A Fan’s Dream Encounter with Adam Lambert in London!

What a lucky moment to just run into Adam, who was completely alone on the streets of London last week! I found this on Juneau & Xena’s site, and I’m just copying it in case you haven’t read it yet! Click here to read the original post.

Love ya!

From a very lucky fan!
So many of you Adam fans have tweeted me and so I think I should talk more about what happened this afternoon! 🙂

I went to the British Library today and after coming out of it, I decided to walk to the Camden Market. On the street right outside the St Pancras train station, I noticed a guy in black with sunglasses walking towards me. He’s talking on the phone. I don’t know why but a voice inside me sort of came up,” Oh this guy really looks like Adam Lambert!”

Then he passed by me and I HEARD THAT AMERICAN ACCENT. This’s very distinguishable when you’re in London isn’t it? So I turned to look at him and guess what? I saw some guyliners behind those sunglasses! At that point I was almost sure it really WAS Adam Lambert.

This froze me on the ground and I struggled for a while whether I should approach him and get things clear or not. In the end of course I did. Since Adam had already gone for some distance, I had to pick up my pace to catch up with him.
He just finished his phone call when I got back to him. So I got up my nerve and asked rather timidly, “Excuse me, are you… Adam?”

Oh my god! Never in my life would I expect to bump into one of my favourite singers on the street and therefore, I had no idea what I could say!

“OMG, it really is you… Ermerm, I went to your gig in Hong Kong last year!”

Shit, I was so stupid.

But Adam’s really nice and sweet. He just kept smiling and thanked me and then told me his bag was broken (he’s carrying a paper bag).

“Are you on holiday?”

“Yes… oh but no, I’m also working here. I’m working on some new songs now.”

I then asked if I could have a picture with him. He said “sure” and I took out my camera. Since there’s no one we knew around, Adam said, “Let’s see if we can do it on our own!” I pressed the button and took the photo. Yay, we did it.

Here’s the picture. For your eyes’ sake, I’ve chopped myself off. LOL

AND AFTER THIS HE REACHED OUT HIS RIGHT HAND. Awwww how nice was he! Isn’t it I should be the one who asked for shaking hands with him? We shook hands and he said “Have a nice day” to me.

“You too! Thanks so so much!”

Yes, thank you very much indeed. Actually I don’t live in London I’m just a visitor there– it was damn lucky of me to have met a favourite musician of mine in a foreign place! Now my trip is just beyond perfect, I know 😉

About Carol

I started writing on this site back in May 2009, not knowing what I was in for or where it would take me. I had no idea of the joy and personal satisfaction I'd find here. I never dreamed that I'd get to meet Adam, but that dream came true! The bonus of becoming such great friends with Lila and the other fans is what keeps me going. Music gets me though every day. In addition to Adam, I love Muse, Linkin Park, 80s and finding newer bands and supporting them by attending everything that's within 350 miles. With Adam, the boundaries are farther! Thanks for joining us on this ride! :)

  1. Amberboc says:

Yay for meeting Adam randomly on the street. Now I need him to be walking around Chicago so I can meet him!

  2. Onegoodwoman says:

How lucky you were! I want to be that lucky.

  3. I have heard Adam say several times how much he likes London and that he is bored with California. I wouldnt be surprised if he moved to London at some point.

  4. Nelson Savoie says:

I hope I get to see him but this time with my other half for over 30 years. If every I get a chance to get
him to sign a picture he took when was in American Idole. I tell you this man not only the best singer
he takes the best pictures ever. I am so bless I got to meet him the last time I saw him in New Orleans. Oh yes he is just so nice is right.

  5. Isn’t that every fan’s greatest wish – to have one on one time with Adam? I know it is mine.

Once, I thought I saw him in the Barnes & Noble coffee shop. Al though it would be highly unlikely that he would be in Reading, PA, I kept discreetly looking, just to make sure …!

  6. sandra LAMBERT !! says:

O M G !! you lucky lucky person, i am such a mega fan of adam, my hubby and teenage kids think ive gone round the bend , i hoped he would be as nice in the flesh ,he is a beautiful person and you have been blessed .,

  7. Oh!! Lucky!! If I were to meet Adam Lambert, I’d die of a heart attack right in front of him. :B I wish he’d come to Wichita so I could run into him randomly….

  8. My gosh Adam looks so good, palatable and edible. LOL What a perfect setting for Adam, because he is vintage, just like the place. His journey to stardom is not just spur of the moment, will o’ the wisp, accidents of adolescence, but a many year honing of his craft. He’ll be established and vintage in the music industry, because even his fans are vintage. LOL

Like vintage wine, we fans can grow stronger and better as we age with Adam’s music playing in our ears.

Hi; Jill. Hope Olga is fine too. I miss the other Glambs in this site. Hope to hear from them soon, so we can all still journey together with Adam’s music.

  9. sun-n-stars says:
