“If Adam Lambert and Marilyn Manson Had a Child . . . “

Have you seen Andrew De Leon on America’s Got Talent? He’s a goth/glam-styled singer with a look and a voice that comes out of nowhere. Granted he is not a trained opera singer, but just to catch the look combined with his voice is an out-of-this-world experience. I imagine he’s got contacts in his eyes, but for all I know this is natural.

Which brings me around to Adam! On the results night from this performance, I took great delight that Adam Lambert was used as a frame of reference. Andrew was one of judge Howie Mandel’s Wild Card picks. After his performance, Howie took great delight in the audience’s response and shouted out “If Marilyn Manson and Adam Lambert had a child, it would be you!“ If I could only find the video showing that! If anyone can find it, please include a link.

By the way, the comments from judges Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel are spot-on. The criticism is constructive and they don’t lead anyone on with false hopes. No sugar coating like we had to suffer through during the past 2 years of American Idol. Hey Idol judges, pay attention!

Be sure and check out the second video. It’s Andrew’s first audition in front of the judges. It’s very reminiscent of Adam’s San Francisco audition. And if it looks like it’s Adam’s If I Had You, it’s not. Don’t know why that is showing!

Love ya!

About Carol

I started writing on this site back in May 2009, not knowing what I was in for or where it would take me. I had no idea of the joy and personal satisfaction I'd find here. I never dreamed that I'd get to meet Adam, but that dream came true! The bonus of becoming such great friends with Lila and the other fans is what keeps me going. Music gets me though every day. In addition to Adam, I love Muse, Linkin Park, 80s and finding newer bands and supporting them by attending everything that's within 350 miles. With Adam, the boundaries are farther! Thanks for joining us on this ride! :)

God, that was horrific, I couldn’t even listen to it all. Why in the hell does he have to try to sing opera? There has got to be something his voice is better suited for.

  2. I think he should be more like Marcel Marceau

  3. I definitely am not a lover of opera. Never was, never will be! I too think he should change his style of music. But we must remember, Adam Lambert, has always been his own person and that it one of the aspects of him (among many, many others) that I admire about him. I again, don’t care for Andrew’s style of music, but I do find him interesting.

  4. The young man has a unique voice, I’ll give him that. I don’t think
they are ready for a young man who sounds like a woman.
Maybe if he’d sang in lower register,…..

  5. the second one was Adam and I enjoyed it very much. didn’t really like the other one though. Adam can sing!

  7. Holy Jesus help us! Rita

  8. What a Voice!!! Hope Andrew makes it , we need more diverse music in this world besides rap and some of the want-to-bes. I hope Adam Lambert had some affect on him, he’s great!!! Rita

  9. I thought Andrew sounded pretty good considering that he’s never had any training. He hits the high notes, and that takes training. I think he can have a good career. I hope someone takes him under their wing and trains the heck out of him.
