him. Mmmmmm that would be nice. I just love him so much!

    • Cris R Glamb #659 says:

Funny you said that. A good part of my fantasies about him involve just hanging out and doing fun stuff and laughing alot. He would just be a hoot to hang out with I bet. Ditto the tequila. The balance of the fantasies, of course, involved what we would do when we got back from hanging out. πŸ˜‰

  34. Shirley Dodson says:

I have 6 tix to The National Theater in Richmond, VA, Tomorrow Night! Going w 5 fans to a great venue! Hope his voice is OK!

  35. I have two great seats for the Hard Rock show in Hollywood, FL and am trying to post them on your website, but for some reason, the system won’t recognize my screen name (beanzie50) or password. Can someone get back to me on this? If anyone is interested in these tickets, my e-mail is Thank you.

  36. KO's smiling says:

thanks again for keeping us updated with another down-to-earth Adam video!

  37. Lamchops50 says:

Can’t get enough of Adam’s interviews. He has such a sense of humor. Loved his reactions to artists who might tongue-dive him. Thanks for posting this!

  38. I love this interview. Had to listen to it over and over..lost count. Today will be a hectic busy stressful day at work and Adam will be singing to me in my head and I will be hearing these words also..I have my black eyeliner on and glitter on my fingernails..and my friends and family think I have become obsessed with Adam Lambert and I am loving every moment!
